GPS with pci-1426

Hello

I do Imaging NI PCI-1426. I wrote a program that makes the acquisition of the images which works very well. My next requirement is to get the time GPS when the image is captured. I only know that PCI 1426 has two ports to this subject (one is used by the camera).

I would like to know how I can get the time GPS using a GPS receiver and the second port of avaialable.

Thank you best regards &,.

Sandeep

Hi Sandeep,

You can trigger the acquisition off the Board of 1426 using digital i/o connectors on the card.  You can simply send a high digital logic when an image is acquired to the GPS.  Of course, again, everything depends on what kind of entry your GPS device will accept as a trigger.   If she can accept a digital signal, TTL, you'll be fine.  If this isn't the case, you can deal with a conversion between the office and the GPS device.

As far as I know, you should not need any special tools to interact with a GPS device boxes.  A GPS Toolbox exists for LabVIEW, but looks like the things you try to do not require it.

    Hello

    I use a hamamatsu camera CCD C8484-05 (http://sales.hamamatsu.com/en/products/system-division/machine-vision/part-c8484-05.php), with a PCI-1426.

Despite the site NOR say they are compatible, Hamamatsu, tell me that the camera is compatible only with the 1426 to use drivers OR and not the vi Hamamatsu. (http://sales.hamamatsu.com/index.php?id=13200492&language=1&)

I find the file .icd for C8484-05 on the Web site of NOR, and using IMAQ, I can control most of the settings using the camera fixed attribute vi.

However, it doesn't seem to be an option to set the mode of double exposure for PIV (i.e. 2 exposure Framework 2 by using double buffering)

I have to do it manually by using the low-level buffer commands? For a previous camera (IDT X 3), I was able to select this option in their provided VI.

If so, could you point me in the direction of some good tutorials for using tampons?

In addition, there is an easy way to get all the options without copying the text in each menu MAX and using several structures of matter?

    Kind regards

Find attached the modified version of the. CIM file for this device (C8484 - 05 c). I saved as a txt to allow download the Forum of nor. Simply change .txt to .icd and place in > National Instruments\NI-IMAQ\Data

This allows dual-mode frame/PIV using "quick repeat mode also affecting all standard features. The polarity of command is defined positive and the first exhibition is 4.5us, while the second is 81.7ms (without binning)

    I hope it's useful.

  • DI/O cards such as the 651 x are compatible with PCIe 1 x?

    Hello

This can be a bit of a stupid question, but it's my first outing with NEITHER and yet I somehow received some amount of responsibility for a very strange procurement process.  I hope the question is easy to answer and that will mitigate its possible idiocy.

Are maps such as the NI 651 x (http://www.ni.com/datasheet/pdf/en/ds-105) compatible with PCIe 1 x?  Of the image, it looks like they are designed to run on PCIe 16 x, but since the speed is not a major concern, that I wondered if she settle and operate normally on PCIe 1 x.

I am limited in contracts with a default value, extensive construction of tower PC organization, whose mother has two PCIe 16 x and two PCIe 1 x.  Since I will probably need three cards, I was hoping that it would be compatible with the PCIe 1 x slot and we would save the hassle of special purchase order form.

    Thanks for any help!

N ° it is even not a PCIe connection.  It's PCI.  I recommend that you call your local representative of OR discuss your needs and they can help steer you in the right direction.

MI pregunta're exists alguna funcion o alguna forma para count few pulsos were fijado por the card?

    Buenas tardes Arcangel,

Are several ways to count pulsos that entran a una tarjeta, por lo than tiendo estos pulsos son you don't trigger y no hay material para contarlos y luego buy esa Señal.

Lo puedes hacer're programaticamente hacer UN algoritmo you matters pulsos, pero if los datos cuando llega el siguietne procesando estas trigger No. lo going to a count poder.

Como habia EDI en el foro, esta perdida puslos can be very por otro main reasons:

The first are the speed of tus trigger Mayor are a the maximum speed that can see you device, that segun recuerdo 100kS/s era.

The second option are el ancho of tus pulsos sea mas pequeno as el ancho minimo as camara detecta, este in el limit o y no los can worm, este segun recuerdo are single 100 ns o 10ns, no estoy seguro.

Y finalmente, can be as estes procesando you information in el mismo ciclo in el cual adquieres you information, esto our da as a result the lost of data.

If the last are you caso, lo puedes hacer are using the Programación llamada productor & arquitectura. In este link also a poquito mas sober esto: http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/3023

Revisalo y podemos find el porque estas perdiendo estos puslos y podemos tratar corregir esto.

MAS concretamente if you want to count tus puslos requieres hacerlo programaticamente.

  • IMAQ extracted buffer is suspended in an ongoing acquisition with PCIe-1429

I acquire images of 500 x 500 pixels at 1000 FPS from a camera of the Basler A504k using a PCIe-1429 (LabView 8.6, x 64 Vista). The images are processed online, and all works - some time. From time to time the program and out of just to extract vi buffer never gets. No error is produced. I need to kill Labview and restart it to leave. I read http://forums.ni.com/t5/Machine-Vision/BUG-with-PCIe-1429-Cameralink-full-config-Basler-sprint-lines... and implementation of the proposed solution, but no luck. I followed the lost images and buffer number called and can't find any problems. My VI is attached. The images, go to a queue and treatment by another part of the program. Any help will be much appreciated.

    Thanks Vinod,

Another thing is that the structure of your program looks a little broken. You are extracting tampons from the ring, put a reference to the image in your queue, and then going back and extract a different buffer. This means that your previous buffer is no longer checked and could be replaced, but your loop else may not have finished processing this image yet.

While this should be causing your current problem, but I thought it is interesting to point out. I think I have two queues of the source images. One that contains free images and one that contains the populated images. You producer loop of who you've given here would consume the free queue, take in one of these images, and then place it in the populated queue. Your consumer loop would be remove from the populated queue, process the image, and then put the image in the free queue.

  • Acquisition of images using PCI-1426 and Camera Link Camera

    Hello

I am writing a program to capture images of a Camera Link camera via the PCI 1426 acquisition card in LabVIEW. The problem that I am facing is that I am unable to find the correct controls in the functions palette to start the image capture. Could someone tell me please how much control I'm supposed to use?

I've worked on similar request sometimes back, I used IEEE 1394 camera, so once I found the correct block diagram controls I should be able to go from there.

    Thanks in advance,

    Sandeep

    Hello Kristen,

Thanks for the suggestion. I was able to solve this problem. I think that was what was causing the problem I have LabVIEW 8.6 installed on my system and he had the Vision Acquisition System (VAS) 8.5.1. But, once I installed VAS 8.6 I saw the IMAQ in the functions palette.

I'm guessing that LabVIEW 8.6 does not recognize the toolboxes of previous versions.

  • With PCI-6229 NMI Parity error

Currently, I'm trying to get a PCI-6229 to work with one of our lab computers. We'll use LabVIEW 8.5.1 with DAQmx 6.7.1 to program the card. Using our measurement VI owner, the computer will crash at some point (not really in reproducible way) with a blue screen saying "NMI: Parity Check / Memory parity error. All the tests of auto and examples of NOR (delivered with LabVIEW) perform well however.

Most likely, this problem is not a RAM issue (MemTest I tried, different memory chips, different memory banks). Also, the PCI computer bus works very well otherwise (for any other acquisition cards for example). Annoying enough, the card seems to do a great job in an old and slow computer. Which is maybe something to look at? Or are there other ideas?
Our workplace is a Fujitsu-Siemens of Celsius M460 with BIOS version 6.00 rel. 1.09 running Windows XP (32-bit version). The software to use with the card is LabVIEW 8.5.1 with DAQmx 6.7.1.

    Dear Lutz,

I could reproduce the blue screen, and
changed your program in order to avoid the race condition. What is
actually happens is you want 2 tasks over time the
AOSampleClock as a source before the task of AO started.

    When
programming as in the example I sent you (see attachment VI), you
shouldn't deal with this blue screen problem more. However, I recognize
that such a thing should not happen even when it's 'bad' programming... I'm going to
inform the development so that it will be corrected with the next DAQmx
    version of the driver.

  • Triggers the analogue output with PCI-4461

    Hello

I'm trying to generate a signal of analog output triggered with a card PCI-4461. First I tried to use the feature OR DAQmx 'start analog edge' with the way analog input AI0 as the source and the channel analog output AO0 as task. After it gave an error that I tried to use the NI DAQmx 'start digital dashboard' function with PCI0 as source and channel of analog output AO0 as task. It ran, but did not produce any output. Now I wonder if I can use the trigger analog or digital of the PCI-4461 to all of the output.

    Thanks for support you,

    Pribislav

    Pribislav salvation,

you still have this problem? I did exactly the same configuration (power play) and it works fine on my system. The PCI-4461 does not support analog triggering, that's why this error occurs.

  • Digital reading Pulse with PCIe 6509

    Hi all

I'm trying to decode an infrared control using the PCIe 6509, but I've no chance that a signal from a remote control. It seems that when I use the VI of change detection, it does not generate the interrupt, but it cannot produce enough it fast to create a template to use with the reading VI Daqmx. Does anyone know if something like this is possible? The idea is to make the PCIe 6509 generate a digital output signal for each key different on the controller.

    Thank you!

Arduinos are often used.  There are a few boxes to software tools out there like LIFA and Lynx.  Then you just need a serial port to communicate.

  • 485 4 son of connection 2-wire with PCIe-8431

I am trying to connect a temperature with my PCIe 8431 watlow controller.  When I plugged the cable I have shorted out Tx + Rx + (p 4.8) and Tx - Rx-(P5, 9) to connect to the controller.  I guess it's the conversion of 4-wire 2-wire, but when you look at the "loop back" connections of NOR, exactly what they tell you to do.  I ask because I'm not sure and I'm not able to establish communication with the controller.

  • 200170 with PCI-MIO-16XE-10 error

    Hello

I work in a lab and one of our machines had to be updated in Labview 8.5 in 2011 to implement a new box to tools.  I changed any code and have not yet implemented any changes for the new box to tools.  In addition, the program worked before the upgrade. Now, when I run the program I can not run a test because some parameters that indicate that everything is ready are not fulfilled, these parameters are read by the PCI-MIO-16XE-10 (Dev3).  Then, when I stop the program I get the following error:

I use the DAQ assistant to read a Digital-In.

After you have upgraded, I assume this problem is either bettween compatibility 2011 (probably DAQmx) and the card PCI, or that the driver for the PCI card does not work right (even if it says that the device works properly on the 'Self Test' max).

While the above issues likely causing the problem?  The PCI-MIO-16XE is only compatible with traditional and not DAQmx?  How can I check to see if it is set up right if it is compatible with DAQmx?

    Thank you

The problem is exactly what this message says. The device has only port0. He could never have worked with port1.
