  Run compclean.exe to remove the old backup files. But remember that this does not uninstall Vista Sp2.

  Are you sure protected mode is disabled? Firefox has a setting hidden for this moment, where you manually edit a file mms.cfg:

  (A) in a new tab, type or paste Subject: config in the address bar and press ENTER. Click on the button promising to be careful.

  (B) in the search above the list box, type or paste the flash and make a pause so that the list is filtered

  (C) double-click the preference dom.ipc.plugins.flash.disable - protected mode to change its value from false to true.

  It cannot take effect until all the Flash was discharged for a few minutes, or you close Firefox.

  If you have changed these settings, does make a difference in this YouTube Player used you? I'm not sure if the change takes effect immediately or after leaving Firefox and start it again.

  It's a message from Vista saying that my password will expire in x number of days and I have to change. I have no interest in changing my password periodically. How can I tell Vista to my preference? I have 3 other computers with Vista and they have asked me to change the password. I'd appreciate any help with this.

  I think it has todo with your local policy settings or local users and
  Groups settings.

  To check the password through the local policy settings.

  1. click on Start and in the instance type search in "Run".
  2. press on enter in the dialog box run will be appear and type
  in "gpedit.msc" and press enter.
  3. UAC ask credetials or ask you to give permission.
  Perform this fix and pass the UAC elevation prompt.
  4. open the Settings Windows in the tree and then open
  the security settings and choose the account policies and choose
        Password policy. 
  5. on the right side, you will get a list of password settings.
  6. check here in the "Maximum password age".

  To view your account from local users and
  Groups.

  1. click on Start and in the search for the instance of type 'Run'.
  2. press on enter in the dialog box run will be appear and type
  in "lusrmgr.msc" and press enter.
  3 UAC will ask credentials or to ask you to give permission.
  Perform this fix and pass the UAC elevation prompt.

  Disk Defragmenter may not work on a drive when it detects errors on the disk.  If you need check your drive for errors.  This is usually by running "chkdsk" even if a disk check can be scheduled graphically as well.  Because the disk check must be performed when nothing else is using the drive, reboot and chkdsk runs before Windows loads on this disc.  For more information:

  This isn't a problem.
  It's a design to prevent unauthorized users to perform certain tasks.
  Installation and uninstallation are some of these tasks that require administrator rights.

  If you are not an administrator, or you do not have an administrator password, you can not install or uninstall.
  Not another way around it.
