Probably no disk came with it. Instead, you have a recovery partition.
For information on how to use it, read the instructions or watch on the
web site of the manufacturer.

How to get Vista recovery Media or the Vista recovery Partition on your computer back to factory settings.

There is no Vista free download legal available.

Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.

Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.

In addition, ask them if you have a recovery Partition on your computer/laptop to restore it to factory settings.

See if a manual provided with the computer or go to the manufacturer's website, email or you can call for information on how to make a recovery.

Normally, you have to press F10 or F11 at startup to start the recovery process...

Another way I've seen on some models is press F8 and go to a list of startup options, and launch a recovery of standards of plant with it, by selecting the repair option.

Ask them if you can also make recovery disk/s for the recovery Partition in case of a system Crash or hard drive failure.

They will tell you how to do this.

Every computer manufacturer has their own way of making recovery disk/s.

Or borrow a good Microsoft Vista DVD (not Dell, HP, etc).
A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
The product key determines which version of Vista is installed.

There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.

If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu

Your relocation was made of a set of recovery discs Dell - which uses a key to Dell and cannot be enabled on any other brand.

It's a Dixons computer odf, then I suspec that the COA sticker on the case is for XP Home edition, while the installation is Pro.

You need to return to this system to its licensed version of Windows by using the recovery media for that PC - or a good disc XP Home OEM System Builder.

I have the new system on my laptop, even HD. I lost my installation of Design Standard CS 4 which has been upgraded to 5.5. I need to activate but do not have the disks in CS4. I installed upgrading as trial and I have two serial numbers. Y at - it a shortcut to a solution or can I download the CS 4 sw installation.

    Hi David,

To activate the software to upgrade Adobe CS5.5 that you don't need to install the Adobe CS4 on your computer, you just need the serila for Adobe CS4 & Adobe CS5.5 number.

Once you launch CS5.5 it will ask two serial numbers required for the software, just read the options carefully on the launch of Adobe screen.

Just installed windows 7 but I can't read my product key?

    Help me please thx!

    Option 1:

If the COA sticker is damaged, you must use the recovery partition to reinstall Windows 7, it will be exempt from the need to use the product key to activate your installation of Windows 7.

    Option 2:

If your recovery partition is not available or damaged, you must contact the manufacturer of your computer, and request that a defined recovery disk you can use to reinstall Windows 7. They could practice a small shipping and handling. This will exempt the need to also use the product key.

    Option 3:

If neither options 1 or 2 is possible, then you will need to invest in a new license of full version of detail.

you would normally press F8, F9, F10 or F11 or Alt + F10 or 0 to start to start the recovery process according to the manufacturer

Ask them of the exact key sequence

you use a key OEM SLP to win 7, which requires a bios compatible win 7 for activation of the auto. 20/06/2008 bios date is well before win 7 is out.

you will need to buy a genuine windows or return to windows, your computer comes with that.

OEM SLP: This key comes pre-installed in Windows, when it comes to the factory. This key is designed to work with the special instructions isn't on the hardware of this manufacturer. Then, when Windows was installed using the OEM SLP (in factory) Windows 7 key leans on the motherboard and he sees special instructions and activates. (that's why you had no need to turn on your computer after you brought it home)

Here are the best, if I rename the file, so it does NOT begin with "VM", it will install.  But then if I try to turn on a guest operating system, I get an error because the other files that start with "VM" are started and fail.  If I rename notepad.exe to vmnotepad.exe it will not work!
