GB storage info

I have an IPod old Nano with 8 GB of storage, which I have about 1.7 GB free. I like to keep track of how many GB of files of song is when I add them so I don't miss about the room, but I can't find anything in ITunes that tells me that this info - my mix just tells me I have a value of 2 days of songs in the list, which is nice , but not exactly what I want to know. Is it possible to tell how many GB that the mixture is so I don't know how many songs I can add before I maximum?

By clicking on the status bar at the bottom of the iTunes screen switches between exact and approximate values for the entire duration and storage for the current view or selection:

  • Incorrect storage info - yet I've not solved!

    Hello!

    I had this problem for some time.

    "In"about this Mac"-" storage "", he says I have 77 free GB to 999 GB. " This is not correct, for if I click on "go" in the top menu of Apple, then "computer", the Macintosh HD said 922GB, but the individual files added without even adding up to 500 GB. This means that the storage news are about 500 GB of evil!

    However the Macintosh HD 2 (my drive to another internal), seems to show the correct numbers, but my main drive is waaayy off.

    I had this problem a few months back and I want to fix now because my Time Machine backups do not work properly from the computer think there is not enough space to copy on.

    ----------------------------------------------

    What I've tried so far.

    I tried to re-indexing of spotlight with various techniques, also in the Spotlight menu in the preferences and the inside of the Terminal (here, I typed "sudo mdutil EI / '), but it doesn't seem to work.

    I think there is something wrong with the Time Machine, that perhaps it adds information file upp to the essential motivation or something (idk?).

    Can someone help me with this problem please? I would be very grateful!

    Because now I can't back up my computer properly and it was a while since I did

    BTW, I use OSX El Capitan version 10.11.3, Mac Server minin (end of 2012).

    Download and run OmniDiskSweeper as root. You should be able to tell what is take up space.

  • How do I access cloud storage on my iPhone 6?

    I bought 50 GB of cloud pour.99 $ / month at Apple. I always get waiting for my app Dexcom that there is not enough storage on my device. I also got this msg after purchase and download of an album of 30 song from iTunes. I checked my middle storage info & he confirmed 50 GB in the cloud, but I have no idea how access. Any thoughts on how to proceed? Any help would be much appreciated!

    I have an iPhone 16 GB age of 7 months 6 in perfect working condition.

    Thank you!

  • MBP App space

    I already made the mistake of buying the 128 GB MBP - nowhere near enough space.

    Due to this oversight, I bought the card of extra storage to Transcend that will be used for large photos, videos, etc.

    So now, according to my storage info-, I have 17 GB used with Photos, about 14 GB with others, some elements such as backup etc.

    and more than 50 GB with Apps leaving 38 GB of free space!

    Not quite - well why on earth 50 GB used for Apps?  When I check the info on my Apps it says 15 GB on the disc.

    This laptop has been so frustrating to the purchase of $2,000 and was supposed to be my go to total for the coming years, but I barely running for my purposes - why the huge loss of storage?

    Storage info you speak are notoriously little reliable. How much free space the report Finder?

    If there is a big difference, the Spotlight database reindexing can help: rebuild the index on your Mac - Apple Support Spotlight

  • Disk space issues

    Hello, I discovered this problem, try to install some programs, I got the message "Complete startup disk" pop - up so I opened the storage news. As you can see in the picture 'Other' section is supported of the disc space. I have no idea of what occupies as much memory, I don't have knowledge of downloading something that could be taken of this huge amount of GB.

    Another thing, the 108.7 MB of free space keeps changing everytime I open the storage info. As soon as he was 458 MB and 5 MB once.

    OS X El Capitan

    iMac (21.5 inch, at the end of 2013)

    Some time, I had a similar problem, discovered a game controller that I had installed software for my fill error logs and filling of the hard drive. You can check the logs and see how much space they use.

  • VMware 5.5 Upgrade breaks access the VMFS data store (kind of)

    Now, before I get off, I will say that I am sure that the host I'm doing this on IS NOT on the HCL.

    (why I'm running old hardware?-c' is a community organization that I volunteer for which relies on hardware dontated)

    However, please read on.

    Updated an IBM x 3500 and a x 3650 (same generation - they are basically Tower and rack mount versions of the same kit) to esxi 5.1 to 5.5.

    (Exactly the same problem on both)

    Local storage - IBM Serveraid (aacraid)

    I was a bit confused as the controllers of disk and LUN show always also visible (just no VMFS didn't recognize any time how I rescan).

    (normally the LUNS do not appear due to a driver does not)

    I found that I was able to get future LUNS by practice

    'Add a storage '.

    "Disk/LUN.

    (30-60 seconds then shows the LUNS)

    1.png

    It shows the drive bays, I click Next and select "mount disc and keep the signature '...

    2.png

    The lun then comes fine and everything works.

    However rebooting it gets lost again and I have to repeat the process to get the VMFS volumes to come back.

  • PowerCLI Script to get all the data in a row store...

    Hi all

    What I'm trying to accomplish is to get this type of output:

    Cluster, host, WWN1, WWN2, Datastore1, Datastore2,..., data store DatastoreX

    So 1 row for each host, with attached all warehouses of data in the same row

    Number of data warehouses can vary from 1 to 30.

    So far, I have created this script:

    $clusters = Get-Cluster | sort

    But this gives me a line by the data store, as well as several lines for each host.

    Could someone point me to a method how to proceed?

    Thank you and best regards,

    You can use the Join function

    Something like that

    $clusters = Get-Cluster | sort
    $StorageInfo = @()

    foreach ($cluster in $clusters){
        Write-Host $cluster
        $VMHosts = Get-Cluster $Clusters | Get-VMhost | sort    foreach ($VMHost in $VMHosts){
            $Vendor = ""
            $VMhostname = $VMHost.Name
            $WWN1 = "{0:x}" -f ($vmhost.ExtensionData.config.storagedevice.HostBusAdapter | where { $_.Key -match "FibreChannelHba" })[0].PortWorldWideName
            $WWN2 = "{0:x}" -f ($vmhost.ExtensionData.config.storagedevice.HostBusAdapter | where { $_.Key -match "FibreChannelHba" })[1].PortWorldWideName

            if ( ($vmhost.ExtensionData.config.StorageDevice.ScsiLun | where { $_.Key -match "Disk"}).count -gt 1 ){
                $Vendor = ($vmhost.ExtensionData.config.StorageDevice.ScsiLun | where { $_.Key -match "Disk" -and $_.Model -notmatch "Block Device"})[0].Vendor
            } else {
                $Vendor = ($vmhost.ExtensionData.config.StorageDevice.ScsiLun | where { $_.Key -match "Disk" -and $_.Model -notmatch "Block Device"}).Vendor
            }

            $Datastores = [string]::Join(',',($VMHost | Get-Datastore | sort | %{$_.Name}))

            $myObj = "" | Select Farm,HostName,WWN1,WWN2,Vendor,Datastore
            $myObj.Farm = $Cluster.Name
            $myObj.HostName = $VMhostname        $myObj.WWN1 = $WWN1        $myObj.WWN2 = $WWN2        $myObj.Vendor = $Vendor        $myObj.Datastore = $Datastores
            $StorageInfo += $myObj    }
    }

    $StorageInfo | convertto-csv -NoTypeInformation | Out-File ./Storage-info.csv

  • Persistence of info external storage device music

    I have a 16 GB USB with adapter OTG. Because I'm running out of space on my phone, I keep my music on the USB port. I can download music info (which is a bit incorrect, but that's another story) for music, but as soon as I eject the USB, all the music info is lost. This only happens when the phone is turned on. Is there a way to stop the lost music info when external storage devices are removed with music on them?

    Yes: Connect this USB to your PC and use software Media Go update info music, phone updates is stored locally on the phone itself, so if you remove the USB key, reset the phone or deleted from the media database updates will be lost. Also is it better to update the media on the USB.

  • Powershell scripts need to collect info ESX storage

    Hello

    I need three scripts to collect information from ESX storage as shown below

    1. information on the hardware-storage & gt; to collect information on the SCSI controller and HBA cards.

    ESX name | | SCSI controller HBA1 | HBA2

    Expected results

    ESX name | SCSI (model, Bios version, serial number, Raid config) | HBA1 (model, Firmware version, serial number, WWPN) | HBA2 (model, Firmware version, serial number, WWPN)

    Note: Need info on all controllers SCSI and HBA in the ESX box, so additional columns may be added as required.

    2. report on the use of storage - & gt; Usage report storage including local file system storage and SAN devices.

    ESX name | | File system Size | Opportunity | DISP | Use% | Mount point | Scopes

    Note: Need of all sizes in the UK. Extensions are applicable to data SAN storage and just the DiskID measure as vmhba1:1:1

    3 San disk information - & gt; To collect information on San Disk

    Disc ID | Lun ID | Size of the disk | Brand/model | Paths | Policy |     Active HBA WWPN

    Expected results

    vmhba1:1:1 | 0110 | 130 G | EMCxxxx | 4 | Fixed | xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • More storage after upgrade of Sierra - yej! ... But how can I claim it?

    After my upgrade to Sierra, I get the report attached when you click info on my HD.

    It is said that there are 158 GB that can be deleted - how can I do this? Where are these files?

    I'd love to get this if possible storage space.

    I hope someone can help

    Click the  menu in the upper left corner of the screen. Select "at about this Mac".

    In the comments Panel click on "Storage", then on the button 'manage '.

    The Panel to manage, click on "recommendations" in the sidebar.  Use the last option "reducing clutter" - press the button "Review files" to see the files that can be removed.

    Is your iPhoto Library Library on your system drive in the pictures folder? And you have a lot of free space on your system drive? The migration will need additional temporary storage.

    Then drag the iPhoto library icon pictures open to create a new library of Photos of her.

    Your albums appear unchanged in the Photos.  Events will appear as additional albums, because the pictures has no events.  See this link: How Photos handles content and metadata for iPhoto and Aperture - Apple Support

  • My iCloud storage said I have only 1.3 GB of available, but my backups phone says only that it uses 1.6 GB and my photo library using 1.2 GB and my mail read 176 MB iCloud. Why my available storage is a little more than 2 GB?

    Hi FunkyPanda007,

    I understand that you are concerned about your use of storage iCloud. I know it's important to make the most of the space available, so I'm happy to provide advice to help.

    It is important to note that some applications can use iCloud for synchronization of the data on your device as well. This is not reflected in the screen, you are on, which may explain the differences you see. You can see more info on your iCloud here storage utilization:
