  Here's what worked for me:

  1. Log in with an administrator account
  2. Stop the following services via computer management > Services and Applications > Services:
     -Application of the experience
     -Background Intelligent Transfer service
     -Windows Store Service (WSService)
     -Windows Update
  3. Once these services are stopped, open Windows Explorer
  4. Go to: C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution
  5. Delete the contents of this folder
  6. Restart the following services via computer management > Services and Applications > Services:
     -Application of the experience
     -Background Intelligent Transfer service
     -Windows Store Service (WSService)
     -Windows Update

     -OR-

     Restart your machine

  7. Go to the Windows store and everything should work. Also run Windows Update because it will need to rebuild its "Checklist" of patches.

  Assuming that you are talking about disk space from in the guest OS. You are probably using an MBR partition table, which limits the maximum usable disk space to ~ 2 TB. In order to use the entire disk space, you need a GPT partition table.
