Google chrome runs multiple threads in taskbar when chrome is not yet installed
I use a Dell Inspiron 620 with processor I5-2320, 64-bit windows 7 Home premium. In the taskbar, Image name rmsfwylmn.exe * 32 with a google chrome description and it is causing the CPU run high. I do have google chrome installed on this machine. There is also a registry entry for google chrome. I tried to install and uninstall, then chrome, but the problem is still there. How can I remove this and stop running. If I delete the registry entry, this stop will be chrome to run. Are there other applications that use chrome in the background.
I would like to start by finding a number of things:
- rmsfwylmn.exe folder reside in?
- When this folder was created?

Welcome to the HP support community! I saw your post about the problem with Google Chrome works not once you've done an update. You have problems if you use a different browser? I would recommend that you uninstall Chrome and reinstall.
Get this message from Google Chrome which signals that Google Chrome will not update with Windows Vista more.
Should I do something?
I searched through the updates of Windows to see if we have missed something, but nothing helped. I saw a post about the pre installed "youcam"... we should be arrived at?
Do not uninstall Google Chrome still... You can install Firefox, front - and then import your Google Chrome Favorites, before you uninstall.
Updates to Google Chrome does not come through Windows Update, but when you click on the "Hamburgermenu" in Google Chrome. (3 lines under the Red close button)
Click on Google Chrome
This will start the update...

OT: Google Chrome do not open - Windows 8
I was not able to open Google Chrome for a few days. I tried to uninstall the program, so I could always install thinking that would solve the question, but I'm not able to uninstall. Finally, I realized that I was not able to open Chrome since the last round of updates to Microsoft Windows on May 23, 2015. So, I tried to uninstall all 6 updates (not knowing who has the problem), but have only managed to uninstall 2 of them - KB3035583 and KB3046480. I am now able to open Chrome... yay!
I now want to know is
(1) what are the 2 updates above?
(2) are 'important '?
(3) do I reinstall and do not have Chrome work?
(4) how do I update/uninstall and reinstall Chrome?
Thank you very much.

google chrome, which is already installed is not responding. How can I set googl chrome web browser instead of internate - explore?
Set default - either in Chrome in its options or as follows ( http://freewindowsvistatutorials.com/setGoogleChromeAsDefaultWebBrowserInWindows7.php ):
The value of Chrome as default browser control panel
Follow these steps to use the control panel instead:
Open the start menu and type the program 'default' in the search field; Then click on the "Default programs" link listed under control panel.
In the window that opens, click "Set your default programs".
In a few seconds, Windows 7 opens a list of candidate applications to be the default value of one kind or another.
Select 'Google Chrome' (which are not not as simply 'Chrome') and click on the button "Set this program as default" on the right. (Or click "choose default for this program' If you want to customize the default Chrome should manage - a more advanced topic).
If Chrome doesn't start, try to Uninstall , restart your PC and reinstall it.
I noticed that Google Chrome it was not stop completely. The window will close on but when I reopen it the program hangs and I have to force quit to run again. I seems that you can go to settings and click on advanced options and under the system section to find the setting to disable chrome to run in the background. However, when I get to the system section I don't have this option. Anyone know how to make sure when I close off Chrome it actually stops and does not run in the background?
May be a third party plugin that maintenance of Chrome to quit smoking as it should.

When in my office, if I click on the Google Chrome icon on the taskbar, the site is displayed in a screen separated by itself instead of on my desk. On this separate screen in the lower left corner there are two icons: icon Apps and Google Chrome icon. In Vista, the Google Chrome would display the site on my desktop and I could create a shortcut to the Web site simply by dragging the address of my office. With this split screen, I can't create a shortcut to the Web site.
Thanks for the solution. It worked.
It is interesting that the 3rd screen is called a modern user interface by Microsoft.
the title says most of it. I got a virus which, for some reason usually let me open all windows programs or all programs like antivirus things or anything that would be useful at all, but ideally he always allows me to get on google chrome. Ive been reading around to see what is my problem and I can say that I should be good if I can just force a restore or get my computer in SafeMode somehow, but even that does not work. When I restart my computer, even if I press f8 when it is placed in service or f12 at the logo screen to get restart options, it does nothing. I see a way to solve this problem, unless theres another way to get into safe mode or perhaps force a system restore sort.
First of all, it is rare that system restore will fix a virus problem. You should focus on access to safe mode to resolve this problem.
Check if you need to hit a function key lock before the F key working in the mode you want. You can also try this, even if the bug can block: click Start and type msconfig, then the
. Click on continue in the UAC prompt. Go to the Startup tab, select the line of safeboot and click apply/ok. It should encourage them to restart and will automatically load safe mode.
Once in safe mode, you will want to run full system scans with your favorite antivirus and antispyware software. You can also use malwarebytes (http://www.malwarebytes.org) as a method to remove bugs.

When I try to open google chrome it loads but then does not open nothing happens and it just started doing this yesterday and I used chrome for 3 weeks before this problem im using win7 64 bit please help, the only browser that works is THE 64 bit firefox does not work and nor does IE
Looks like you may have a virus or other malware. Get your updated antivirus program and boot into Safe Mode. Note that some viruses can hide from your normal antivirus program, so you really need to scan in Safe Mode. To enter in Safe Mode when you turn on first, press F8 on every seconds until you get the menu, and then select Safe Mode. Then run a complete system scan.

If that suits him fine. If this is not the case, use system restore to go back to an earlier date at the beginning of the problem. To run system restore, click Start-> programs-> Accessories-> System Tools-> system restore. Click on the box that says show more restore points.
You can check the corrupted system files. Open an administrator command prompt and run SFC if the above does not help. Click START, and then type CMD in the search box, right-click on CMD. EXE and click run as administrator. Then, from the command prompt type sfc/scannow.
Finally if all else fails, you can look at the rather cryptic system event log. To do that click on start-> Control Panel-> administration-> event viewer tools. Once in Event Viewer system log-click and scroll entries looking for these "error" with indicator see if you can find guidance on where the problem may be.
When you get your system in good working condition, I invite you to back up your system up to an external hard drive and make it regular periodic updates.
I hope this helps. Good luck.
I used firefox earlier; the network is down, then when I rebooted, Firefox would not start. When I clicked on the file, there was silence, and then a small sound noise deaf. Google chrome opens fine.
Then, I downloaded firefox from google and I had my previous session restored. That's happened?
Have you tried to restart the computer after that a malfunction of your network?
It's always the first to try it in cases like this.
It is also possible that your security software had blocked Firefox for some reason any and a relocation to work again.
need to uninstall and reinstall firefox, it tells me to close google chome windows I get thi message when I
go to the Control Panel programs and features high firefox uninstrall
I did the same process with google chrome
Uninstall Firefox ask you to close Google Chrome? It's strange. I guess that you have closed all the browser windows when this happens.
I should ask: why do you need to uninstall and reinstall Firefox? Usually, this does not resolve problems with Firefox. Maybe read this article: Firefox Refresh - reset the settings and Add-ons.
