• Basic visa write and read the example

  I use basic visa read and write example to control my temperature controller in fact it works perfectly, but I want something else. First of all, I like to read the value of continuous temperature and it can be read on the read string section but I want to do but digital indicator to see the temperature value is it possible? And what is the function I should use for this? In fact I used the analysis of chain to do but I have not checked but it works or not?

  Second, I have to set temperature sometimes on the controller actually I can do writing tset = 025,0 to set the temperature F 25, it works when I write this command in the Panel (string to write), but I want to do like DIGITAL controller or something like that instead of writing the command for each setting is possible. I want to increase or decrease the temperature by pushing the increase or decrease button instead of write tset = 0.250 / a. could you help me with this?

I want because when I set the temperature which must not operate continuously, because it is a time command to read the temperature value this section runs continuously as the temperature on the experimental set-up is changing one I have to see this change, for example I set temperature 100 F and the peripheral controller 100 F heat , but this order is an order of time, but read temperature command should run continuously because the temperature is changing and I need to read the temperature for every 60 seconds and I can be a part.

• Leak memory in real time caused by VISA Read and timed loop of data nodes? Is not supposed.

  In collaboration with LV 8.2.1 in real time to develop applications that monitor or emulate computers on bus RS-422.   The following screenshots have been taken an application that monitors a transmission of 200 Hz.  After a few hours, the PXI station would break a range impressive messages angry... most involving something about memory loss.  After much hair pulling and passing money, my partner has discovered while looking at the available memory on the controller of loss of memory occurred at each loop containing a VISA read and propagation of error using the data nodes (see Leak.jpg of memory).  He concluded that if he went to the propagation of the error to the regular old shift registers, then the available memory was rock-solid.  (has the Leak.jpg of No memory)

  Any ideas of what could be the cause?  Do you see not any problem with the way that we code these kinds of loops?  We always strive to optimize the way in which we use the memory on our urgent requests and VISA readings and DAQmx bed give us the heartache more than ever, we are able to allocate memory for these screws some tips?

  Hi thisisnotadream,

  This problem has been reported, and you seem to be exactly reproduce the conditions required to see this problem. This was reported to R & D (# 134314) for further investigations. There are several possible solutions, of which one is the one you have already found the wiring error directly in the loop. Other situations which give rise to no memory leak are:

  1 if the bytes of the property node port is not there and has read lies in each iteration and time-outs resulting are ignored.

  2. If the structure of the deal is gone and just blindly check the bytes to the port and read each iteration.

  3. If the timed loop is transformed into a while loop.

  Hello world.  I want to see if I can find a way to write a program that will automatically update the field "last website visit Date and Time" in the contact record Eloqua and if they have a SFDC ID drive, push this stamp to SFDC.  I do not make a rule to update or something that will allow me to transmit the data of visitor correlated in good contact record.  Any suggestions?

  Thanks to Pierre in customer support, we now have a solution for this.  The User Guide for the database management (page 28) has a way of creating a progressive input signal to a program that will update web visitor info cross-object of the contact record.  My program is running and works perfectly!

  LabVIEW 7 is not supported on Vista and the version of NI-VISA supplied with LabVIEW 7 is not supported. You can download the latest version of NI-VISA - I ALREADY GAVE the link for you.

• VISA, read and write checks are block after there is no more lines to read

  Hi all

  I am developing a communication continuum between a microcontroller Arduino Uno and LabView. The issue I'm having is to 'Write' and even 'Stop' controls are block once all the initial reading lines are read in. I'm pretty sure that this is because the reading line prevents the complete completetion of the while loop, suspending all the loop until it indicates something else. I tried a number of Boolean operations and I can't work around the problem. The code itself needs a way to detect has nothing to read and ignore the read statement and continue a loop until the user activates the "write" command and writes something. The read command would have would be to read and wait again for user input.

  Any suggestions and help would be great! Thank you!

  Seems I solved my problem. Using the Instr:Bytes function of the Port, the reading error is fixed. Addition of a few cases to see entry written and that it is received and a delay just incase seems to have fixed my code! If anyone has a similar question see my attached code

• Replaced GPIB with VISA now in data loss

  Hello everyone, I'm using LV 2010 to acquire data to a parser of impedance HP 4192 A using VISA calls. The Labview driver provided is quite old and does not communicate with GPIB. I converted the measurement VI to VISA and, it seems, work very well. The problem I have is when performing sequential readings sometimes the parser modifies scales and there is a slight delay. During this time, the acquired data will read 0. I suppose my loop could check for a value of 0, and to generate a break but it makes more sense to set the measure VI himself. Here are my files, any ideas on how to solve this problem? Thank you.

  I just wanted to say after playing for a few hours I solved the problem by adding a node property VISA and the timeout value changed to 5000. See work attached VI.

  In addition, sometimes LabVIEW needs rebooted to get these updates from drop-down list boxes.

  I have a 2015 MacBook Pro with 256 GB of storage, a drive NAS 3TO and 700 GB iCloud photo library. Currently I have a local library of Photos on the laptop with the Optmize storage option in the Photos, the originals are in the cloud. Is it possible to have a file of additional library with a complete copy (with the originals) of the same library iCloud on the NAS drive? The library on the laptop could store the optimized content and the library on the NAS stock originals of the same library iCloud?

  This way:

  1. I have a backup of the master files of the size if the library iCloud on the NAS in my house
  2. I would have a quick access to the full size of my files so at home - especially useful with videos
  3. I would have access to the photo library to iCloud on the laptop and other devices while outdoors and online
  4. While at home, I would have the ability to switch between libraries (optimized on the laptop, original on the NAS)- but both have the same content.

  Could you let me know if it is by no means achieve this, please? And if so, how.

  1 - photo library can not be on a NAS - it can be on a local disk in Mac OS extended (journaled) format related to a wired ocnnection quick

  2. only the system library synchronizes with ICPL and you can have a library of the system by user - you have two accounts on a single Mac each with its own library to ICPL system synchronization then you might have a library on an external hard drive connected correctly locally in a single account and a local library optimized in another account

• Known issue 9.2 and 9.2.1 Siri?

  Siri will not process my requests to set alarms and timers, add events to my calendar, schedule reminders (among others). It will make calls to my contacts, sometimes. I called Apple technical support. I have done sunsequently a Genius Bar last week Thursday, and genius appointment he ran through a bunch of tests, did the resets, etc. and told me she would call back at the beginning of the past week.

  Because I never heard of him, I stopped yesterday and met with another genius. He told me he had intermittent problems with Siri as well. I told him, I understand, but Siri has not worked for me for three weeks in this particular way (some applications to work while others are still not). The genius sent me this email shortly after:

  I have exactly the same problem with my iPhone 6.   I could not use Siri on my iphone to play music, send text Messages, etc. Since the middle of December 2015. Everything worked fine for a year and then suddenly one day it just stopped working.

  I contacted Apple Support and they told me that they had never heard of this issue before!   They ran a bunch of 'tests' with me by phone but could not resolve.  They said they'd call me back when they had a solution - I'm still waiting for a callback.

  It's frustrating because I've always used my iPhone with eyes for free in my car listening to music and I can do it no longer.  Siri is a feature that I bought my iPhone to use and it does not work.

  The 9.2.1 update was has not solved the problem.

  I'd like to hear if you get this solved.

• HP Pavilion x 360: back issues of sleep and stop; MEI driver moved

  I have upgraded to Windows 10 last summer and, like many people, I had sleep and close issues. The computer wouldn't wake him up after he went to sleep and when I stop the computer the light remained on and the fan will continue running. I was able to fix by updating the graphics card and the driver of MEI.

  Windows has released a new update a few days ago and it has been applied automatically to my computer. Now, sleep and shutdown questions have returned.  This time, the graphics card is fully updated, but now I can't downgrade my MEI driver back to version 8.1 of Windows ( 9.5.24.1790 1.5 M ). When I try to install the driver it says 'Setup progam was able to start one or more application processes' and stops. I tried running the installation through Setup of HP and download directly, and none worked.

  Does anyone else have this problem? Any advice?

  Open Device Manager, expand the 'System devices' section, and then find "Intel Management Engine interface", double click it and go to the driver tab, and then click on "roll back driver" button, it will come back to the previous driver.

  You can do most any device in the device manager driver.

  If roll back driver button is gray, then there is no older driver to restore.
