Get the popup asking to update Flash Player. What is a malware pop up?
Hello, I receive a suspect pop-up, pop up advising me to update my flash player. Is my flash player: Adobe and the suspect pop up flash opinion has no mention of Adobe, or any other indication of its origin. I ignored, because surely Adobe, would have his name on any pop up? Thank you, J A.

Yes. Adobe could suck that much.
Uninstall Adobe Flash Player (all that you see) the Control Panel--> Add / Remove programs.
Reset.
Download and install the latest version of Adobe Flash Player. (Link here...)
Reset.
If the message goes - you are golden.
If you think you're still infected/infested...

On the opening of google, I get the message: "ATTENTION!" Your Flash Player can be updated. Please update to continue"- by clicking on ok I am confused to download Flash Player Pro site? What is an Adobe product? And why, even if I have the latest version of flash player I received several times the message?
This isn't a message that provides Adobe, and I recommend that you do not click the link. It seems you may have malware on your computer.

Can't open the download to install/update Flash Player.
I am running Win 7 HP SP1 v 6.1.7601, Internet Explorer v 11.0.9600.18015, DX 11, OpenGL v 6.1.7600.16385 and Java v 1.8.0_60. Adobe Flash Object v 18.0.0.232 shows that installed and enabled in Internet Explorer tools/manage modules additional but is not detected in https://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ when I check the updates. To help Support/Flash Player/Installation problems/Flash Player / Windows in step 1, when I "Check now" Flash Player is not detected, but I am using the Flash Player Settings Manager to check updates. I tried several times to update Flash Player v 19.0.0.185 to https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ (opting out Google Chrome & Google toolbar), but when I click on the button "Install now", I'm headed to X https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/download/?installer=FP_19_for_Internet_Explorer_-_Active & os = Windows 7 & browser_type = MSIE & browser_dist = OEM & dualoffer = true & chromedefault = false & d = 7.5 Google_Toolbar_ & d = Google_Chrome_44.0_IE_Browser where He said during initialization""for several seconds but the download never initiated. The links "Need help" and "Click here" If you are having problems downloading Adobe Flash Player are unnecessary because everything they do is activate an overlay describing what to do once that the download starts. I also tried to use the link on the Shockwave site.
I tried everything I can think of. Help, please.

Hello
Thanks for the update. I am happy that you were able to get installed it. Always curious to know why the EXE file does not download. Have you checked your security settings, or maybe anti-anti-virus/firewall settings?

I tried and tried to get the latest version of Adobe Flash Player on Firefox, but it won't take. Tried through update on the plugin page, tried through the Adobe Web site and still no luck. I listed 18.0.0.232 version on my desktop, but it does not appear on Firefox. Anyone has an idea why not?
You can download the 18.0.0.232 version here.
https://www.Adobe.com/products/flashplayer/distribution3.htmlDesinstaller.209 and then installer.232.
BTW, Firefox needs a different version of Flash that IE uses and different from the one that use Chrome.

Why can't update Flash player give me a good file download to be able to update?
The file that I get when I click on update Flash Player in Firefox addons is: flashplayer_18_gd_install.exe, which will display an unknown Publisher, and when I click on it to install, fails with an error of initialization. See the attached screenshots.
OS: Windows XP (Pro)
Firefox browser
Outdated Flash Player 17.0.0.169 (updated)
New file to download: lashplayer_18_gd_install.exe,.Addtl Note: I noticed, I can't perform certain tasks such as search, defrag, or 'Manage' due to missing files, but Malwarebytes and AVAST do not detect intrusions at all.

Hi, you could try if installers https://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/distribution3.html adobe offline work instead.
Did not work. Error: the file is not a valid Win32 application.
UPDATE: I went back to this file to download some time later, clicked on it, and installed without error. I must have initially tried to install before the download was complete.

How can I get Firefox 4 to recognize that I have the latest version of Adobe Flash Player
Firefox 4 refuses to play video clips. I get a box telling me that I have the latest version of Adobe Flash Player. I just downloaded 10.3 and is yet to play video clips.
You do not have Flash installed for Firefox. If you did you would see "Shockwave Flash (version number)" under modules > Plugins. You can see the Plugins reported with your question; Click on 'more system info... '. "to the right of your original question.
There are 2 versions of Flash, a single IE (ActiveX version) and for most other browsers like Firefox (plug-in version). You must update each individually.
To install or update Flash:
- using Firefox download and save Flash from this link (save to your desktop; easier for you to find): get.adobe.com/flashplayer
- When the download is complete, close Firefox (click Firefox > exit OR file > exit, if you use the Menu bar)
- Click or double-click the file that you just downloaded
- on the left side of the installation window, place a check in the box "I have read and agree."
- Click the Install button at the bottom right of the installation window. It comes on after you put the check mark in the previous step
- Let the complete installation; It's fast
- using Firefox to test your installation of Flash here: http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/
- for IE, repeat the process, but use IE to go to the site in step 1.
If this answer solved your problem, please click 'Solved It' next to this response when connected to the forum.
Not related to your question, but...
You must update some plug-ins:
- Plugin check: https://www-trunk.stage.mozilla.com/en-US/plugincheck/
- Next-generation Java plug-in for the Mozilla browser: install or update Java in Firefox

Yahoo! GameChannel popup says "Upgrade to the latest version of Adobe Flash Player"
1. Windows 7 Service Pack 1
2 IE 11, version 11.0.9600.18097, updated to version 11.0.25
3 flash Player version 19.0.0.245
4. whenever I click on the link to popup GameChannel during a professional sports event in the pages of Yahoo! Sports, the pop-up window displays a black screen with this message: Please upgrade to the latest version of Adobe Flash Player to view this content. The problem is, that I already have the most recent version; and if I click on the link to Adobe Flash Player, it tries to install Flash Player with an installation package that I don't even have on my computer.
5. link to a web page that illustrates the problem: Yahoo Sports-Sports News, Scores, rumors, Fantasy games and more (NOTE: in order to reproduce the problem, I have to click a live sport event - say, NFL, College Football game, etc - and then click on the link above the "dashboard direct" GameChannel.) The pop-up window will be displayed with the message "update".)

Thank you in advance.
First of all, check that the ActiveX filtering is configured to allow Flash content:
https://forums.Adobe.com/thread/867968
Internet Explorer 11 introduced a number of changes both in the way the browser is identified with remote web servers, and how it treats JavaScript for behavior targets specific to Internet Explorer. Unfortunately, this means that content on some sites will be broken until the provider of content changes their site to conform to the new approach to development required by the modern versions of IE.
You can try to work around these problems by using the compatibility view:
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Internet-Explorer/use-compatibility-view#IE=ie-11
If it's too inconvenient, using Google Chrome may be a better alternative.

For some reason, I was instructed to update Flash player. I tried but the password was not accepted.
Reset the password to spawn a return to download Flash player

WHAT should I do now?
Hi mrse69610920,
It is the OS, not Flash Player to ask for the password. Please read the FAQ what userid & password I need to install Flash Player?

I have used Acrobat Pro DC to embed a video clip in a video and, when prompted, updated my copy of Flash Player to 17.0. Now, even if the Adobe site confirms that Flash Player 17.0 is installed and enabled on my system, the video still does not play when I click on the Start button. Instead, I keep getting the prompt direct me to install the necessary revision of the Flash Player. Can any clarify what is happening here and I need to do to remedy this? I'm working on a system with Windows 7.
You must install the NPAPI Flash Player (for Firefox, etc) not the plugin for Internet Explorer ActiveX plugin. Acrobat cannot use the ActiveX version.

I forgot that automatic updates are included when you update Flash Player. Update was fine, just do not see where to click to get automatic updates. Please let know us if I need to do anything or not. Thank you.
If you use Windows:
You must be connected starting from an administrator account and not a Standard account.
Click START, and then click on control PANEL, while the display is set to large icons not category.
Click the Flash Player icon. The control panel of the Flash drive should appear.
Click the updates tab. Now, you can check or select automatic update.

I tried to update flash player and when I put my password, it is rejected. I changed my e-mail and password and notice to adobe, but I am still unable to install the flash player update. How can I update adobe flash?
This password is presented by your operating system and is designed to prevent you from accidentally installing the software.
If it comes to your personal computer and you don't need a password to connect to the computer when it first starts, you can probably leave the password blank and click OK to go to this prompt. If it comes to your personal computer and your normal password does not work, make sure that CAPS LOCK SHIFT is off, and then type the password carefully.
If this is your work machine and he asks an administrator password, well, you will need to have a conversation with your computer friendly.

Title says it all. I'm always up to date Flash Player whenever I get one of these dialog boxes 'Flash Player update now' when a new version comes out I say to myself that I would always have the latest version as I'm developing software with it. However, while all other updates have never caused this problem today immediately after the update, I get this error when you try to launch my application through the IDE Flash Builder 4.6 with the debugger:
When I select 'Yes' nothing is displayed in the console, and then I thought it was fruitless via another dialog box:
The copy of debugging always built and lance in my browser, but I just can't use my debugger more. I tried to call Support technique Adobe on this matter on the phone, but after collecting all my information (including verification of that series was a play that I bought in fact), I was told that they couldn't help me unless I paid them more money - which is a little ridiculous since there was an update to adobe who broke it.
Basically, I'm curious if a) this is a known issue or not yet, and b) what I can do to make any return to work correctly short of reinstalling FB 4.6 (that is to say, can I downgrade Flash Player to that preceding the most recent update?).
Thank you!
EDIT: I uninstalled flash player and was then a fresh re-install the latest version - still get the same errors.
EDIT 2: removed the Flash Player again and this time installed the last version Release, 11.3.300.257 - I still get the same error. Maybe something broke up with Flash Builder. I have yet to get all the answers, I'm just going to go ahead and reinstall Flash Builder. Report back if that fixes it or not...
EDIT 3: Okay, so I uninstalled Flash Player and Flash Builder completely. I installed the latest version of Flash Player once again (11.3.300.262), then the latest version of Flash Builder 4.6. Always make the SAME MISTAKE. I'll go home for now and come back in the morning. Please, any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated, as I can't get any job without the debugger.
This is a known bug in Flash Builder 4.5 and 4.6.
It will be fixed in the next version of Flash Builder.
The workaround for Flash Builder 4.5 and 4.6 is to download the two 32-bit & 64-bit debug player.
