General questions about errors in eventvwr

Greetings.

I have a general question about some failed modules are stored in the Windows Event Viewer.

An error leading to the crashes some applications that I've seen several times now when supporting computer problems is something like this:
(Windows error reporting) Fault bucket, Type 0, name of the event: PCA2, (...) P1: application.exe, (...)

I wonder what this 'PCA2. Which is a kind of module Windows handles tasks such as allocating memory or smth. Like this? What could be the cause of these errors (physical memory problems / corrupt swap file / insufficient rights?)

Same Question for the application falls down because of "kernelbase.dll" as in:
(Application error) Failing application: application.exe, Version: 0.0.0.0, (...) Failed module: KERNELBASE.dll, Version: 6.1.7601.18015, (...) Path of the failing module: C:\Windows\syswow64\KERNELBASE.dll (...)

What is the .dll file and what could possibly cause kernelbase.dll Fault?

The application can be a bit buggy, but I wonder what could possibly cause these accidents and if there is a way to fix these problems - or what dev did wrong.

The two errors occur mainly on x 64 systems - especially Windows 7/vista

Kind regards

With application errors, the application is called everything first and the module he collaborated with is named second. Normally you should try to reinstall the application if you see not to repeat the mistakes. If this does not work, you go to the forum on the application to see if other users see the same error. There may be a bug in the application.

The observer of the Application event log contains Information reports (event ID: 1001) for errors where the details were sent to Microsoft for review. You will find that there are corresponding to the event ID: 1000 reports errors, either in the system or Application logs. These reports are also included in the center of the Action. Center type action in the area of research above the Start button and press ENTER. Click on the arrow pointing downwards to the right of Maintenance, and then click view reliability history. The errors reported are the Red orbs with a white cross. You can search for solutions to problems, but occasionally you get a significant response from Microsoft.

I can't tell you what it means PCA2. Google did not find a significant result. The reports themselves are not unintelligible, although I have never tried to understand the meaning of a particular report. I have extracted what, in my view, is a starting point of two reports:
Event name: PCA2 = P1: motherboard_utility_onoffchargesetup.exe P2: 4.65.0.0

Event name: PCA2 = P1: setup.exe P2: 11.0.0.28844

You have the app in the boredom and the version of the file. These details have been extracted a file of information system to a computer with a card mother Gigabyte. So, you see I have a starting point, if I wanted to determine the cause of a failure.

I will say before you go dive deep into each event ID: 1001 report that many are not easy to even begin to understand. However, they can provide useful clues.

KERNELBASE.dll is likely to be the module with which the application works. You need to focus on the application.  KERNELBASE is probably preceded by P3 or P4 in the report?

  • General question about the updates and version number

I have a general question about versions and update.  I'm new on this and am in the deep end of learning I want.

In vSphere web client, I see the following versions (these are exactly as the seller, he left a few months that I have screenshots in my documentation that match)

    Version - VMware ESXi, 5.1.0 1612806

    Profile - Dell (updated) ESXi - 5.1 - 799733 (A00)

I am trying to familiarize themselves with the Update Manager and I noticed that there are a lot of patches and updates available.

Lists of Update Manager 5 patches as "Missing" with Red x but directly above them are a list of patches with green tick indicating that "installed" - it is perhaps obvious, but im guessing 'installed' means really installed when displayed on the screen - there is an update installed, labeled "ESXI 5.1 all the update 2-' would be able to tell that it has been installed by the details of profile/version above?

I don't think it's a big deal at this stage, but if I install all missing patches and then the details of the version/profile change in summary screen?

    I hope this makes sense.

  • General question about the Browser element

Will look for an alternative, I found the Browser element and now I have a few questions about that:

As I am not yet experienced on the Interfaces of Java development, I was wondering if following senario is possible:

Have some HTML Pages which do the job of the Interface.

If you submit a form, the JAva Base program (the Master application) process all Information.

If you are viewing a list, the info is from a json of the Base program output.

As the Communication Server Client HTML, the only difference is, that all communications remains inside the app.

    Is this possible?

I can't speak to the idea of dealing with the entry of html, but I can confirm that it is possible for an application program to create a html page and providing the BrowserField for display.

  • How I replace perfectly my record excel sheet with ability of database? + General questions about computing distributed with LabVIEW

Surprisingly, I'm almost finished with a full blown control-simulation application, that I've been working on for more than a year now, thanks in no small part of this community. The final step is to run on the simulations of k ~ 8 and be able to meet a simulation and overall statistics on performance. Each simulation is taking about 6 minutes of real time to run (~ 2 seconds of real time per hour of simulation time, valid for 7 days of simulation), as we seek to about 800 hours of your time to simulate. I have 5 computers available and a raspberry 2 Pi these simulations on, I'm looking to set up a kind of compute cluster at the end in about 2 weeks.

The ability of current logging is sketchy; I got about 40 columns of data, and they are written in a spreadsheet with a .xls format tabs-delimited. This works very well for individual simulations, but it would be quite heavy to deal with if I had more than 20,000 of them. I think this must be done with a relational database sort, but my experience with databases is very limited, especially then, when it comes to LabVIEW. Here are my questions:

-Can I create a kind of master-slave configuration where a computer (and probably the Pi) keeps track of the simulations are complete, which are running, and who have never run? Computers slaves ask for simulation settings, and IP would give them to him.

-How should I take care of the database? Each simulation is about 500 k in .xls format, it's about 5 GB of data in all. Computers slaves synchronization from time to time to take care of the redundancy?

-How can I refine my memory + General fresh disk I/O? How can I know which items from my point of view most of them?

-Do you have suggestions for the implementation of clusters of databases relational/computer with LabVIEW?

I have attached a picture of my configuration of logging + the overall structure of the application. It is a state machine with a structure of the event for the interruptions.

  • General questions about the iphone compatible hearing aids, please?

I am a seller of oil field that moves and I need my first hearing aids.  I have loss of hearing with a classic old guy and it's average but I'm late for h / a. I'm missing an important part of my life and want to hear the birds sing again!  I currently use a 5 s with 9.2 and a bluetooth Plantronics traveler legend.  I have hands free for safe driving and especially for taking notes of value and wear it all day.  I don't listen to music or videos, no vehicle bluetooth and any other iOS device.  The goal is good h/a and the use of good phone.

I am interested in the Halo of Starkey and research scared me a bit of the questions that I barely understand!  Googling found a lot of comments, but they seem to all written by agents of sale or competitors.

Where is the microphone bluetooth on the Halos?

Is the call phone stereo or mono?

The function of the hearing aid remains so that on the phone?

In light of my basic needs, all warnings other than the stupid of these things cost?

I am also considering a 6s, this would be a better phone for the Halo team?

Let me know if you need more details.

Where is the microphone bluetooth on the Halos?

--> The microphone's upstairs behind the part of the ear. If you use the Halos as your ears "on the phone", you still talk in the phone's microphone.

Is the call phone stereo or mono?

--> Is not true stereo, but you will hear the call through two hearing aids.

The function of the hearing aid remains so that on the phone?

--> You can leave the active hearing aid microphones or cut them. It's your choice.

In light of my basic needs, all warnings other than the stupid of these things cost?

--> Feel free to test-drive a few models, unless the first really works well for you.,.

I am also considering a 6s, this would be a better phone for the Halo team?

-->, I can't comment on that, except to say that my experience with multiple iPhones over the years that I have great confidence that each new model is better than the previous. There are a few bumps on the road, but Apple is good enough, solve them. YMMV

Prone glitch or awkward iphone apps?

    --> Not, in my opinion.

I'm bored of conversation in the meeting rooms, restaurants are tough and shows are terrible for the hearing?

--> Which has not changed for me. It is the nature of sound amplification without being able to directly select that sounds to amplify and to mute.

Generally you are happy with new h/a and halos in particular.

    -->, I am very happy.

Everything is provided with a newbie would not recognize that you like?

  • General question about DHCP network configuration

In the past, I've always set up printers on network with a static IP address. With the proliferation of networked printers and progress in the printer driver software, I wonder if the static configuration is always recommended and necessary.

Let's say I have install an Officejet 6500 wireless printer configured for DHCP and it gets an address 192.168.1.7. To continue, the printer driver is installed on the computers all networked and the printer port is listed as HPxxx192.168.1.7. After a break from running, say that the address assigned dynamically changes printer 192.168.1.5, leading to the question... to will the computers still be able to print to the printer who has now a new IP address? Basically, is the intelligent print driver so that he will direct the print jobs to the new address without additional configuration? (perhaps the answer varies depending on the printer model and the operating system of the client)

I have installed HP network printers on a regular basis in a variety of operating system environments. So the question in more specific general. I don't feel a particular problem at this stage. But when I configure network printers in the future, an answer to the question will be useful.

    Thanks in advance.

It depends on.  On older printers a static IP address is very important on the latest not so much. It is really dependent on the platform on which rests the HP software.  HP printers currentlyon market, in theory, do not need static IP addresses.

In addition, when you set a static IP address, I always put one outside DHCP pool.  If the range is the range (.2 a.254) I reduced the scope and then put printers outside the pool.  This way there is never any conflict.

  • General questions about Cluster 4400 WLC

I have inherited some 4402 wireless LAN controllers and I am in charge of making their ship-shape. So I have a few general knowledge wireless, I have not worked with before wireless controllers and have a few issues with that I was wondering if someone could help me:

    (1) how can I check that the primary and secondary controllers are configured for failover without actually performing a test? Both have AP failback enabled, but I don't know what else to check.

    (2) they are running code 3.2.116.21. If I want with 3.2 or plan to move up to 4.X?

Thanks to a bouquet. I'm slowly working my way through the docs and the answers to them would of course speed up things.

    Hi Johnny,.

I hope things are well with you! The steps required to set up relief AP are detailed in the attached doc. I would always try to provide a Maintenance window to test this point, rather than not knowing for sure :)

    Now, for your second question, it is likely that you will want to upgrade the WLC to a version more recent code. They have passed through 4.0.x, 4.1.x and newer 4.2.x. 3.2 is a fair way behind. Take a look at the WLC Release Notes;

  • General questions about the material

    Hello

    1. it is true that the new power supply uses only 70% of its power? If so, after a few years, how many % of its power it wil use 60, 50%!

    2. I know that viruses and the power supply crash problems wil and sometimes every time reboot the computer.

can also problems of memory each time restarting the computer?

the same question I ask for the processor and the video card.

also, I want to know if the hard drive has a behavior too also.    Wil just Yes or no will suffice.

    Thank you

    Johan

Yes, everything you listed can cause a BSOD, or reset, but reboot is perhaps most often a power supply problem.
I'd be inclined to suspect the PSU power supply, HARD drive, motherboard, processor and RAM (in that order),
    with random reboot.
    Virus/Malware can also launch reboots.
Graphics cards would more often cause BSOD or TDR errors, but random restart is possible.

Power supplies have abilities different, usually measured in Watts/amperes. How much of this
the capability is used by the machine in percent is determined by the requirements of the power of the components
    in the machine.
Dedicated graphics cards are often the component with the higher power requirement.
The processor also uses a lot of power, and in the absence of a dedicated graphics card would have the
power requirements more. The other power requirements of components are quite small.

Power supplies have an efficiency rating, with a performance of over 80% is desirable.
Power supplies some of the ability to lose over time, but the current amount of the lost production is not
drama short term (first five years?), at least not with good quality food.
Cheap power supplies are another story. The can't count on him for reliability and are not
a good option on machines that are often under heavy load - machines games for example.
An additional 50-100W on requirements minimum psu is commonly used on gaming machines
    as the assurance of stability.
If a power supply fails it may damage other components.

  • General question about the themes...

Good day to all... A few Questions on the themes and my options for my app:

Some of my users are commenting that the application takes a bit of screen estate leaving less room for the actual data. They also comment that it's a bit boring!   (and for reference, they also use applications created using DevExpress by another development team... (https://demos.devexpress.com/RWA/SalesViewer/RevenueBySector.aspx) for an example...

So, I'm looking for options theme... If I look at the standard themes, I have 4 themes style HTML5 (23-26), which all use a lot of screen space (probably because they are designed with tablets in mind)...  But if I want to use a smaller style then Im left with just two styles a bit smaller (21 and 22). Who are both very close and very grey and bland... (let's call it company)...

I have also to search the Web and found very few themes available... There are a few sites, but nothing spectacular...  So on my questions:

Ive been told I should not use the existing themes, as are day a non-compliant with new browsers. However, some are very nice, and it's a shame, that they should not be used...

Did someone knows if they will become in the future, is it possible to migrate the? What are the implications of the use of one of the old legacy themes?

(and Im not a Web Designer and not a CSS expert either)?  Is there a generic method of simple method to change the topics without hours exploring CSS... (for example by changing the general theme to a more obvious color..) My thought is around 5 or six changes their that change the appearance / colors/style throughout the entire application etc...

    Richard Legge wrote:

As discussed in one of your previous threads, some 'legacy' themes are older than others. I wouldn't really classify a focus standards mode introduced in APEX 4.0 as "legacy", unless you need a complete support on mobile devices. As already said, I would like to avoid completely the themes of quirks mode 8, 10, 11, 13, 14, 15, 16, 18, 19 and 20.

No one knows if they will become in the future

Unlikely. A few fairly important bugs in original/first themes have never been fixed, so it is unlikely that Oracle will spend any effort to change them in the future.

is it possible to migrate their?

Regarding the themes inherited from 'real' quirks mode (marked with a ' * ' and listed above), my advice would be Don ' t bother. IMO, none of them are visually interesting enough to be worth the effort. Migration would imply:

    1. Adding a DOCTYPE HTML5 at all page templates to the trigger standards mode
    2. Validate the HTML code for all models
    3. Modify the HTML code to make it as standards compliant as possible
    4. Validate the CSS for all style sheets
    5. Edit the CSS to make it as standards compliant as possible
    6. The appearance test, dynamic behavior and accessibility in all required browsers
    7. Fixing of Visual rendering, dynamic behavior and accessibility (HTML, CSS and JS)
    8. Repeat 2 until levels required compliance to standards, rendering, dynamic behavior and accessibility are met.

    It's not trivial.

What are the implications of the use of one of the old legacy themes?

The themes 'true' legacy to be run in quirks mode, there will be problems with:

    • Lack of support for some features of APEX 4.x (for example, selectors of the region and interactive reports on the theme)
    • Incompatibility with jQuery waiting / requires the standard mode
    • Incompatibility with modern browsers and devices (pre - 4.x themes have been designed to be compatible with IE6 and equivalent browsers)
    • Incompatibility with modern HTML and CSS features due to running in quirks mode (there is a problem in Internet Explorer more than other browsers)
    • Accessibility issues
    • Difficulty overall customization appearance due to the incorporation of Visual elements (images and background colors) in table HTML layouts

Designed for Internet Explorer, the situation is much worse. Basically, there is no support for everything that didn't work in IE6 (for some values of 'work'). This means no CSS3, no support for many useful things from the CSS 2.1 (e.g. attribute selectors) specification and no support for the various elements and HTML attributes.

For the themes "inherited" standards mode, there will be fewer questions, probably mainly related to accessibility and support for non-bureau devices.

See also was content to change the Page size for a similar description.

Version 5 will implement some new themes?

    Yes.

Are at - it somewhere that Ive missed all good themes 'out there'... ?

Third party themes are available (usually for a price) from various places.

What other ways are there to customize the new themes... (and Im not a Web Designer and not a CSS expert either)?  Is there a generic method of simple method to change the topics without hours exploring CSS... (for example by changing the general theme to a more obvious color..)

Probably not. Especially for a novice not familiar with more advanced CSS techniques.

My thought is around 5 or six changes their that change the appearance / colors/style throughout the entire application etc...

This is likely to be amazingly difficult as the new themes make great use of the edge of CSS technical bleeding with several layers of rules to specify the appearance of a component. Heavy duty also includes CSS sprite images, which means that this customization requires editing of image as a substitute or changes to the CSS rules. See the following for examples:

  • R12.1.3 - General question about patching of intermediate level

R12.1.3 running on RH Linux 5.8.  Just applied PSU to the 11.2.0.3 database and now by looking at the Jan 2014 CPU refers to

Oracle Fusion Middleware 10.1.3.5 and patch 16802091 .

Now, in my last attempt to clogging, I made the correction to the database but I only did the correction of Middleware.

If I look at it is seems to be a process quite simple patch but I'm not sure what about my setup $ORACLE_HOME.

The Guide says to make sure that the $ORACLE_HOME of environment variable is defined but that normally gets together at TOOLS 10.1.2.

Do I need to put it to 10.1.3?

If I do that then opatch is set incorrectly.

Also can I assume by default my 10.1.3 Oracle_Home is 10.1.3.5 or how to check that?

If the patch is for 10.1.3 ORACLE_HOME, then you must set sourcing $INST_TOP/ora/10.1.3/.env file.

Once you source this file env, question "echo $ORACLE_HOME" and he must return the ORACLE_HOME 10.1.3.

For opatch, if you issue "what opatch" then it should point to $10.1.3 ORACLE_HOME/OPatch/opatch

  • Some General Questions about the externalization of authentication

We plane to outsource the APEX authentication so that it would be linked to the credentials of the end-user network. Were do because:

It is more in line with the expectations of the users.
It will simplify maintenance by the user.
When the user leaves the ice, their APEX access will be automatically disbanded as their network connections are disabled.

We found some very good articles on the subject, for example http://www.greenit.li/greenIT/Willkommen_files/Oracle_APEX_ProofOfConceptNTLMPLSQL.pdf (other suggestions would be welcomed and encouraged). However; We have a few questions:

The first is authentication and authorization. We get how end users can be authenticated based on Active Directory. However, within the APEX now, create us a new user and specify if who are developers, who, team development Application Builder, SQL workshop, they can access. schemas are accessible to them, etc. This page requires, of course, a password.

How will this work if the authentication is outsourced? We always create the same user in the APEX?
If so, what should we put the password related areas?
If this is not the case, how do we control authorization once authentication completed successfully?
If not, how to make the application available for users (authenticated network) and not others?
If the application allows the user to pass a password (assuming that they are properly connected to the network), what should happen when a person clicks on logout?

    Thank you for any input,

If it is impossible, tell me please who are tools that I can use for this?

    Thank you.

-can I develop UI panels/windows customized using my own controls(buttons/sliders/etc)?

Yes. You write a DLL so all the Windows APIs are available for you – that includes GUI objects. If you talk of widgets Adobe then not you must stay within their framework (for example, filters, exporters)

-can I get all the info on the current project (imported files, chronology, effects, etc)?

Partially. You can get calendar information and clip, but it is not talk you about the applied effects.

Download the SDK and look at the PDF document. Also from that look at the API header files it references - they have comments in them that expand information document (especially for things like widgets and what information is available on the project)

  • General question about adding storage Readynas 204

I have Readynas204 on x-raid with three discs of 3 TB sends me some 5.45 TB of storage. Yesterday I added another 3 TB and readynas recognized without any problems but the storage size has not changed. I installed the new drive straight out of the box and I don't think that it should reformat because the drive status is green and the 'Format' button is grayed. The State is green, but that is to say the reconstruction of the volume. My question is I am suppsed to see the storage of 8,38 to size once the volume rebuild process is finished? or I suppsed to see increased storage size rightaway after adding the 4th disc? Thought I should ask this here first before submitting a ticket. Thank you

You should see the larger size when the rebuild is complete.

  • General questions about FPGA Interface C API 2.0

I developed an application in LabVIEW FPGA 2011 on a Board of the R-Series PXI and a host application LabVIEW 2011 Windows XP to communicate with him via DMA FIFO.  I'm trying to adapt the interface to CVI 8.1 (preferred) or CVI 2009 using the Interface of FPGA C API 2.0.  The example of FIFO that it stores in the directory C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\National Instruments\FPGA Interface C API\Examples\ gave me a few questions:

    1. The functions NiFpga_WriteFifoI16 and NiFpga_AcquireFifoWriteElementsI16 are two different ways to do the same thing? I wasn't clear where I do the extra copy if you use NiFpga_WriteFifoI16. I guess the combination of NiFpga_AcquireFifoWriteElementsI16 with NiFpga_ReleaseFifoElements is the way to go if I want to stay out of trouble.
    2. I intend to call NiFpga_Initialize and NiFpga_Open in an initialization function that gives the word initially, then keep the session handle in calls to other functions.  The session handle is always not null when it opens successfully?  Could I use it as a test to make sure that I have a session valid before calling any other functions-example:
      If (session) {NiFpga_WriteFifoI16 (...)}
    3. Interface of FPGA C API 2.0 is only announced work in CVI 2009 up on.  If I include NiFpga.c and .h in my project CVI 8.1, it seems to compile fine, but I did have the chance to integrate yet.  Is there something specific that would make CVI 8.1 not work?  Our deployment environment of difficult application CVI upgrades

    -Jim

    Jim,

    With regard to your questions:

    1. Yes, these two functions are the same, however there is a big difference between the two. NiFpga_AcquireFifoWriteElementsI16 acquires, prepares and publishes FIFO elements to avoid the need to write the first in a buffer allocated by the separate user, then copy the contents of the elements in the memeory host buffer. Considering that, in the NiFpga_WriteFifoI16 does not work. So the NiFpga_ReleaseFifoElements should always be used with the NiFpga_WriteFifoI16. The example is just showing how the code should be used, but is not necessarily displayed works should be used together. I understand perfectly why he was confusing.

    2. the best way to ensure you have a valid session is by using the NiFpga_IsNotError() function. I've attached a screenshot of the example code that illustrates how best to achieve this and inserted the image below.

3 regarding using CVI 8.1, there is nothing in particular, which would make your code does not work in point 8.1, but we can guarantee that C API 2.0 will work correctly with 9.0.

  • A few general questions about records OS, ID and keys

    Discs, ID and keys

    A few questions:

Are all the same windows installation disks?
When I say the same thing, I mean if they are the same product, i'e two disks with Vista Basic on
Is the product id part of them somehow?
What's this number on the disc? or do I have reason to think that it is created by the installation and hardware on your laptop / pc
You can use the same disc windows genuine to install the same copy of windows on two laptops, but by using laptops to separate the key product authentic?
If someone could answer these for me I would be very grateful

    Hello

manufacturer's recovery disks are specific to the make and model

You cannot use a Dell disk on an HP machine

    ____________________________________________________

BUT, if you have a DVD of Microsoft Vista, it does not matter whether a Microsoft Retail or OEM Microsoft license disk (and I don't speak of HP OEM here, but more particularly Microsoft OEM), read this:

Microsoft Vista DVD contains all versions of vista

Make sure that you borrow / use the correct 32-bit or 64-bit microsoft dvd to your computer because there are 2 Vista DVD

and this is the product key that determines which version of vista is installed

That's why they are purposes of resettlement used if you cannot acquire the recovery for a particular reason manufactrers discs
