GoPro 120 IPS, slo - mo

I want to assure you that I understand how FCPX 10.2.1 manages overcranked film recorded at 120 frames per second to create the slo - mo.

As I understand it, here's the basic workflow...

1. I import the movie in FCPX - it shows in my library

2. I move a clip on my calendar - my calendar is set to 29.97 FPS or some other acceptable/pick-up rate (60 or less) for my last film

3. I select the percentage to reprogram that I want to slow down the video

4. I make changes what ever I want and then export final movie

My questions are these:

1. when I move the clip 120fps to 29.97 FPS timeline is this drop of frames of the original film to conform to the lower fps timeline? Or abandonment of executives comes at time of export (if the images should be deleted)?

2. when I slow down the video shown in the timeline of 29.97 FPS through reprogramming, it will use the images obtained in the original film of 120fps? Or FCPX made frames to create the slo - mo?

3. If I slow down an element in the timeline at a percentage below images available of what the original film per second can support naturally, is that when FCPX will add filler/false frames to create the slo - mo?

Just want to make sure that I understand how FCP causes changes in the background.

Thank you

-Robert

Put the clip in the timeline panel, and then in the registration menu select Auto speed. Which sets the framework for the display of an image to give you slomo. Then use the adjustment bar to set the speed to anything you want.

  • Idle on Alpha 7 II

Promotional material cites "video modes can be changed of jull APS - C frame, if you wish and in this culture mode, the camera can support 120 IPS to standard HD resolution...". »

I found the position to turn on the APS - C, I can't seem to be able to find the settings for 120 frames per second.

    Can anyone help?  Thank you.

    Hi Ostriesische,

Welcome to the community of Sony!

Based on the specifications of the camera of alpha ILCE7 II, it is not able to record to 120fps, even if the device is set on the capture of APS - C size. I checked with my resources and discovered that this feature is available, instead, on the camera s ILÇE 7 alpha. While the two are in the same series of A7, they would have different characteristics and capabilities.

  • the clip of fps 720 p 120 of GoPro Hero3 black not identified by Premiere Pro CS6

Hello. My Hero3 clip black Gopro is not recognized as a 120fps clip. I've read people saying that it is normal because first pro does not recognize them for anyone... But that of the case, watch this clip:

    http://youtu.be/YeHCUNH4KcM

In all about 30 second, it shows how she recognizes that the file is actually 120fps, in this same screen, I the file is 59, 94fps and not 120 frames per second it is really.

    What I am doing wrong?

    Thank you.

If anyone is still interested in it.

Which solved the problem for me, is to download the editing studio 2.0 software gopro (http://gopro.com/software-app/gopro-studio)

then import export your file with the option for further editing or archiving, import this file into the first, or after-effects

and it will acknowledge with 120fps!

not an expert video codec, new CineForm avi file, don't know if there is any loss of quality

  • New GoPro camera need help with rate of 240 fps for idle

I'm enjoying the possibilities offered by the new extreme sport GoPro camera and need help when it comes to using different rates in Premiere Pro. The pictures I brought in was shot at 240 fps and are indicated as such in the project Panel. However, when I preview the item in the Source Panel he rereads at normal speed and he has not slowed down. If it was shot at 240 fps so I think that Premiere Pro would play this back to 29.97 FPS and true would be slowed down.

I am a beginner and you have to learn how to treat slow clips that I bring that are supposed to be slowed down.

    TIA,

    Ken

    Rod,

You are not wrong, exactly, but I must respond to some of your statements. Premiere Pro is not what some think to do this. Craig and I had this conversation recently. When it Premiere Pro sees 240 fps on a sequence of 24 frames per second, it gives executives. About 90% of them.

Keep in mind that some people turn it quickly because the action is fast, and they want that expected as fast they can project.

Let's say you have a movie projector that shows 24 fps. No matter what film reel you load into this projector, you see the film at 24 frames per second.

Premiere Pro will change the 240 IPS or 60 frames per second to 24 frames per second by dropping frames. It is not generally what people want if they have bothered to get away with it. Yes, it shows you 24 fps, but by dropping frames, is not playing frames one at a time.

This means that if you shoot at 48 frames per second, you get slowed down when projected at 24 frames per second.

Only if interpret you it or use an effect to slow it down. The effect is not as accurate as the interpreter.

Think of it THAT WAY and find out what you have to do to make your premiere pro version are TREATING your images like it is projected at 24 frames per second.  In other words, no boxes are deleted. No boxes are added. NOTHING moves the way you SHOT IT.  Each image you shot will be used exactly as you he turned.

Once again, that if interpret you it this way.

This is NOT MATH or EFFECTS etc.

Well, if interpret you it this is not mathematics, but if you slow down using a percentage, then it is math, and I do not think that it slows down the effect of which is the right way to do it.

Don't download misled by all unwanted people enter with making it slower or faster time with interpolation.

If you can not Surdemarrage or shoot at a higher rate, interpolation is all you have. But Ken did not have this problem, thank God.

If you don't know exactly which continues with the sequences interpret things adobe has some help specify exactly files.

There's not much to it. If you want to slow down 50% interpret it at 120 frames per second. If you want to slow down 90%, interpret it to 24 fps. Anything in between is up to you.

  • HP Envy 750-120: bi-ecrans on want 750-120... HOW... Help, please...

Just bought the HP ENVY 750-120 office... also bought 2 new monitors (HP Pavilion 27xw 27 - in LED Backlit Monitor IPS)... cannot get the computer to recognize 1 monitors...

Curiously, the Office has 1 hdmi and 1 connection on the video card dvi... but both monitors only came with vga connectors (Thanks much HP)... I bought 2 new hdmi cables for monitors but that you can only use 1 of them in the region of the video card... There are 2 connectors extra hdmi on the back of the computer but still using those in all combinations with reboot and detection under settings display does not cause the computer to detect the 2nd monitor...

I think my only other option is to hang the 2nd monitor to the dvi on the video card slot, but I'll have to find a converter because the monitor is only hdmi and vga... does what his right?

I'm not computer expert, please excuse my questions of common sense... why the video card is not 2 hdmi connectors and why HP is hdmi and vga monitors but then make their computers with only 1 connection hdmi and dvi... also, why doesn't the computer recognize the 2nd monitor so I use one of the HDMI slots at the bottom of the computer... What are these slots hdmi because then...?  really annoying that HP does not sytems super easy to hook up to the secular...

    Thank you for your suggestions...

    -bear

I solved the problem of dual monitor.  The computer came with only 1 hdmi connector and 1 connector on the video card.  Monitors have vga connectors and hdmi... a monitor worked with hdmi to hdmi slot, and I ran to the local big-box store and bought a hdmi to DVI and hooked up to the video card... immediately my 2nd monitor came.

    Problem solved,

  • Videos of mo SLO works do not on AppleTV 4

When you go to computer > select Library > photos, allows you to display all the content of your photos. However when you select mo slo album and play a video in slo mo is not in slo mo, just normal speed. I heard that slo mo films are not really slo mo so to speak, they are shot at 120 FPS and iPhone modifies them at 30 frames per second to get slo mo happening, but it seems that appletv this is impossible. I'd be interested to hear if anyone else has the same number or it's just my box, looks like a major oversight.

I heard that slo mo films aren't really slo mo so to speak, they are slaughtered at 120 frames per second and iPhone are modified to 30 frames per second to get the occurrence of slo mo

This is what the slow movement is.

However, yes you are right, I think not slowed down flags is observed on the Apple TV and you will have AirPlay video slo - mo of the Apple TV to get the correct effect.

  • Cannot access any internal IPs when you are connected by VPN to ASA5505

    Hello

I was able to configure VPN to work a bit on my ASA 5505. I can connect to the VPN and ping some IP addresses within the network. But some IPs don't react, I get "Request Timed Out"

    For example:

    10.10.0.4 - it works
    10.10.0.5 - is not word
    10.10.0.10 - it works
    10.10.0.11 - it works
    10.10.0.13 - does not work

If I ping from the network internally, all works well.

Does anyone have recommendations on how to address the issue?

    Hello

If please check windows or any of application firewall PC side. It's less likely the issue VPN or ASA.

  • Clip from GoPro are restless after command 'film '.

    How to reproduce the bug:

    1. Take a clip with the gopro 4 black, 120 FPS or 60 fps, protune, FullHD
    2. Open it in Premiere Pro, create a timeline of 25 frames per second.
    3. Import this clip. Film, then set it to 25 fps.
    4. Place it on the timeline.
    5. The clip will be "jerky": 1 frame is repeated 4 times and then another image will appear.

As well, this happens to me with CC 2014 and colleagues with CC 2015. Same problem with After Effects.

If I do the same with a clip from another source (such announcement a clip of 60 frames per second of a Nion D750 or a Sony alpha 7) it works: playback is smooth.

How we solve this problem? Is this a bug? How can we study the problem?

    Thank you

    Oh, we found the solution.

She was not related to the PAL or NTSC...

It is related to the LOW LIGHTING gopro mode: it breaks the Slow Motion. Turn it off solved the problem.

See gopro 4 black official manual on page 31, downstairs, very very small: "* to idle at a high speed, disable Auto low light." Shooting indoors, make sure you have enough light. »

  • Editing GoPro footage in Final cut pro 7

    Hello

I shot a lot of footage recently on my new GoPro (30 p) 2704 × 1520, (.h264) and I need to convert for editing with Final Cut Pro 7, so that my system can handle it.   My question is: what is the large size of the Final Cut 7 format can manage to edit a GoPro high resolution files (or other camera such as 2.7 k, 4 k formats?)  I'll assume that I need to convert down to Apple Pro Res in 1440 x 1080? Correct size and codec?

Thank you very much for your help!

  • How can I stay on zoom 120 all the time? It goes back to 100 and some Web sites in new tabs

Between Web pages he keeps going back down to 100. Is it possible to set it to 120 between the tabs and Web pages?

The zoom settings are on a per site basis.

    NoSquint {web link}
NoSquint allows you to adjust the text-only and the full page
(text and images) zoom and color settings levels
both globally (for all sites) and by site.

  • Firefox always opens at 120%. How can I change this permanently?

When I open Firefox, the zoom is still at 120%. How can I change this permanently?

Hi, try to change the zoom level (Ctrl and + key, or Ctrl and - key). - The font size and zoom - increase the size of the web pages.

Note: It is possible that your NoSquint extension is changing the default operation, if so, either turn it off, or look at settings - modules Manager Ctrl + Shift + A.

If your question is resolved by this or another answer, please take a minute to let us know. Thank you.
