GarageBand looking not connected network drive
When I take my laptop away from my network home and open Garageband, it takes a long time to open and then gives an error message saying that it cannot find a NAS drive (which is installed in my home network).
If I hit OK, then I can use Garageband, but if I try to use sharing, or even if I just mouse over the menu item from action, the application gives me the rotation beach ball and finally the message again that it can't find the network drive appears. It is almost impossible to export the song because when I click to dismiss the pop-up message, the drop of share also disappears.
I don't know why Garageband is looking for the network drive. I tried the sacking of preferences and restart; I even uninstalled Garageband and reinstalled (when I wasn't home).
Of course, when I'm home and can access the network drive, this happens. But it's very embarrassing when I record somewhere else.
It's something to do with my user, because if I log in with a different account, the behavior occurs.
Help?
GarageBand 10.1.0
When I take my laptop away from my network home and open Garageband, it takes a long time to open and then gives an error message saying that it cannot find a NAS drive (which is installed in my home network).
GaregBand seeks always to open the last project that you opened.
When you are not connected to the NAS server you use at home, try to launch GarageBAnd by double clicking on a project that is on your local drive.

Can not access network drives after installation of Windows 8 Pro
Hi all
I have a concern with a PC in Windows 8.
I am rebuilding a new laptop for a user. Successfully, I added to the domain and assigned privileges for the user. When I try to log on to the PC with the new user account, I can not access network drives. When I log in with my account, I am able to access the network without problem drives.
When I'm on the user account I can see the other computers on the network as well. But for some reason I can't access network drives. Other computers on the domain are running Windows 7 Professional. Can someone help me with this?
Thank you

My laptop says he not a network card, I can't connect to internet via wifi or with a cable, he said also that I don't have the ehernet controller network controller PCI Device and SM Bus controller drivers
If you can borrow an internet friends, you can download the drivers, to transfer them to a Flash DRIVE or a CD. Without network drivers, you cannot connect to the internet.

Network PC running MS XP.
User 1 logs on to the computer and all readers map correctly.
User 2 logs on same pc and no disks is mapped.
User 2 connect another pc and all card readers correctly.
I tried to delete the user and re-create.
Any suggestions?
If User1 connects readers card correctly.
Then User2 logs on the same PC and impossible to map drives. Question: User1 log on this computer before connected User2 or did you use a "fast user switching" in User2 log on without disconnection User1? I ask because a given PC is only allowed to authenticate to a server with a single user at a given time. If User1 authenticates and then made a fast-user-switch for User2, then user2 will not be able to authenticate because User1 has not connected to the wide and taking into account its authentication. You will have the same problem if you restart this computer, then User2 connects immediately?
Which servers do you have connection/mapping to? They are the Home Windows machines? Windows Pro machines? Windows Server machines? Network Attached Storage (NAS)? How do you authenticate on the server machine?
You can try to map using the window prompt (start-> Run-> "cmd"). Generally, I find that mistakes are much better from the MISTLETOE command prompt. In a command window, try to map a drive using the following command. Examine the error you get from this attempt:
NET user * \\servername\sharename
or, if you are authenticating with a particular user:
NET user * \\servername\sharename / user: servername\username
The above assumes that you are not in a domain environment. Replace "Servername" and "sharename" with appropriate names, but also the "username" If you authenticate you as a specific user.

IM under Win 7 Pro 64 bit on my laptop, im am Setup on an Exchange to my office network. The laptop has an SD card reader, and since I use CF cards I have a USB card reader also (my old card reader has been pre Win 7, so in desperation, this last weekend, I bought a new Targus card reader that preload drivers and is Win 7 compatible.
The question is when im not connected to my office network and I put an SD card in the embedded player, or use the USB drive (the old drive did the same thing if it is not a drive issue) the computer laptop reconizes the event by sound in my computer scans the URL bar, and the card will not appear in the my computer window. So im hooked on my network it readings, launches autoplay and wonder what to do (as I have it setup to do).
I always perform software updates and just checked my Windows is up-to-date.
Any ideas as to what is happening and how to fix?
Thank you

Connected to the internet, but not connected network magic shows
My network is connect to the internet, both wired and wireless. On the compputer connected by magic cable network shows not connected, but I am connected. Unable to print remotely. Router shows connected but the network card is not.
Thank you
After reading your response, I decided to uninstall and reinstall the program. Thought it would be a little easier. I felt that the problenm was that the program had been damaged but hesitate to reinstall it because I downloaded from the internet several years ago and could not find the product key. I finally found the program cisco and the location of the key and now works. Not as sexy but effective.
Thank you once again

Field batch script will not map network drives
I have a user that the workstation has begun refusing map network drives. We are on a server 2 k 3 domain and use batch files to map network drives. The user computer is Windows 7. When the user logs on, the command prompt appears with the following message is displayed:
'\\maj0131\c$ '.
CMD. EXE was launched with the path under the current directory.
UNC paths are not supported. Default in the Windows directory.
67 system error has occurred.
The network name cannot be found.
maj0131 is the name of the user's computer. I can't access the user account network shares if I manually type the address of share in the address bar of Windows Explorer. Also, if I run the same exact script locally, it works perfectly. Help, please?

Lightroom can not 'see' Network drive
OK, for the last two years of using lightroom, I had my RAW files stored on a xserve RAID which is networked with my editing station. Nothing about this configuration has changed and has worked very well until Monday (it was for sure a Monday)
Monday, after I installed the plugin x-rite color checker passport, I decided to restart my machine because it became slow have only worked on several large files in Photoshop. Lightroom wanted to make his weekly backup of the catalog, so I left it. Fast forward to a few hours later, lightroom has been locked up for sure. So I had to force quit, and then restart.
When restarting lightroom gave me? on most of the files on my network drive, a single folder showed normal. I checked the disk and permissions all's well here. I tried one of my many backups of catalogue with the same results. I didn't have time to monkey, so I erased prefs and App folder lightroom support and proceeded to re - install lightroom. After that I got the same result. At this point I also noticed in the screen import that he saw only a single folder on the disk... At that time, I did a catalog completely new, based on this years only images (24 k or so compared to 43 k in my other catalog) and left that go from one day to the next. all imported correctly and the preview images created, however this new catalogue has the same problem!
Help, please!
Note, I just tried lightroom on another machine and he sees the thin files.
Have you tried to navigate to the network folder using the interface of the Explorer/finder on that you get when you click "Select source" and choose "Other Source" from there? If you can find the file in question, try to import an image from there.

Because the Ethernet drivers are up-to-date and functioning normally, the possible cause of this problem may be due to one of the following numbers below:
- Damaged Port Ethernet.
- Damaged network card.
- Cable damaged.
According the description, it seems that the cable works fine. This could be a hardware problem. That's why I suggest you consult with a local computer hardware technician just to make sure that the network hardware components is damaged.

Windows Vista is not mapped network drives on a network server
I set up a home network server which I can access and map drives on a Windows7 and Windows XP computer on the network. However, I can't do it from my Windows Vista computer. The vista PC can find and configure the server through its IP address, but it does not appear on the topic of network and sharing. The network is set to private, all parameters are checked to allow sharing and access and the server is on the same workgroup. Any ideas on what prevents Windows Vista map server readers?

Using windows 7 I have a drive NAS that I need to connect manually whenever my machine that we start - I want that he remember details of connection and do it automatically at startup of the machine because it is also used by my wife and I want auto backup to run.

message "Could not reconnect all network drives" is an error
I am using windows 7 Home premium, with a small local LAN supporting 3 PC. There are 2 stores connected to the network on the LAN for backup (a device) and multimedia data archives (the other device).
Lately at the start, I always get the message "cannot re - connect all network drives", but explore can access the network drive and view the contents of files on this subject. the following image illustrates this case:
Note see the sharing Y: mapped drive that is not connected with a big red X, even though I can access the contents of the folder of this one (pictured above).
So next, I selected Y: and properties and got the following picture for the reader (bomb box properties coming to slightly overlap the content of the file):
Now it is said nothing in the drive capacity which should contribute to this (25% of space), but pointed out that only the action get properties has managed to change the y to so-called connection not connected (but still available) by a big X red, supposed to be connected, with a green sticker on the drive icon shows now.
These 2 images were taken less than 3 minutes apart - the timer it took to snapshot screen not connected, crop the image to remove the spaces empty and save them, and then get the properties one and do the same thing.
The question is - why windows do this? It is obviously not something wrong with the devices, and even when it allegedly is 'not connected' the drive mapped a share can still provide content of records of levels 2 and 3 to the bottom of the tree.

cable not connected network adapter
I have norton antivirus online via my ISP and I had to disable, because it comes with an error that says "cable not connected or missing network adapter" I use dial-up and do not use any type of router and I'm not on a network. I also tried to disable my network card & it still says the same error. I have an internal network card that came w / the computer (NOT a PCI one) and I wonder if there is a cord or a plug inside my computer that must be plugged. I made some changes on the internal hardware and might have missed an and I didn't have to open my Tower if it wasn't. It's a big hassle! Help, please!Hello
1. Once you get the error message?
2. do you get the error when you try to disable Norton anti-virus?
3. are you able to access the Internet explore?
Temporarily disable the antivirus on the computer running software and check if you are able to install the software.

Please, I need pc
Original title: windows 7 and bios does not see the hard drive. but when I connect the hard drive to the USB with an adapter, I see directories and files... Ive a hp Pavilion, what to do?
Check the BIOS for hard drive setting.
Make sure that you do not connect the drive to a SATA/RAID port.
Old IDE drives - check the jumper on the drive (use "Cable Select" as a starting point), the BIOS must also be set in legacy/compatibility/IDE mode. Note: If you currently use the AHCI mode, then switch to IDE mode may cause Windows to boot.

Move catalog to network drive.
I need some good advice for a catalog of 13 k + photos I am trying to clean up. I use Elements 7, I bought 11 elements and plans to install soon. Part of my photos are physically located on my hard drive, and are on a network mapped as J: drive. Elements are found these pictures j: but I don't think that the catalog of items is aware that J: is a removable network drive. It seems to them everytime I open elements, making the program very slow to start. Should I use the "passage to a removable drive" to move these photos? How the elements will handle these pictures were sent to a removable drive? I will be always able to view thumbnails of photos and search through my tags for them? If I copy my photos to a new disk, but still call this drive J: elements will be able to find them? And finally, if I perform this task 'move to removable disk', do I do now with Elements 7 or 11 elements first day? Help, please. Joanne

If the Organizer is slow to start and seems to be looking, you need to check two things:
-that you do not have to pay for the service "watched folders" to look at the network drive (file / looked at the menu of folders)
-in preferences, files, you don't have checked search automatic and reconnection.
If you can access your files on the network from the Organizer drive and see the thumbnails, no need to worry. You can move the files to your internal drive to and from the network, one by the file / move the menu or by dragging and dropping files in the folder. The organizer should not consider the network drive differently from an external USB drive: If such a unit is not physically connected, you will get "missing files". Displays only the thumbnails that are stored in the catalog. It is different from files on a CD/DVD: when they are not connected, you will get a warning of offline support.
Only the catalog itself (the database) can be stored on a drive network; However, it can be stored on a USB external drive.
If you want to upgrade to PSE11, be sure to perform a full backup to a second drive external (these USB keys are affordable today). Note that since this backup, you can restore the files not only on their location of origin, but also in a custom location, for example in the internal computer drive (even if the original files are scattered on several internal or external drives).
If you install PSE11 on your current computer, you should be prompted to convert the existing catalogs to the new format of PSE11 without having all the files or folders to move or copy. This conversion does not change your current PSE7 catalog, which still works as before.
