Get the position of the upper left corner?

Hey guys,.

by geometricBounds [1] and geometricBounds [0], I can get the starting positions of my objects.

In my case I need the position of the upper left corner. When you rotate an object, the geometricBounds always reflect a bounding box so that I can not get the desired coordinates.

How can I get the properties of the "points of departure" (the upper left corner of my object)?

Thank you very much!

You have entered the field coordination complex spaces here.

In short, you can use resolve() to find the anchor points on one

object. But you have to decide in what coordinate space to get the

results.

Your best bet is probably to use spread coordinates. The point 0,0

who is in the middle of spread.

So, given a pageItem i, try:

i.Resolve (AnchorPoint.TOP_LEFT_ANCHOR, CoordinateSpaces.SPREAD_COORDINATES);

If you want to deepen this topic, Marc Autret has a good guide PDF

on that.

  • Get the upper left corner of a cell in the grid (math problem)

    I'm doing a map editor for a tile based game. The Publisher made a grid:

    private function drawGrid (): void {}
    var grid: Sprite = new Sprite();

    var tileSize:uint = 50;

    for (var i: int = 0; i < line; i ++)
    {
    grid.graphics.lineStyle (1, 0 x 000000, 0.3);
    grid.graphics.moveTo (0, i * tileSize);
    grid.graphics.lineTo (700, i * tileSize);
    }
    for (var j: int = 0; j < column; j ++)
    {
    grid.graphics.lineStyle (1, 0 x 000000, 0.3);
    grid.graphics.moveTo (j * tileSize, 0);
    grid.graphics.lineTo (j * tileSize, 400);
    }
    stage.addChild (grid);
    }

    And when the user clicks anywhere on the screen a movieclip is added to the stage. The movieclip (exported for actionscript as the tile) should appear in the upper left of the grid cell.

    private void placeTile(mouseX:int,_mouseY:int,_frame:uint):void {}
    var: tile = new Tile();
    tile.gotoAndStop (frame);
    Tile.x = PROBLEM HERE
    Tile.y = PROBLEM HERE
    stage.addChild (tile);
    }

    How can I do? I came with an idea, but it did not work because I have a math problem.  Assume that the user's mouse is in the mouseX = 456:

    I could remove hundreds and use the 56 quotient and check if it is greater than 50. If it is greater than 50, I would put it at x = 500, if not I would put it at x = 450. How can I remove hundreds? You have a better idea?

    Post edited by: wilsonsilva7, because subconsciously, I pressed ctrl + s (for save) and the message has been posted

    You must use the mod (%) operator to remove hundreds serving: 456% 100 = 56, but that does not seem the best way.

    If your tiles are 50 x 50, I think that just using Math.floor(mouseX / 50) * 50 is your best bet:

    Math.Floor(456 / 50) = 9

    9 * 50 = 450 = the left edge of the tile that you clicked on in.

    There is a little tab on the upper left corner of my browser window that says Firefox. I used to be able to hit that and have quick access to history, print etc. rather than working from the menu on the left three lines. How can I get that back?
    Thank you

    It has been replaced by the 3 lines on the side button. You can either use that (it's actually faster to access your frequently used objects) or customize Firefox How to make the new look of Firefox as the old Firefox

    Hello, apparently this option has been removed intentionally in preparation for a redesign of the browser which will land in firefox later this year. You can use the following extensions to work around this issue if: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/hide-tab-bar-with-one-tab/

    Most likely, you are showing the menu bar. Right-click on the toolbar area and uncheck the Menu bar - the Firefox button should appear. You can switch from one to the other.

  • TX2-1020us digitizer cursor gets stuck 1cmx1cm of the upper left corner

    I have a tx2-1020us

    Sometimes, the stylus cursor takes over and gets stuck about 1cmx1cm from the upper left corner of the screen if the screen is 90 degrees or to move away it from the keyboard when you use it as a laptop. If less than 90 degrees, when this happens, it's somewhat usable but the slider still jumps at the skylight at random.

    I've known as a locking of the keyboard once but removing the power and the battery it is resolved.

    To troubleshoot, I ran the HP and N-trig utilities and they found no problem so even the question that happens. I downloaded the latest drivers from this site and install, I searched on Google and Asus seems to have a similar problem but I don't know if this applies. Sometimes, when I reboot it goes far, other times it is not. Deactivation of the first N-Trig driver stop the question but then of course, do not work the key features.

    I installed the software (for most, MS Office, Corel PSP and NeatWorks) and installed a scanner NeatWorks and GPS MS on it since I bought it last Friday (not connected when it is the case).

    Has anyone else seen this, they are of a resolution, I would stay before 15 days runs out?

    Problem solved!

    Turns, I have a desk lamp fluorescent light about 15 cm from the laptop.

    When the lamp is on and the laptop is plugged in, it does the cursor thing erased. Unplug the laptop or move the lamp 25cm and everything works perfectly. Go figure.

  • Need help! Does not start. Only get '_' in the upper left corner.

    Hi, have the following computer:

    HP-Pavilion model: KZ849AV-ABA s3500Z

    Running: win 8.1 (32B) 2G ram

    Have not had any problems I know, so far.

    Run norton regularly, no problem.

    Stop the machine to get out.  Returned, tuned back on and now will not start.

    It lights up, passes in front of the screen for "F9" "F11", etc.

    Then crashes on startup with a single "_" in the upper left corner.

    No beeps or error messages.

    Have you tried several attempts to diff power off, unplug, etc..  Same results.

    Have tried to interrupt the boot to make "diags", see the boot menu.  Everything seems fine, from what I can tell.

    Don't know what else to do.

    As mentioned, saw no problem before that to my knowledge.

    It helps the tight connections and no keyboard activity.

    Possible victory 8.1 automatic update when the last stop arrived.

    Recovery disks, I did several months ago when I upgraded to OS to win 8.1

    But I don't want to go down that path and reload everything.

    Any ideas how to check the boot sectors, chkdsk, etc.. ???

    Thanks in advance,

    Hi guys, thanks for all your comments.

    I managed to understand.

    I used the 'flash' player who made victory - 8.1 you create during the installation of win - 8.1 fresh.

    It's like a recovery disk.

    I started off of him and was able to use Diagnostics out of it to check the hard drive.

    He said it was to fix hard drive errors, then restarted.  Got the same new cursor. Then run this process again.

    Got mesg diff on the correction of hard disk errors, please wait.

    It restarted again and is came fine.

    Several reboots confirm the problem disappeared.

    I think that probably the hard drive boot sector becomes corrupted.

    I'll keep and eye to it and document, we had this problem with the machine.

    Will chose to replace the hard drive or buy a new machine.  Which ever option the woman wants to take (his machine).

    Thanks for your comments.

    PS You forgot to mention that I disassembled the machine and cleaned carefully.  Back together and restart with the same problem.  Then I did the above stuff.

  • The Position of the upper left corner of any shape layer

    Hi guys,.

    So for the last two days, I worked on a script that would allow me to centre X number of layers in the middle of the container model, as if the selected layers were just one layer. So my approach to achieve this goal is first to know the positions of the four corners of each layer. My code so far works perfectly with AVLayers and TextLayers, but it does not always with ShapeLayers. Here's the formula I use to calculate the position of the upper left corner of the shape layers:

    x = position [x] - [x] anchorPoint - (layerWidth / 2)

    y = position [y] - [y] anchorPoint - (layerHeight / 2)

    So the formula assumes that the anchor point is in the middle of the shape layer if the anchor point is [0, 0], and which seems incorrect.

    Untitled2.png

    And it's Layer Properties.

    Untitled.png

    So the question is, what is the way to calculate the position of the upper left corner of ANY shape layer?

    Thank you very much!

    It should work as long the layer was not filmed:

    var C = app.project.activeItem;

    var L is C.layer ("shape Layer 1");.

    var r = L.sourceRectAtTime (C.time, false);

    var s = L.property("Scale").value;

    var p = L.property("Position").value;

    var a = L.property("Anchor_Point").value;

    var ul = [p [0] + (r.left - a [0]) * s [0] / 100, p [1] + (r.top - a [1]) * s [1] / 100];

    It's a white box in the upper left corner on my main screen (Center).
