1. try relative to wireless networking and make sure that you set the level of security to WPA2-Personal, as it is recommended. Follow the steps listed in the link below and check if that helps:http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/Setting-up-a-wireless-network

2 disable the software firewall and windows AntiVirus installed on your computer and then try to connect to the wireless network. Make sure that you turn on once connected to the network.

3. you can also try the steps listed in the link below:http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-vista/Troubleshoot-network-connection-problems (for Windows 7)

4. run the built-in network troubleshooting utility, follow the steps listed in the below link for the same thing: using the utility in Windows 7 Network Troubleshooter:http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Using-the-Network-troubleshooter-in-Windows-7

I've had this laptop for 3 years with no problems. One day last week when I tried to connect to my network home as usual, I get a message saying: more information needed, and he asks user name and PW domain name. All other wireless devices work as usual, only my Vista laptop. I never set it to connect to a domain. If I try to manually remove and reconnect to the network I get the same error. How can I remove this domain setting so I can connect to my home network as usual?

original title: Hello, how can I get my icon of network connectivity added to the notification (to the left of the date) area?   Thank you, NT

The icon disappeared after stopping at the wall accidentally. When I right click on the taskbar, go into the properties box and notification, network system icon is grayed out.

Remove icons from the notification area (system tray)

  • Wireless network is disabled by the hp connection manager after hibernation, sleep etc.

Wireless network is disabled by the hp connection manager after hibernation, sleep and sometimes when I use the computer. I can't see preferences in HP Connection Manager to fix this, or Windows power management.

What is the solution to keep the network wireless activated ALL THE TIME?

Edition of the HP Connection Manager does not work, so I can't activate wireless again!

    My computer:
    HP ProBook 4530 s (new)

Windows 7 Pro (included with the computer)

No other power or utilities wireless isn't installed, just the HP utilities installed at the factory.

In the hope of a quick solution.

    Thanks in advance.

    -Mikael Noerrelund, Denmark

There is a setting in Connection Manager > Preferences > power to the device , which CAN be assigned to turn off the wireless / Bluetooth when you have left the connection manager.  You must Select / SET parameter.  You can see, just in case...  I never heard talk of the Connection Manager turn off wireless, unless it was to make it to the exit.

You can do the following in the Device Manager to leave the power to the wireless and Bluetooth devices:

Control Panel > display icon > Device Manager > network adapters >

Right click on the WiFi link (Intel) (wording may vary) >

    in Properties > Powermanagement >

Clear the check BOX "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power".

    Ok

    Do the same for Bluetooth...

    I hope this helps...

  • Windows network security authentication no field to enter the user name or password

We experience this problem trying to authenticate to connect to a wireless connection. When we try to go around in the network properties to enter the credentials, we get the same thing.

This is a new image and is up-to-date, the problem happens in some devices and the others with the same fine image work.

any ideas of why does this happen and how to fix it?

    Hello

Thanks for posting in the Microsoft Community.

You did changes to the computer before the show?

This problem may occur if the wireless network that has been implemented in all first was not set up correctly, I suggest you to remove the existing network and add a new home network, and then verify.

    Refer to the steps below:

Step 1: Remove the existing wireless network
    1. Open network and sharing Center
    2. Select manage wireless networks on the left.
    3. Highlight the network, right click and select delete network.
    4. You can also use Merge or delete as required to remove unwanted networks.

Step 2: Reconfigure the wireless network

    1. Log in the computer.
    2. Open connect to a network by clicking on the network (or) in the notification area icon.
    3. Choose the network wireless from the list that appears and then click on connect.
    4. Type the network security key or password if you are prompted to do so, and then click OK.
You will see a confirmation message when you are connected to the network.
    5. To confirm that you have added to the computer, follow these steps:

Open the network by clicking the Start button, then Control Panel. In the search box, type network, and then, under center network and sharing, click on view network computers and devices.

You should see icons the computer you added and for the other computers and devices that are part of the network.

For reference: Add a device or computer to a network

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/add-device-computer-to-network#1TC=Windows-7

I also suggest that you ask your service provider to check the limit of the computer that can connect to the network.

I hope this helps. Please let us know the results. Feel free to write us again for any help.

  • "The specified network folder is currently mapped using a different user name and password", trying to connect to a remote drive.

Original title: the specified network folder is currently mapped using a different user name and password.__To to connect using a different user name and password, first disconnect any existing mappings to this network share.

I am trying to connect to a remote drive. I clicked to map the drive, entered the name of the drive, came the name of login/password for the computer turns on and then it give me this error message: the specified network folder is currently mapped using a different user name and password. To connect using a different user name and password, first disconnect any existing mappings to this network share.

In Windows 7 Enterprise, I would like to point out that, if you map \\server1\share1 as drive letter X using "user1" and "password1", then try to map \\server1\share2 (a different share) as drive letter Y using the same ID "User1" and "password1" and you select 'connect using different credentials' in the dialog box connect a network drive and specify the id "User1" and "password1". you will get this error MESSAGE INCORRECT that says 'the specified network folder is currently mapped using a different user name and password'.

    The message is bad because:

    1. the specified network (action2 in my example) folder is not mapped at all, and

    2. the server (in my example, "server1") is already mapped (to a different and different drive letter share) using the SAME user name and password.

The error message is wrong in two respects.

This let me puzzled for a while until I realized that once you have mapped to 'Server1' using the credentials, you can map to different actions on the same server without re - specify the credentials.  It is NOT CLEARLY the 'Map network drives' dialog box, which leads to users (like me, and I'm a programmer by trade) trying to enter credentials again and this incorrect error message.

  • How can I get automatic fill-in of the user name and password?

It is similar but different from my previous question. On a computer when I open Firefox it opens automatically log me in my homepage (a Yahoo mail account). When I open a new tab in my gmail login happens with my already filled username. All I have to do is click NEXT and it goes to the login with my password information page. I can't get firefox my my other computer to do this. My homepage comes up with my informed user name, but I have to manually go through the login process. When I open gmail in a new tab, I can't do anything except: 1. press ENTER and get an error message, and then click in the user name box, or 2. Re - click the gmail to re - open the tab. Once I did this the page comes with connection two names - the strange correct one and a few. (I've not been able to get rid of the weird name, either). I would like to be able to fix things, so Firefox will do the same thing on this computer as it does on the other.

    Someone at - it suggestions?

You can use these steps to make a Web site recognize and remember you:

    • Create a cookie 'allow' except to keep these cookies, in particular in the case of secure websites and when the cookies expire when Firefox is closed.
    • Tools > Options > privacy > "Use the custom settings for history" > Cookies: Exceptions

You can delete cookies for a Web site to make the site forget about you.

    Hello

    ·         Were there any changes to the computer, lately?

    Method 1:

    (a) start the Windows Messaging mail client.

    (b) click on 'Tools' from the main menu and choose "accounts".

    (c) a pop up will appear showing you all the email accounts in Windows Mail. Select the one that gives you the error and then click on the button 'Properties'.

    (d) another window pop up displays all parameters associated with this account.

    (e) under the "servers" tab check the 'e-mail username' and 'password'. One of them would certainly incorrect which translates the ID of Windows Mail error 0x800CCC92

    (f) to avoid having to enter the user name and password each time, check the box in front of "Remember password".

    (g) once you make the appropriate changes, click on the button 'apply' then 'OK'. Close the other pop-up window

I got this message when trying to access a laptop on my home network. It's a laptop which came for years. The only change that occurred was the removal of a few videos to Windows Media Player. In fact, I was sitting near the laptop (laptop 1) that stores the video & audio files that I share on my network for years and an additional (cell 2) laptop computer on my network. I was simply remove a playlist via WMP and I witnessed portable 2 lose access to files I had shared for years with my home network. I don't even use WMP, I had just open trying to access the laptop 1 video/audio files to my PS3 system. I was clear an old list of video of WMP so I could add the extra avi files to the list that I had collected over the years. I wanted to not double many videos so I removed the videos in WMP list. Since then, I'm not able to share anything of my laptop 1 to the rest of my network. I did not like WMP before, now I really despise WMP. When I try to share a folder, right click, share with & click on homegroup (read/write), the option is not selected. Any solution would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

  • [MAF] How to get the user name and password after login?

    Hi Experts,

I have a call to REST where it requires identification information of the user (uname and password) to identify the data that belongs to who.

Authentication has been made with OAuth.

I believe that there is an API to get the user name and password in the CRG

    See you soon,.

    Hendry

    Hello.

You don't need to manipulate the credentials yourself in code. MAF will propagate the logon cookie or inject the identification information in the HTTP header if cookies are not supported.

To do this, you must select the purchase option of cookie from the server connection Include in REST in the dialog box create a connection Login MAF , such as discussed here:

    http://docs.Oracle.com/middleware/maf210/mobile/develop/MAF-securing.htm#ADFMF23732

In addition, you must attach the policy of security appropriate to the connection, as explained here:
