get up-to-date mail normally

I seem to have a recurring problem I would be really happy to solve.

the computer is 2015 11 "mac air.

the problem is that when I open the mail I sometimes get a screen that shows the mail came yesterday (for example) and by post which of course came to does not appear on the laptop. I then go to my phone to get my most recent mail and this makes problematic life in terms of doing work.

If I go to the doctor of connection, it shows all this work.

Sometimes I'll go to different places in the side pane and the windows stays static and nothing changes. Sometimes I get the beachball with mail gel. sometimes nothing happens and I can move, but the mail IS NOT updated.

usually I force quit mail and /sometimes/ I can get mail update to display the most recent messages.

can someone help me with advice on what to do with a problem like that?

would it not make sense to test this on a different wifi network to see if it's my home network which is to have the issue? could add an another station wifi in the room I help with this?

Try to rebuild the mailbox.

Rebuild the mailbox

If this does not work, try re-indexing of mailboxes mailbox. This can take some time if you have a lot of mail.

Reindex messages        For El Capitan, try looking in V3.

It would be useful to test on another network. I doubt adding that will help another station of Wi - Fi.
