  Hi all

  Please can someone advise on this annoying situation! My CD drive disappeared from the workstation and grabs a CD does nothing.

  I get this error; TSST corp cddvdw su-208fb has a driver problem when running to troubleshoot. But does not help to advise what to do next!

  I worked on a VI using LabView 8.6 for awhile and when I opened it today I noticed that although scroll bars are visible on the façade,

  the rectangles that you enter in the scroll bar to move upward or downwards are missing.

  I tried to solve this by masking and display then scrollbars in the following way:

  1. in the VI preferences window

  2. by right clicking on the scroll bars

  3. dynamically using a property node bound to the pane and using the properties of "HorizScrollbarVisibility" and "VertScrollbarVisibility".

  I am trying to acquire digital images from a camera Indigo Systems Merlin Mid using a PCI-1422 acquisition card.  The description of the camera on NI is below:

  When I gain using a 'Snap' acquisition, everything works fine, regardless of how many images I acquire.  When I try to grab an acquisition to get closer to the rate of 60 Hz, I get split frames apparently different acquisitions on each image.  The location of split moves vertically down on each acquisition, leading to the appearance of a picture scroll or rolling.  It seems to me that someone needs to adjust the horizontal sync on an old TV button!

  This problem is present in LabVIEW IMAQ and MAX.  In both cases Snap works fine, but Grab the scalable results.  I use the .icd file provided by the manufacturer in MAX.  Any thoughts on what could be the problem?

  I found that this problem sometimes disappears if you reduce the size of the image being acquired.  In MAX, try to reduce the number of lines in the image by one or two.

  The text turns blue, because you mentioned it.  The most plausible explanation to highlight all of the text while typing is due to hit CTRL-A, which is the same as Edit | Select all.  Then when you type a character when this text is highlighted, then highlighted (blue) text is replaced by the character you typed.  Be very careful to not press the CTRL key instead of the SHIFT key when you type a capital letter A or else which will never happen.

  If your cursor jumps around then also scan your system against viruses and malware.

• XPS 8700 Windows 7 64 card reader disappears!

  Often ill put a SD or CF card into the internal card reader and it disappears from my computer and Device Manager.  No just went wrong! The only way to recover is system sleep and power cord to "unplug". Works for 2 or 3 times and the same thing happens. Dell tried a few software and settings of bugs but that did not work. Then the sent me a new media card reader but same thing happens. Now, they want to replace motherboard and power supply, but I doubt that a is too. Any help or ideas would be great.

  Yes, a very common problem with my XPS 8700. Has been through a lot of readers of cards, motherboards, etc.

  (1) make sure you eject the card reader in the computer drives; the old 'My Computer'. Yes, of course, it's elementary, but several times I just grabbed the first card reader. It applies to remove it from your camera. Don't forget that the camera is turned off before removing.

  2) the "fix"

  It can be irritating, but it you have to remove the side panel and pull the wire connecting the card reader to the motherboard to the wide where it attaches to the motherboard. Then just reconnect and the card reader drives will reappear.

  Check all of your IIS files (inetpub / and below) for all of the .htaccess files. I could do this through Windows Explorer (not Dreamweaver), making sure to check for hidden files.

  If there is nothing there she probably tries to include the contents of a directory somewhere check password protected if your site code (including all includes, CSS, JS etc.) to all external links. If necessary the links on the comment one and try the site again.

• Music notation lines disappear - PPro CS4 interlaced?

  As I put on my window, I start losing scoring lines. Some become grey and indestinct, others get "BOLD".

  I was moving the vertical position the "effects of movement and they return - but never all 5 lines and not as clear that I can see in the source viewer."

  I also create a mailbox "edge of the wedge" around them, and it also makes the lines disappear.

  I guess it was a matter of interlacing and selected the drop for images of deinterlacing, but nothing really changes.

  You can also try to "reduce the flicker" to see if that helps at all. You can also add a small amount of vertical blur can also help.

• The disappearance of miniDV?

  I know it was just a month or two there are some of us were talking about being able to use miniDV for a few more years for weddings and various types of events, but I'm starting to wonder now. Locally on Craig's list, I begin to see guys selling some very cheap good miniDV cameras because they jump in HD. A guy sells a XL1 with tons of accessories for $1000 or best offer. Another is trying to sell a JVC GY-DV500U for the same price and it comes with a free Pyro DV drive. This use of cam for sale for a price of around $5500 and images I've seen of these DV500s looks better than most of what I've seen of HDV cams.

  I need a second camera for weddings, so I think of grabbing the DV500. I tell myself I can convert HD with Boris if I have to and nobody would be the wiser. In any case, I guess you can look at the situation as the disappearance of miniDV or a time many things on some really good 2nd hand cams which can still serve you for quite some time with a little effort. What are you saying?

  I think that DV will be around for a while.  But if it were my money, I'd probably one of the guys on Craig's list of selling rather than buying.  I think my next camera will be HD or better.

  It seems to me that if you have hidden, removed or reduced all regular columns. The column with the small square icon at the top is normally right.
