  Name change is a directory operation.  It would seem that you have read and write access to your directories, but you do not change access.  This highlights a problem with file permissions.  How is 'Simple' the fix depends on which version of Windows you have to a certain extent.

  Windows XP Pro (with "Simple file sharing" turned off) using the security"" tab. When you right-click on a file or a folder and select 'Properties', then click on the 'Security' tab to view and change the permissions.

  Windows XP Home Edition is a bit more complicated.  You can start safe mode and log in as administrator for the 'Security' tab as above, or you can open a command prompt window (start-> Run-> "cmd") and allows you to display the 'cacls' command or change the permissions of files and folders.  You should check that your username has permission to ull 'F' for your records.  Not pretty, but it works.

• AutoComplete in the toolbar Google in FF 4.0 does not. When I select a search term from the drop-down list it does not load.

  As I said, when I type in a partial search term in the Google toolbar and drop-down list, if I click a completed mandate, it will not auto-complete it.

  I have the same problem... When you use the mouse... but using the up/down arrows (keyboard), it works fine. Its a small problem but no less annoying.

  If you have installed DuckDuckGo on Firefox, you can follow these steps:

  1. Type of topic: config in the address bar.
  2. A warning appears, click on "I'll be careful, I promise!
  3. Type browser.search.defaultEngine in the search at the top of the page box.
  4. Double-click the item that appears.
  5. Set the value to DuckDuckGo or any search engine you want to use (the case I think).

  When I type a word or phrase in the Google search bar, the AutoComplete fails; There is no drop-down list of options for research, only thing I totally typed in.   It could be 3 things.

  1. you have disabled the Suggestions show inside the Google search bar.

  To activate the Suggestions show:
  
  Click once inside the search bar, then click inside the bar.
  
  At the bottom of the context menu, choose Show the Suggestions

  2. If you are connected to your Google account, you can set the option to turn off AutoComplete in the Google search parameters.

  3 or, perhaps, you have Javascript disabled in Firefox. In case you were wondering, Javascript and Java are not the same thing. Java is a plugin used for the online games and other applications.

  To check if Javascript is enabled:

  Make sure there is a checkmark on "enable Javascript"

  What I would recommend starting with a reboot of base and if the problem continues, you can reset the settings on your iPad. Despite the fear two-step attention, this does not affect your data. All of your content will remain intact.

  What this does is actually reset some of your settings to factory default. This removes all data and applications, photos or contacts, but it removes all of your preferences for the Wi - Fi, Bluetooth, do not disturb, Notifications, general, sounds, contact ID, brightness & wallpaper and privacy, so we will have to define these things upwards after this reset.

  Do this please go to settings > general > reset > reset all settings.

  I bought this Satellite C855 - 2 EV only 2 days, but I've met a few keyboard problems.
  I type blind and fast all the time, so when I noticed that whenever I type fast, a few letters only do not appear on the screen once I pressed the keys.
  Especially the SPACEBAR.

  I can only type correctly if I do it slowly and if I have pressure on each unique key. I don't want to type like this because I want to save time and just type blind and fast, I also do not want to cause more damage to the keyboard or laptop.

  I know it may seem silly now, but I think that the only solution for you is to type a little more slowly and correctly. With correctly I mean that every single button should be enabled to give a correct contact.
  Similar thing happens on my older P500. When I type faster I make so many mistakes on my word document. Some letters are missing and occasionally does not work SPACEBAR. I tap it correctly. In my view, the key, but there is no contact.

  Sorry, but I don't think you can do something about it.

  I can't my favorites appear in the address bar when I type in.  I have removed/disabled all the parameters 'InPrivate', my 'Securty level for this zone"is set to"Low ".  I "restored the advanced settings.  I deleted all cookies, temporary files, history, etc.  Also, I tried to update my registry and that does not work either.  I reinstalled IE8 and it does not work.  I also ran a 'fix' and who does not.

  Can anyone provide a viable solution?  Also, please don't refer to another thread.  Just put the answer in this thread.  It would be much appreciated.

  My only thought is to reset Internet Explorer...

  Tools. Internet Options > Advanced tab > reset > reset Internet Explorer settings > click on Reset

  IE close and reopen, and see what happens.

  My last thought would be have you started something new installed on your computer for this?

• The mouse pointer does not hide when you type, even with the box checked.

  Hello everyone.  I turned on the check mark in the properties of the mouse "hide the pointer during the strike".  However, the mouse pointer does not hide when typing, but instead remains visible all the time.
