graphics card for pavilion p6720f

can anyone recommend a graphics card for pavilion p6720f? Thanks in advance I would also like to upgrade power supply please notify a bit fragile onboard graphics

Hello

The specifications for the p6720f indicate a 250 watt power supply.  There is not enough power in this power supply to run a decent discrete video card.

What is the main purpose of wanting to install a graphics card?

    Hi there @jhamaca,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!  It's a good place to find the help you need, other users, the HP experts and other members of the support staff. I understand that you are looking for more information on graphics updates for your system. I'm happy to help you with this.

By looking at the motherboard and system specifications: HP Pavilion 22 - h040es TouchSmart all-in-One Desktop PC product specifications, HP and Compaq Desktop PCs - card motherboard (Lavender-U), your system does support not a discrete graphics card at all. The only possible apparent graphics upgrade, is based on the upgrade of the system processor and GPU is integrated into the processor itself. See the table under the heading "Information processor upgrade"

I hope that answers your question about your options and if it does not solve your problem, please mark this message as a solution. Bravo would be appreciated as well.

I found the specs for the office here.  I try to get a medium to low end without graphics card to upgrade the power supply or something else. I tried to install a Nvidia Geforce GT 730 but without success. With this card installed, I turn on my desk and get stopped at the HP screen that says "Press esc for boot options" and pressing esc does nothing. I tried to start in safe mode and disable the integrated graphics card driver and then install the card once again, but always without success. Could someone either tell me why this card didn't work or direct me to a card that works?

  • Graphics card for Pavilion p6-2065uk

I wanted to improve graphics performance using graphics instead of the integrated graphics card. I've increased the RAM to 4 GB to 8 GB and I replaced the power supply 200w with a Corsair CX430 original. The PC worked fine after these changes.

I checked the spec of the motherboard and it has a PCI Express x 16 (Gen2.0) housing expansion and decided to buy a Gigabyte GT630 graphics card.

When I installed the card and rebooted - open Windows OK but I got a white screen. I know that Windows is running because I can hear the sounds of startup. I can't install the drivers of GT630 because of the empty screen. The card is inserted correctly and is the fan turns.

I wonder if everyone has been installed a graphics card in the p6-2065uk?

It took forever, but I finally sort this. I knew that Windows 7 has been commissioning OK because I could hear the audio. The motherboard software disables the onboard graphics, if it detects a video card - what happened when I plugged in the GT630 in the PCIE slot. I could access the bios, but once Windows started - no graphics, so I couldn't even go into safe mode.

The solution was to access the computer by using remote access from another computer (where the graphics was OK.

I've created the Google Chrome remote desktop on this computer as well as on my old Dell so I could access that PC remotely. When I did, I have inserted the graphics card and booted - white screen, but I could hear Windose 7 startup tarah. Connected to the remote on the old Dell and hey presto I could see the desktop but with a resoultion of detritus. I loaded the graphics drivers from the CD. It took forever, but when I rebooted everything works!

It was worth it - the windows performance is about 7 now - it was 3.5.

Hope this helps someone else because I searched the Internet for weeks and have found no solution.

It's such a hot PC now.

    Thank you.

    Hello

You're dominant, in your case, the most important factor-BIOS compatibility... more recent maps, like the gt730, require the UEFI BIOS to run... you have a LEGACY BIOS system, and cannot do anything, unless you change your motherboard... your pc is a model of early 2011... UEFI standard HP in their systems of end of 2012...

You can watch other maps, if... the 700 series card youre looking at is a maxwell model 2014... There are in this region that come with a feature of hybrid bios which offers wider compatibility on legacy systems... or you can look at maps more old pascal/fermi architecture that work exclusively on legacy BIOS systems...

    Hope this helps

No there is no way to upgrade the video card. She is soldered directly to the motherboard. Your motherboard is the highest and best for the dv6-6xxx series, so there is no improvement even if you would swap motherboards. I'm sorry.

  • Updated my graphics card for HP Pavilion Elite e9107c?

    Hi all

I want to update my graphics card for my computer, I can barely run settings means on most games these days, I never upgraded a computer in front of either, this was pre-built.

I am aware that the case is really small, but I'm not interested to buy a new computer/case. I want to just buy a graphics card and a power supply so I can run games like Guild Wars 2 and BF3 on medium-high settings. My computer can not handle same BF3 with resolution of 800 x 600, with windows, and graphic down, I get 10 frames per second at most out of it.

Then I would ask, what is the best graphics card that can fit in my computer? And her appropriate food to go with it?

    TECHNICAL DATA:

Computer name: HP Pavilion Elite e9107c

Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad Q8200(2.33GHz)

Graphics card: ATI Radeon HD 4350

    Power: 300W

    Motherboard:

    RAM: 8 GB

    32-bit operating system - Windows 7

I am sure that all this is true, if I'm wrong, you can check online, its pre-built and I have not touched since.

I don't know what my motherboard, is the one that comes with the computer, I found this out of a site, and I think it's good, I'm not too sure:

    Motherboard - PEGATRON CORPORATION / model: 1.01 Eureka3

I know either the size of the card, or the power supply.

Whatever it is it would help a lot! My computer is already 3 years old, and I can not play games like TF2 and Skyrim above 800 x 600 with the everything low-medium settings by getting 20 + FPS.

Thanks in advance for the answers, I will add more information, if I listed those are not sufficient.

    Navibol,

Looking at your specifications and the requirements of the games you listed, BF3 is most intense.

    (1) you must measure the length available. See here

    (2) I would recommend the EVGA GTX560 or GTX560Ti, see here

    3) the minimum POWER supply: 560 suggests a 450W power supply, the 560Ti suggests 500W PSU.

I would say the Rosewill 630 or Corsair 600 . I'm the Rosewill this bias.

  • How can I determine compatibility graphics card for a Pavilion P6-2378?

Is there a manual or a list of compatible graphics cards for my Pavilion P6 2378 office? I have improved the power to 500 watts and try to install a Sapphire Radeon HD 7850 PCIe 3.0. It is buggy on startup because it takes about 45 seconds for the display to get a signal and Windows Media center does not open with the card, but does so with the removed card.

Thank you for your response... P6-2378 is a desktop, not a laptop. I found the cause of the problem and it has to do with the settings that HP or Microsoft Wind8 in the WOODS with the parameter 'Secure Boot'. It must have the value 'Legacy Boot' for a different graphics card to work.

  • Pavilion 500-314: graphics card for 500-314 Pavilion update

Please suggest a graphics card for me.

I have the R7 Radion integrated AMD provided with the motherboard, when I bought the Office a couple of years. Max resolution seems to be 1600 x 1200.  I want to improve my (two) monitors and the graphics card in order to better support my work Adobe Lightfoot.  I did not and never going to make any game.  Power supply of the desktop computer is 300W.

I like to keep the price of the card under $ 100. I've not spotted monitors so I don't know what will be my target resolution, but 1600 x 1200 is too low.

    Thank you.

    @MarkG3, welcome to the forum.

Here is a video card which should do what you need.  It's a little above your budget, but it is really worth the extra money.  The plug on the State of EVGA Web site she needs at least 300W to work properly.  However, there have been several reports on the forum think 400W is needed.  Read the reviews to see what users have to say about it.

If you decide to buy it you can try with your current converter of power supply (PSU).  It will not damage anything.  It simply will not work correctly.

  • update graphics card for desktop PC HP Pavilion p6-2378

I am looking to update my graphics card for my PC. Those who would be the best for my computer?

    Gamer30, welcome to the forum.

I think that your handle explain what you want to do with the new video card.  Therefore, in my opinion, you have to upgrade the power supply (PSU), also.  The existing PSU is 300W.  Latest intermediate level maps require a minimum of 400 w to work properly.  These cards will be much better than the integrated video.

I like Corsair and OCZ PSU.  They are of high quality.  Here's one that should fit in the space provided and give some future upgrade room.  I would normally recommend at least 500W, but 500 or 600 w will work as well for your situation.  The computer does not use any more power there need work properly.  As a result, won't hurt the computer. I recommend you measure the PSU existing and comparing measures to whichever you choose.

I like the graphics cards XFX, EVGA, Sapphire and PNY in that order.  Here is one that you will give a boost to good performance and won't break the Bank.  I recommend you stay less than 9 "long.  This ensures that it fits in the space provided.

If you don't like one of the recommendations I have made, they will give you at least an idea of what works in your computer.  Always read the reviews to see what users have to say about any product you decide to buy.

He has (1) PCIe X 16 vacant slot and I need to know what (games) graphics card recommend in addition to this power supply upgrade would be needed. I was check merchants online, but there is so much new and all the days to come. I'm leaning towards NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560, which just came out. Please notify. Thank you!

    Titelilidu72200, welcome to the forum.

I like the graphics cards XFX, BFG, EVGA, Sapphire and PNY in that order.  This preference has come from many years of research and visit the amateur/gamer forums.  This video card requires 500W of power and is 9 "long.  I normally recommend staying less than 9 "long.  This ensures that it will not go in the space provided.

For what is a power supply, I love OCZ and Corsair.  They are very good amateur/gamer manufacturers.  Their products will provide your system with clean and stable energy.  You must measure the existing PSU and compare them to the one you choose.  This ensures that the other is insert in space.  You can't choose this card, but it's a good example of what you need, except for the length.
