Get inluded games to work in Vista Business.

I use Vista Business and I try to get the games to work which are included. On the Microsoft answers site, I found the following instructions;   "The games are included in Business, but they are not installed by default.

"Go to control panel, programs, programs and features, and then click on" Turn Windows features on or off "and put a check mark in the box of games." I followed the instructions and when I got to the window where I had to check something, there was a field of empy with no radio button or whatever it be listed.

You can have a more serious problem.  Maybe a file corrupted somehow.  I suggest you contact Microsoft technical support.  They have tools that can help diagnose the problem with your system as well as making recommendations to the software that may require updates, etc..

I can get the games loaded on the computer, but when I go to play it the screen comes up for a second then it turns off.  'Notification of optimal resolution' see a screen I clicked and who and disabled, it did not work so I allow it and it still does not work.  Both games are the treasures lost Alexandria and Big Kahuna Reef.

Notification of optimal resolution generally tells you that you need to change your resolution to something else to play the game.  For example, if the game is designed for 1076 x 768 resolution, and your use of your computer in 800 x 600, the game may not work.  In general, he says that you must be in the resolution, and then you can adjust your resolution to suit.

You can change your resolution by clicking on START-> control PANEL-> PERSONALIZATION

    Then click on display settings

You will then see a slider, which will allow you to increase or decrease your resolution.  When you find the optimum resolution that is requested by the game, select it, and then try to restart your game.

  • SONY Memory Stick PRO-HG Duo MS-HX16A doesn't work in Vista Business 32-bit

When I insert my memory stick Duo PRO-HG in my laptop gateway E - 155 running Vista 32-bit Professional (Service Pack 2), and I check the Device Manager, a device called "MemoryDisk0" appears under the "Disk drives" section of Device Manager.  It runs by default windows drivers disk.sys and partmg.sys.  The disk memory is not recognized by Windows (it does appear as a hard drive under 'Computer'), or he 'fills' when this button is pressed under "Volume" in the Panel properties for MemoryDisk0 (I get an error msg).  ALSO: if I hit "Scan for hardware changes" or even "Uninstall" for this device, the system just loops - nothing happens, and I have to use Windows Task Manager to end the task.  ALSO: if I try to restart my computer, Windows will not come - I need to remove the Memory stick or return o a previous installation of good.

How can I get Windows Vista Business 32-bit to recognize the drive correctly?  I visited the site of SONY, and the only driver I can find for sticks of memory is the MSAC-EX1.  I did try and 'forcing' Device Manager Vista to load this driver for MemoryStick0, but Windows says that it is not a compatible driver.

    Hello

    1. When you mention "I get a msg of error", what is you get the exact error message?

In Device Manager , right-click on the "MemoryDisk0" and select Properties, and check what error code you get and post back with the details.

    2. have you tried to connect a different Memory Stick?

If other USB keys connect very well, then I think your SONY Memory Stick PRO-HG Duo MS-HX16A could be faulty and you may have to contact Sony for better help.

Afterwards, do a right-click on the device (MemoryDisk0) in Device Manager and try to update and check if that helps.

  • Wireless not working with Vista Business/company, but will be with 7?

I have a HP Pavilion Dv6700 laptop and my product number is FE654UA #ABA

I got the computer and it had Vista, but my school has offered free Windows 7 OS so I downloaded and installed Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit on the laptop. However, after discovering that I have to update all my drivers and find the latest versions are only for Vista, I chose to go back to Vista so I downloaded the Windows Vista Business 32-bit with Service Pack 2 my school offered the aftering having no success with the company. I formatted my HDD and installed Vista Business.

Now, the problem is that after I installed Windows Vista Business my wireless switch turn blue even in position one. With this, I can't find any of my home wireless network signal and are the only options allotted to me for internet via dial-up or broadband. Wireless Assistant is 'Disabled' and unable to be activated.

I also noticed that there is no network adapters in the Device Manager list.

While running Vista business I went to the HP site and downloaded all the drivers of network I could and put them on a disc, so I could their spear on the laptop, but this did nothing no more.

Despite this dilemma with Vista, everything works, how it should after reinstallation of Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit, but I'm unable to update my drivers in this State.

    Hello:

Now that you can connect to the internet, run the Windows Update program and let it download and install Windows 7 drivers that it finds.

For everything else, you need to use the Vista drivers.

Your laptop is not supported by HP for Windows 7, this is why there is no W7 drivers on the support page.

I have a dv6810us with W7 Home Premium 64-bit.  It works fine using the combination of Vista and W7 drivers.

Make sure you just as if you have not updated your BIOS to version Windows Vista, you DO NOT Flash the BIOS, now that you have installed Windows 7, or you will be clean your laptop, with no way out.

  • Satellite L350 - cannot get the keyboard to work with Vista Home Premium

I just reinstalled Vista Home Premium 32 bit but can not get the keyboard works. I tried to connect an external keyboard with the same results. I checked the disk manager that says that the driver is working OK I wonder if it could be a problem of system or a hardware problem.

    Any help would be welcome

    Jim

    Try the external USB keyboard.
If it works correctly, then the internal keyboard works bad and must be replaced.

  • My games Xp works on Vista?

I'm an adult old & play on a site that is the largest area FPS TOURNAMENT for BF2... no one does use Vista because of all the probs and we have 1000 members from all over the world. We play at battles of 12 hours each weekend from noon until midnight. Why is
This best for my "security"? to use Vista. ? + 13 000 people went to EA for help & it does ' t work. 3000 tried the 'fix '.
We have MS employees who play with us & they use XP Pro.
This public net game still thousands a day, what always happens with a new OS - at least since I have here since
    Win3.1... isn't life a beeyatch.

I used Windows Vista since Beta 2 full time, and I do a little play.  Most 'probs' are with 3rd party software and can be bypassed.

Out of my PC games collection, dating back to the middle of the 1990s.  I have not met one that can be designed to work with Windows Vista, of course, some require compatibility mode, and some require administrative rights.

The same thing has been said when Windows XP came out - which was much worse than Windows Vista on the launch for the players.  3dfx has only a few months before went bankrupt and so many players have been left without video drivers, GeForce 3 had just been released, but the pilots have not stabilize for a good year after their release.  The system requirements for Windows XP was also a considerable jump upward from Windows 98 (which most of the players used at the time), the minimum of RAM for Windows XP was 4 times greater than an operating system that had been released a few years earlier.

First of all, try to enable Active Scripting in the areas of Sites Internet Options, security settings, trust.

You should also add a corrupted on.

    Click Start, type: Internet Options

    Press enter

    Select the "Advanced" tab

Under reset Internet Explorer settings, click "reset".

This should restore the Internet Explorer default settings.

  • Get "access is denied." on Vista business after either connect an Apple iPod, an external hard drive or USB through USB (2.0) ports.

    • an Apple iPod
    • a disc of external data storage
    • a USB

When I connect one of ^ these ports USB in front of my computer the drive letter appears in Windows Explorer, so they are detected, but when I try to access it I always get a message like "H: is not accessible.  Access is denied. »

I had the chance to find http://support.microsoft.com/kb/925196.  But it is a response to a very similar, I think that problem on Windows XP.

And I think that it is better to ask this question rather than follow the instructions for an earlier version of the operating system, yall.  I just want to be able to use / access each of them again and again and again and... could you help me?

    Hi Matthew,

    1. don't you get the same message when you connect to other ports (behind the CPU)?

    2. you remember of any changes to your machine before the question?

    3. is your computer connected to a network?

    4. have you logged into your account administrator ?
In the meantime, follow these steps.
    Step 1:
You can follow the manual procedure, http://support.microsoft.com/kb/925196 .
The registry tweak, that applies to Windows XP also applies to Windows 7 If you do it manually.

    b. click on the computer
    c. right-click on the device and select "Properties".
    d. click Security
    e. Select Advanced - owner - edit - then change the owner to yourself and check.
