Grant access request in the Finder

Hello world

I was faced with a problem to access Excel (xls and xlsx) files.

I have recently had a major computer failure with my MBP and managed to recover files from hard disk, but all the file names have been lost, so I need to open the files to reassign them correct / names of files.  However when I try to open the files I get the following window:

Then when I click on "Grant access", I get the following window appears:

Is this something problems I can repair it under OS X, or is this a problem with Excel?

I use El Capitan and having two versions of Excel available (14.6.0 & 15.18).

Any suggestions or advice would be welcome.

Kind regards

Graham

This is not good. Check the ownership and permissions of the recovered files.

If everything is normal, the most likely scenario is that the "recovered" files are corrupted and you're SOL. You can try to open it with LibreOffice:

https://www.LibreOffice.org/

in the hope that it will ignore any matter is mind Excel. Alternatively, you can try to install the editor TextWrangler (free), for example here:

https://iTunes.Apple.com/GB/app/TextWrangler/id404010395?MT=12

and use it to open a XLSX files. If it's good, you should see the contents of the file as a structure that looks like this:

If this is not enough to understand what the problem is so you can have better luck on the users of Microsoft's Mac forum.

C.

P.S. Just because a file does not open it doesn't mean none of them don't. You will need to try em one by one and keep fingers crossed all the time.

By default, the value of the CLAIM is reset before show page processing begins. To apply a value available in the page see the transformation, it must be defined in the URL of the page when a request or redirect or specified in the property of the request of an industry. In both cases, the current value of the APPLICATION can be stored by reference using the substitution of static text ( &REQUEST. ), or the value of an element of a page or application session state provided using static text substitution ( &P101_FOO. )

In this case, you will need to create a branch and make it conditional on the submit button.

  • Grant access to open the workbook

    Hello

I created the new zone book and business work. New test IE user database created. I want to test user access to new workbook to access since the edition of the user discvoer.

I assigned the industry to discover the admin. But even when the connection with the test user to admin, workbook is not displayed.

Please help me to know the reason.

    Thanks in advance

    Hello
Uninstalling and reinstalling discoverer Admin 3.1 is not as easy as it sounds as discoverer 3 always want to install in the default Oracle home.

I would check things over first. To share a workbook following must be in place:

    1. the two users must have an account in the database
    2. the two users must have correct database privileges
    3. the two users must have SELECT on the underlying tables access
    4. the two users must have permission to execute Scout - officer made this using tools | Privileges
    5. the two users must have access to the company (s) - administrator for this using tools | Security
    6. the user needs to save the workbook in the data base
    7. the user needs to share the workbook with user B
8 default EUL used by both users must be the same

Please check again all the steps above once more to make sure that nothing goes wrong. You could try to share the workbook with the EUL owner to see if it works.

If you want to really uninstall and reinstall Discoverer Administrator 3.1 Please take a look at my white paper for free here called Multiple Oracle Homes available: http://ascbi.com/downloads.htm. He will explain how you can install discoverer when there is already a default home.

    Best wishes

  • How to access the photo files in the Finder?

I just updated my system to the picture and I can't access my images in the Finder - the show in Finder option file is not available. What should I do?

The new Photos.app does not reveal the photos managed in the Finder, like iPhoto does.

You can only reveal image referenced in the Finder, you manage yourself and have not been copied to the photo library.

If you want to access the original image files that you have imported, use "file > export" save a copy on your desktop.

The management of the files of origin in the Photos is much more complicated than in iPhoto, so it make much sense to reveal the originals. Photos can simultaneously have several copies of them--in the masters, in iCloud folder or in a folder with temporary items. And if you use "Optimize Mac Storage", there may be no files to reveal to all, because the only copy will be in iCloud and not on your Mac.

    Hello Phuong,

If all you want to do is to access data from an outside domain and does not allow API access to this area there is an easy trick.

This gives access to any field.  What it won't let you do, is add WebWorks APIs in this area.  If you need to provide APIs for a domain, you must explicitly set in the config.xml file at

  • files, .xmp appearing in my SD card to access RAW files in the Finder... Very weird!

    Hello

I'm having a very strange problem...  I use a 4 GB Scandisk SD and turn my RAW on a Canon Rebel 2ti photos.  I use a Macbook Pro, 2011 2.3 Ghz i5, 4 GB Ram, with Lion c. 10.7.2 and to access the RAW files of the SD through Finder.  I am side by clicking on the image file or by double clicking on them, as the PS is my default opening program for RAW files.  When I hit the 'Done' button on any of the Photoshop files, a new .xmp file appears in the Finder.  When I open it, it's a Microsoft Messenger for Mac 8 license agreement...

I installed Microsoft Office 11 and have never used Messenger.  It's not a huge deal, but it drives me crazy and it's totally weird!

    Thank you

    -Dave

There are a lot of separate, unrelated to what is happening to you in a long chain, but each step is normal and understandable.

You open the raw directly from card files in Photoshop. Photoshop will open in Camera Raw. Camera Raw preferences are set to save the changes to the XMP sidecar files. You're clicking on done, that applies by default Camera Raw processing, and that change generates an XMP file to store the new settings. That's why a XMP file appears in the same folder. On a computer, that's fine. But write back to a camera with one another camera card that the camera is not recommended. This more that is recommended is to use another, fast way to preview the raw map files without modifying (Adobe Bridge, Lightroom, Apple Aperture, Photo Mechanic, etc.), so that the left of the map intact as it should be.

If you don't want the XMP file to build, you have to do one of the following:

    • In Camera Raw preferences, change the option "save image settings in ' to 'Camera Raw database', not 'Sidecar XMP of files.
    • Instead of clicking every time, which applies to any changes, click Cancel instead, if you were to research and not editing.
    • Something other than Photoshop can preview raw files. Most of the other ways are faster than their opening in Photoshop. The recommended workflow is to use a camera download utility to browse all images on the card at a time (rather than one by one as you do), then select only the ones you want to make to your computer. Bridge (via file > get Photos from camera, not navigation), Lightroom, iPhoto and Aperture all have this ability.

License as to why double-clicking on an XMP file opens a Messenger: as you probably know, the system must understand which program should open a file with a given file name extension. Looks maybe like Adobe and Microsoft have used the XMP extension, and the installer probably associated with certain file type MS Messenger Office. So when you double-click an XMP file, Mac OS X Open Messenger. Since you have not used before Messenger, is show you "first-run" screen for Messenger, and Microsoft has put in place so that you have to click on I accept on the license agreement before using it. If you never click OK, it will always be the "first run" next time you open Messenger, if you like it or not. You can use Get Info in the Mac Finder to reassign XMP to open in another program.

You were probably expecting many things just happen to open raw on a map, but this is how it worked.

  • Access denied at the request of associated services info - custom object 4

    Hi guys,.

Recently, I am faced with this question, I associate CustomObject4 SR SR of related information and grant appropriate access directly in the access profile (the two SR, K4 SR bound K4, owner and default profile and info) and record the type of access to a user role. At the same time access to the right of this role in the book (SR) is set to read-only. But it displays error access denied 00553 when the user displays SR never belonged does not in itself.
Then, test us on access to the right of this role in the book, this error just keep on when we change the law in full. Finally, we change the law to an access profile (which corresponds to that applied to the management of the roles), this error before disappearing.
Anyone has an idea about this? I think book have an impact on access right to the folder type related information. But can not understand how it works.

    Thank you
    Lucy

    Hi Lucie,.

In order for a user to access the information contained in a book of business, access to books should be given in the user's role and access user profiles. To determine the level of access that a user has a book, control of access in CRM On Demand system calculates all relevant access profiles more liberal rights and applies them.

  • ACCESSIBILITY of the VISION can be improved by the Finder, etc.

    http://www.Macworld.com/article/2026699/stop-squinting-make-text-bigger-in-OS-x. HTML

I can't find answers, but someone else gave this link to an article that I think when followed to the letter will give a lot

users better visual clarity that they would without these customizations.  On Finder > view > Display Options, changing

the font size, on which it turns NOT ONLY IN FINDER BUT in EMAIL AS WELL (for those who have complained about Visual clarity

This app.)  On each stop in the Finder, there is plenty of choice using 'Display the Options' and at the bottom of each of them is the choice

to choose the default selections, indicating that the article is important.  Try it, the article is clear and simple and a

good source.  "May you be comfortable."

Another remedy that helps me with this problem is to get an optometrist to prescribe glasses to use on the computer, for me, it is glasses that allow for better vision 20 ' away and are not bifocals glasses which make me look up of uncomfortable way in order to see.  AO said that now they have some computer glasses which are also the bifocals (let see you near and far together in a pair).
