There are a few places where you fall slightly below the other criterion of reference you quote interesting. In almost all, you beat the other criterion of reference. Both are running on the Mac Pro 5.1 systems. You run 10.11, the other criterion of reference is running 10.10. You have all the memory slots populated four, which is known to slow down the memory access to as much as ten percent in round numbers. The other criterion of reference is on a Mac with 3 slots populated interlaced in an optimal way.
Entire perfomance, only a few in multi-core very complex operations such as AES (encryption instructions), Sobel, Lua, Djistra in below the other criterion of reference - all others are faster.
In the floating point operations, all yours are faster.
Access memory, single pole are slightly slower, multi-core are quite a bit slower.
It's possible the tests were not built as the playing field for the newest processor, or changes in system 10,11 libraries have slowed some operations. The difference of memory can be mostly down to your use of the fourth shared memory slot. I would certainly ask the developer to test on these differences.
Overall, I would say that the performance of the two systems on this test are almost comparable.

Very slow computer from El Capitan 10.11.3
I hope that someone can help you. My computer is very slow and unstable since the El Capitan 10.11.3 patch. I am on a MacBook Pro 15 "-end 2011. The computer is particularly slow in Safari, but was slower than normal as well. I backed up my files in Time Machine to an external drive before any troubleshooting, so I'm really happy about it. The person had me clear everything and go into recovery mode and reinstall the OS. After that I had problems with closing down and restart so I reinstalled again and just have not stopped since then. I don't him have NOT YET migrated all my files back and will not until I know that the system is stable. My laptop is functional but still just very slow. Can someone please help? I'm desperate! Thank you so much in advance!

Slow computer, with a lot of not Respondings
All of a sudden I feel some very slow computer operation, randomly, but occurring essentially (like big breaks when you type this note while I couldn't type - several times). This is just an example - here's more:
-take several seconds (sometimes 10-15 seconds) to appear in the email preview pane
-take 10-15 seconds for a PDF file is displayed after double-clicking
-sometimes for 10 to 15 seconds to close a window
-sometimes 10 to 15 seconds when you click homepage, folders, display, count tabs on Windows Live Mail
-also 10 to 15 seconds discovers a photo after double clicking on a jpeg image file
-delays when you type in the search for box
-sometimes very slow loading of programs (and most of the cases above have to do with something loading)
-(don't know for the sake of typing (i.e. of the breaks in the middle of a line)
-Many do not respond (IE 10.0, Live Mail, Windows Explorer, Adobe Reader, almost everywhere)
I got these things in the past, but only very rarely (not more than a few times a day, if that), but now they are chronic (but random) - like constantly for a few minutes and then they clear up for a few minutes. For these last days, they have been more frequent in the late afternoon or early evening, when I'm more active on the computer.
In fact, they are so bad that occasionally they make my computer almost unusable.
I ran Malewarebytes and a Microsoft Security Essentials - no virus scan. I have delete just maybe 20,000 electronic messages in the Live Mail folder deleted, but that did not help. I have just some time he put a floor fan extra on the computer where there is a kind of heat problem (the House temperature is in the high 70 years), but tht didn't help either (at least so far).
I have published the Task Manager and have been watching process CPU usage (on my 2nd screen). Most of the time is to be spent in the system idle process - and you know how he flashes every second or so (when he's done things), sometimes when things were locked u (frozen, whatever), the display of the process seems to have stopped for several seconds - as she did not answer either.
Can you offer any help or advice. As I said, sometimes the system is pretty unusable. And randomly. I got 3 messages "(Microsoft.com ne répond ne pas de) when typing the 1st paragraph of this note, but have not had any problems since."
Can it be a heat problem, graphics problem or something like that - because it seems to stretch across everything I do.
Dell, XPS, 1.5 years, 300 GB of free space, 16 GB system memory, Windows 7 with 2 monitors.

Think about it an absolute must - manually update your drivers.
Vista and Windows 7 updated drivers love then here's how update the most important.
This is my generic how updates of appropriate driver:
This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded: run DriverView - define the VIEW
for the drivers Microsoft hide - updated those without drain in their names. (Also updated
the BIOS and chipset drivers.)-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded on your system.
For each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address of the driver,
Description, version, product name, company that created the driver and more.
http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.htmlFor drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.
Control Panel - device - Graphics Manager - note the brand and complete model
your video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now, click on update
Driver (this can do nothing as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then right-click.
Uninstall - REBOOT it will refresh the driver stack.Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party
with their own software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have. Now in the system manufacturer (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) site (in a restaurant), peripheral
Site of the manufacturer (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for
BIOS, Chipset and software updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after
each installation.Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you actually install
presents itself. This is because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (sound card drivers
in particular that) so to install a driver - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat as
necessary.Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW in the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER device - check
manually by model.Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.
http://pcsupport.about.com/od/driverssupport/HT/driverdlmfgr.htmInstallation and update of drivers under Windows 7 (updated drivers manually using the methods above
It is preferable to ensure that the latest drivers from the manufacturer of system and device manufacturers are located)
http://www.SevenForums.com/tutorials/43216-installing-updating-drivers-7-a.htmlIf you update the drivers manually, then it's a good idea to disable the facilities of driver under Windows
Updates, that leaves about Windows updates but it will not install the drivers that will be generally
older and cause problems. If updates offers a new driver and then HIDE it (right click on it), then
get new manually if you wish.Stop Windows 7 to automatically install device drivers

Hello
I know that for your computer to start faster, you can disable in msconfig certain applications or auto-start services
I also know that to make your computer faster to do a virtual and half larger than the memory size, more you will need to start it and the value of the same size virtual memory, for example start value 3000 end value3000.
I know also some malicious spyware can slow down your computer.
In addition, you can add more memory to mke your computer more fast, your drive hard must be empty of 25%.
In addition to these things I mentioned before nested thing wat do I check to solve the problem of slow computer?
can you give me some?
Thank you
Johan
The size of the virtual memory required will depend on the type of requests and is influenced by the installed physical memory. The 1.5 times value really applies to computers with a limited amount of ram and the use of virtual will decrease with an increase in physical (but remove never virtual memory altogether) while Shawn says investigate fitting over RAM.
Setting the pagefile identical to max and min values will reduce fragmentation but was so moving to a less actively used by car.
http://TechNet.Microsoft.com/en-us/magazine/ff382717.aspx
The largest suites 'internet security' may have much more impact than the plain simple AV (that's why I use MSE).
By far the biggest kick in performance should be move to the SSD, it reduces by half my boot time.
If a desktop computer fits a discreet graphics card, she discharge the graphic CPU and restores memory used.
As well as Msconfig, check the contents of the process in the Task Manager tab. Most will be perfectly legitimate, but you can identify the odd thief of uninstalled programs.
NOT tempted by claims of speed countless programs available. Rarely, they make a significant difference and can do serious damage.

I am running win7. Whenever I enter the info, the indicator (for the hourglass in xp use) works permanently. This makes the computer runs very slowly. How can I fix this?
Hello
Did you change to the computer?
Method 1:
I suggest you run Microsoft fix it tool and check.
Difficulty of Windows system performance slow computer problems
http://support.Microsoft.com/mats/slow_windows_performance/en-us
Method 2:
I also suggest you perform the clean boot and check.
Place the computer in a clean boot state, then check if it helps. You can start Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.
To set up the computer in a clean boot, follow the steps in the link: How to perform a clean boot
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135
Note: After checking in the clean boot, follow step: 7 article to reset your computer to normal startup.
Method 3:
I also suggest you to see link and check.

My computer is slow, and none of the troubleshooting suggestions seem to help. I disabled all startup programs unnecessary, Defrag, my 'score' is a Norton 4.2 is no problem. I have 6 GB of available ram 5.75. Yet when I operate, say, media library, it works very well for a few minutes and then slowing to the degree that if I can manage to drag the mouse to close the program, it takes several minutes to do.
Help!
Hello- What version of Windows are you using?
- What were the changes made before the show?
- How long have you been faced with this problem?
You can view these methods:Method 1:
Try the SFC scan on the computer.SFC/scannow is a very useful command that you can use in any version of Windows. When the SFC (System File Checker) command is used with the/scannow switch, the tool analyzes all the important files of Windows on your computer and replace if necessary.Missing and the corruption of the operating system (like many DLLs) files are probably the main cause of the major problems of Windows. In view of this, plus the fact that the SFC/scannow is completely automatic and very easy to use, the tool should be usually one of your top not troubleshooting.Reference:How to use the System File Checker tool to fix the system files missing or corrupted on Windows Vista or Windows 7
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929833Method 2:I recommend you perform the clean boot.
Configuration of your system in a clean boot state helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem. If so, you need to maybe contact the manufacturer of the program for updates or uninstall and reinstall the program.
See the following article in the Microsoft KB for more information on how to solve a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or Windows 7:
How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

Note: After troubleshooting, be sure to set the computer to start as usual as mentioned in step 7 in the above article. -
Kernal_task with virtual memory, slow computer
I have an iMac 21.5 inch end 2013 with 8 GB RAM on OS X 10.11.6. The computer is incredibly slow and hangs up during long periods of time (minutes). In addition, I noticed when you save to my Time Capsule (ethernet connection, wifi is turned off) it will just make a break to half way through and stay there (e.g., 789 MB 450MO) for 30-45 min. activity monitor shows kernal_task taking up huge amounts of time processor (5:02:09), son (118), slow down wake ups (2752), and when I select the process name it shows the size of real but 781,2 MB of memory the size of the virtual memory of 70,51 Go.

I bought this product a few weeks ago now, and every time I use it, it makes my computer go tp so slow to the point where I can't actually do something on this subject, due to the fact that everything becomes inadmissible. Also, the rate at which I transfer files to it is also very slow. Any ideas why and what I can do to speed things up a bit?
Thank you.
Hello
You suggested that the laptop becomes slowly during the use of the external HARD drive.
I guess that transfer you a data from the HARD drive internal to the external USB HDD.
I think that it s not very rare, that the laptop runs slowly during the transmission of the data.
It depands on the program that runs in the context of the operating system.I put t know which interface you use USB2 or USB only, but data transfer depends on the interface.
