Graphics update HP Pavilion p7-1421

I have a HP Pavilion p7-1421 desktop is integrated graphic running supplied with the pc. I would like to put in a better graphics card for the high-end gaming, but I do not know what card would be best for my needs. I was watching the GeForce GT 630 2048 MB GDDR3 link here. My biggest concern is that the computer is running 300 watts and I really don't want to mess with power if I have to. Advice or suggestions on a better type of card (better than what he has now / integrated) who would go without having me more power? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Hello

Stay with the recommendation that is made by the manufacturer of the video card.  This recommendation is based on the unknown electric charges in the PC, the quality of the power supply and efficiency under maximum loads with the 5 volt and 12 volt bus. Some try to skirt recommendation of the manufacturer of the video card. This may work for a while until the PC is put under load and/or the next update is made and the finger pointing began. It's your decision. The map that you referenced can work with your current diet.  It is a call to close.

The graphics card that comes in this PC has only VGA and DVI outputs. Is it possible to add a card that will have HDMI and DVI outputs? I prefer to use two monitors. I don't want to have supply issues such as mentioned in the previous forums.

There is no way to add a video card without upgrading the power supply (PSU).  The current PSU is only 300W.  Although a newer card condition part in the specifications that they will run on 300W, most members indicated that they require 400W.

Here is a USB 3.0 video adapter that works.  You have two ports USB 3.0 at the back of your computer.  I suggest you contact Technical Support of StarTech to help choose the best graphics card for your needs.

is the radeon hd 6450 graphics compatible as a450n upgrade card

The specs page for this model is HERE , and it shows the location of the chart "an AGP 8 X / 4 x slot.  All radeon hd 6450 graphics cards I've looked at are PCI-e.  It can be a difficult task to find AGP cards unless you like to shop at second hand electronic or EBay. The GeForce FX 5200 AGP2 8 X referring to the technical page isn't really a card.    The FX5900 would be an upgrade, but it is unavailable expect on sites such as EBay.

    Hi there @jhamaca,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!  It's a good place to find the help you need, other users, the HP experts and other members of the support staff. I understand that you are looking for more information on graphics updates for your system. I'm happy to help you with this.

By looking at the motherboard and system specifications: HP Pavilion 22 - h040es TouchSmart all-in-One Desktop PC product specifications, HP and Compaq Desktop PCs - card motherboard (Lavender-U), your system does support not a discrete graphics card at all. The only possible apparent graphics upgrade, is based on the upgrade of the system processor and GPU is integrated into the processor itself. See the table under the heading "Information processor upgrade"

I hope that answers your question about your options and if it does not solve your problem, please mark this message as a solution. Bravo would be appreciated as well.

  • Pavilion p7-1421 video card help.

I recently bought a Pavilion p7-1421 pc which has an AMD A8-5500 Quad Core CPU and integrated graphics Radeon HD 7560, running Windows 8. I used a Radeon HD 5770 card to my old pc and wanted to use it in my new since the integrated graphics card can't start some games online for @# $%. So... I swapped the OEM power supply for a 650w, disabled the onboard graphics via Device Manager, plugged the HD 5770 card into the PCI-E slot, the power cord plugged in and everything started working. To turn the pc back on, I get the thing BEEP/BLINK 6... (which means theres a video card problem)... and so I start trying to figure what is wrong. I had somehow flashing/beeping to stop, but my monitor does not receive a signal. IM pretty much stuck at this point and don't know what the problem is or how to get the map to work. I don't think that throwin a HD 5770 card into a platform that came with 7560 HD integrated graphics would be the question, or is it? If anyone can throw some advice my way, id really appreciate it. Thank you.

    Hello

What specific video card brand and model number (including the amt of VRAM on board)?

It can be a problem and secure boot UEFI environment, BIOS firmware.  Some manufacturers have put the code in their BIOS vdeo cards that allow them to deal with the issue and others have not.

It's something along a number of forums and blogs are reviewing internet. Check your video card manufacturer website and the forum to see if others have similar issues the same vec card you have.

can I upgrade graphics card on pavilion dm 4?

    Laptops are unlike desktop computers.

Desktop PC have an open architecture that make the relatively simple upgrade.

PC laptop and portable access to the e/s available and put at level of the slots through the doors of the inspection and often almost total disassembly.

Laptops are also limited by the BIOS and the physical attributes systemboard on the video modules and wireless can be used for upgrades.

A BIOS of the laptop has a white list of the modules that are acceptable. If a module wireless or video is not on the whitelist, then it cannot be used. If a notebook THAT BIOS found during the POST (power on self test) as a module not on the white list has been installed it will warn you and it won't start the laptop computer in the operating system installed.

If money is no object you can update the video through an exotic external graphics solution like Vidock Gfx.

  • Update graphics card on Pavilion

I have a Pavilion P6719 desktop computer.  My son is unable to play games 3D on Steam, and so I was wondering what I should update the graphics card.  I was also told I need upgrade the power supply because it is 250 watts.  No idea how much these improvements?  Thank you.

Hi, I'm glad I could help.

Since your motherboad specifications, you should be ok.

It has a PCI Express Gen 2.

The provision should allow a video card double width.

The current supply is a standard ATX case size.

It's 250 watts, so you will need to update.

So quite here what they are available everywhere.

I can truly say all the necessary connections for sure without actually opening it watch, if you order something without knowing for sure get something with a lot of connections to the computer.

A ULTRA ULT-LSP750 should do the trick.

It has enough additional connections which should cover all the bases.

Here are the specifications of your HP Pavilion dv6-6192sl Entertainment Notebook computer. Based on the specifications, this model supports "HP Switchable Graphics". Intel driver was will refuse to install it because of the customization of HP. The provided HP driver Intel you have downloaded and tried to install is for the models that have no switchable graphics. The graphics driver AMD high definition (HD) is the pilot of the only viable solution because it contains the AMD and Intel drivers needed for your computer.

An option that is very popular with people who want more drivers, is the third-party provider http://leshcatlabs.net/.  -I recommend read you and well understand why driver signature enforcement must be disabled to load these drivers and what risks it may pose. • Update the graphics driver on Pavilion 15-b150

So I have a HP Pavilion 15-b150 with AMD Radeon HD 7400 G and I was wondering if there is a way to update the graphics drivers (on Win8)? That I have are the same ones as on the page of the product on the HP site and they are quite old. I tried to use the Catalyst update since the site of AMD, but he told me that it was inconsistent because of hardware/software? Surely, there must be a way to update.

  • HP Pavilion Slimline s3315.uk graphical update

My children have a HP Pavilion Slimline s3315.uk but I must improve the graphics cards, but don't want to spend too much. I was wondering if the ATI Radeon HD4650 1 GB DDR2 VGA/DVI PCI Express can be a good option. Any ideas?

John, no, the HD 4650 requires too much power for your power supply unit (PSU).  It does not say in the specifications of the computer, but I think that the power supply is 180W to 220W.  The 4650 requires a minimum of 400 w to work properly.  In addition, the computer requires a low profile video card.
