I had to install Firefox and noscript, and do a chkdsk scan. I think that somewhere in that's where I lost my sound. Someone at - it help?
Click on 'Control panel' - look for "Sound Devices" (speakers, etc.) ... It will take a lot of things, you will see two small blocks - read (Mute)... DO NOT CLICK ON MUTE. If MUTE is checked, ask your check on the other box just below to MUTE. Then go on to down through the rest of the detail and it should be "explicit" to make sure that you get your sound back... Carefully observe what he read here on and you should get your sound back... I hope this helps...

No audio output device installed - already tried the solutions here
I have a HP Pavilion dv6707us laptop with Windows Vista. My sound icon says "no audio output device is installed". When I open sounds, no device is listed, and when I go to Device Manager, there is no category of "sound, video and game controllers". Also, it does not show any audio device listed under any category even when I click on 'Show hidden devices '. I tried to install several audio drivers, but he always says something in the sense of "complete the installation because there is no media for this driver device. I think that my laptop came with Conexant HD audio, but it appears under "Programs", not in "Device Manager". I also tried to go on 'Administrative tools' Services' but Audio Windows is already activated. I can't afford to spend money right now, so if there is any way I can fix it for free, that would be great. Help!
Have you tried to download the drivers from here - http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?cc=us&lc=en&dlc=en&product=3648475

I'm trying to get her back on the "Full Tilt POKER".
The program I'm trying difficulty is "FULL Tilt Poker". For about a year the sound worked. I have no idea why. Of course, I checked all my sons (although the sound comes through everything). I finally find the sound card, and it was good. I must say that I am ignorant when it comes to issues like this. Please hold my hand and put back me on track.
on your computer go to control panel, then go to hardware and sound, then "manage audio devices". at this point, a box popped up where there are 3 tabs. on the tab 'read', there is a green check mark next to "speakers". I clicked on "speakers" to highlight, and then I clicked "Properties". another box pops up with some tabs more. Click on the "improvements" tab and put a check mark where it says "turn off all sound effects. Click OK and then click OK to apply these settings and full tilt will be sounds. MCP. MCDST. LVL 80

No Audio output device is installed and no "Sounds" not listed in Device Manager.
I turned on the computer yesterday and immediately noticed the Red "x" of white/circle on the "speaker" icon. Roll the cursor over the icon gives me the message "no Audio output device installed. I have already read through the forums and tried some of the suggestions offered without result. Here's a quick deterioration of the situation. I am running Windows Vista Edition Home Premium service pack 2 on a Dell Dimension DM061 (32 bit). No updates have been downloaded and the system was not put into hibernation. I tried restoring the system without result. The Device Manager shows not yet "Sound, video and game controllers" to watch the drivers or disable them. He has not disabled or disconnected devices to display. To the best of my knowledge the soundcard is part of the motherboard with this system, so I've no idea what driver I could find. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
Hello
I was hoping that the main issue was in the BIOS but it is also why I posted links to Dell
Support and their forums because he may be known issues with your model.Check this click - Device Manager - anywhere in the area in white/white - and then VIEW - chech to see the
Hidden - devices you can locate the audio device it?-----------------------------------------------------------------
If necessary:
Try an InPlace upgrade or repair Installation to see if your audio device can be reset.
If so it would probably be a good idea to update or re - install the latest drivers. You can use another DVD that aren't copy protected but you you need to own
Product key. It must be the same version 32 or 64 BIT Vista OEM. Also the system
machine to usually sell the cheap disk since you already own Windows. Don't forget to make a good
backup or 3 (security in redundancy).On-site upgrade

If those don't help you probably need a real computer store (leeks and pics
at a Best Buy or other department stores) or Support of Dell.---------------
Another possibility if there is a problem with the hardware with the audio device:
Car sound can be turned off in the BIOS and card USB sound a speedboat can be used
that is not expensive.Use your favorite search engine search - sound card USB or USB its adapter.
I hope this helps.

Try to use the system restore. There should be a restore before your daughter point done uninstalling.
Choose the point just before the uninstall was made.
This should restore your PC back as it was.
