  I recently updated my graphics drivers on the AMD website, which I did not know that at the time, did not fully support the laptop itself. After having done that, I had a problem with playback of videos where in certain circumstances the video would be black but audio would play again.   I just bought the Z10t A 13V PT 141, with W8.1. This computer works fine on W8, but I want to install W10. I already tried 3 times but each time, the cursor (with the touch pad or mouse) is lagging behind, each movement is jerky and works very well. I tried to see if it was a driver problem and downloaded new drivers from Toshiba for the W10.

  I did the same thing with Intel drivers, but for graphics drivers, there is an error message: "a custom computer manufacturer driver is installed on your computer. The Intel driver update utiliy is not able to update the driver. Install a generic Intel driver instead of the driver from the computer manufacturer custom can cause technical problems.   When I'm with W8, drivers are correctly updated...

  So I think that the cursor problem is due to this driver problem (I hope so, but I'm not sure). What is the solution? I'M alone with this problem?

  EXACTLY the same problem here with my uograded Portege Z10t-A-140 to WIN 10.
  I also took the same steps and encountered the same problems and no solution.
  I find Toshiba after sale customer VERY INEFFECTIVE and disappointing, because it seems no way to get a support PROFESSIONAL from Toshiba on this issue (or any other for that matter).
  Note that I absolutely do not consider helping other users on a forum or self-help a form of professional support at all!

  Finally I found the solution after using the debugger Windows blue screen, it was a Windows bug which, upon further research, I found is patched on Service pack. After I installed Windows 7 service pack 1, the driver got installed like a charm. Now, I installed the NVIDIA driver as well, all right.

Whenever I have let windows automatically updated, update the full operating system for windows 10, I keep losing the Catalyst Control Center as well as the AMD graphics driver (which I noticed because the adapter is gone from Device Manager.) So I ended up back to factory default with windows 8.1 and kept all the automatic updates turned off. In addition, update drivers on this unit is very annoying... so I went here because I'm tired to reset the laptop to factory settings, whenever things get screwed

The laptop was very cheap because it came without an operating system, but it was not a problem for me because I already had my own. Now, after I installed Windows 7 32 bit, I had and service pack 1, I went to the HP site to look for drivers, only to find out that they are only available for the 64-bit system. For some of the components, I managed to find the drivers online. However, I can not install those Intel HD graphics card. I tried everything, downloaded a lot of different versions of the driver, tried to install manually from the Device Manager, but all I can see there is the standard VGA and spare no effort to update did not work: the .exe file tells me that I have no required system, so that when I do it manually it tells me that the appropriate driver has been installed.
