Graphics upgrade of Office CQ5624P and power supply

My PC is... Compaq PC desktop Presario CQ5624P w / graphics using nVidia GeForce 6150SE integrated & Internal 250W (100V-240V) total power: 250 w, power supply: •100-127V/8 has •200-240 v/4.

PROBLEM: I would like to upgrade my graphics
(but... * embedded video is not available if a graphics card is installed.) Also one but... NOTE: * built into the graphics card or the card PCI Express x 16 slot are usable at once; they are not usable at the same time.)

Question: I will lose all functions of e/s (VGA, USB ports, ethernet port, input audio & outputs) on the graphics card integrated if I update to an EVGA GT619?

Regarding the power supply: what are the specifications for a better diet which is virtually "plug-and - go" compatible with the Office of CQ5624P? " (between 400W to 500W).

I'm not a great player, I'm looking for a way to use a 50 "flat screen and my pc monitor at base of household use, movies and low end games... Help appreciated... Thank you.

Hello again FLknights,

I can't make a recommendation, but I can give you some information. First of all, the graphics card you are looking at is a PCI Express 2.0 x 16, and who can worry because you do not have a PCI Express 2.0 x 16 slot on your Board. If you are concerned don't be there is no difference that he connects on your Board, so it should work fine.

Looking at the two UCP will work and both leave you with room for growth if you decide to go this route. You certainly need to change the power supply though as the 250 watt installed is not sufficient for the needs of new cards 300watts.

In addition, the graphics card supports the operating system of Windows XP to Windows 8. For me, it would mean that you should also make sure that when you go to turn off the chart embedded in the BIOS you also enable Legacy Support or material according to what you see.

I hope this helps. Thanks again for your post on the HP Forums. Have a great day!

Hello, I am wanting to update my graphics card as my current one is finally fall behind on current games, BF3 beta is a restless nighmare and BC2 must be smooth running low (ick). I removed the side panel to check the dimensions of the new card and it looks like it fits. The only thing that could be a problem of release the cables SATA for the hard drive and hard drive because they are both plugged into the two slots, I don't think that the two superiors would be no problem at all. Depending on the thickness of the new card is also, it may be very close to the sound card that is spaced only a slit above the graphics card. I have another location available PCIe x 1 go back one level more that I should be able to plug the sound card in if there is no problem.

My question is that these two will be compatible with my system? (physical limitations side)

Also, can I change which SATA plug the hard drive and disc plug in, without having to reformat? Is it just unplug and plug in the new housing? (setting power off + unplugged of course) Basically passing SATA0 and SATA1, SATA2, and SATA3. Or do need to be filled in order? (0 then 1 then 2, etc...)

Finally, If I can't move the sound of a standard card, do I need to do anything other than the physically move when the computer is turned off and unplugged?

    Any help is appreciated, thanks!

    John

    jkalbin,

You have thought through all scenerios. Move the sound card does not any problems. The hard drive should stay in header SATA 0.

  • P7-1490 upgrade graphics card and power supply

I just got a GEFORCE GTX 650TI stimulate the graphics card.  The 300 watt Power Supply on my P7-1490 can't handle it because I need a 6-pin power connector.  The 1490 comes with a 300 Watt power supply.  I need something at least 450 watts.  What upgrade adapts to my box.  Also, the Jasmine motherboard can handle the new graphics card.  It fits into the PCI Express slot.

Please look at the Corsair CX500, CX600, CX500M, or CX600M power supplies for your needs. Yes, the card of mother Jasmine in your p7-1490 should be able to manage the GTX 650 it. In addition, you need to enable 'Secure Boot' and possibly 'Legacy Support' in the BIOS before installing the GTX 650 it.

  • Can I put a new graphics card and power supply in my computer.

Hey all, I have the model P7-1459 and it is good, but I was hoping maybe give him a boost of game. But I was not able to know if she could handle what I want to do. The new graphics card would require a 450W power supply, and I do not know if this model could handle. Anyone know of a way or another? Need help.

    Joshua, you are welcome!

I'm sorry that I misunderstood your question.  I thought that you wanted to know if the computer would process the card.

Yes, you can upgrade the power supply (PSU).  I suggest to measure the PSU existing and comparing these measures to the one you choose.  I love OCZ and Corsair.  They will provide quality amateur with a reasonable price.  A good video card requires a clean and stable power supply.  I recommend at least 500W; 550W at 600W would be even better.  This would allow for future updates.  The computer uses only the amount of energy needed to operate the components.

    I hope this helps.

  • HP M9340f and Power Supply Upgrade graphics card

    HP dear community,

I read some of the forums on the upgrade of the 9500gs it's an old graphics used for the HP M9340f. It's been 4 years now and the computer still works very well. I need advice for the upgrade on the graphics card.

    My specs are: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01465973

I know that there a 350W power supply. I am worried because the 9500gs video card has a connector that is powered from the motherboard, it has 2 pins (black and white wire). I read about the update for the ATI HD 5670 Nvidia 440 or 450. I know it is very old, but the 9500gs is still able to run modern games.

The recommendations would work due to the connector 2 pin?

Upgrading power supply help, because I think the video card is to select the power supply to the motherboard and not directly from the power supply.  I'm still confused on what the black and white wire, it is connected to the video card.

I don't mind getting a greater electric power because I can get a better card. Just concerned with the black and white wire.

I also read here that this person was able to exchange his power supply and graphics card for a gtx 560 ti and a 550W power supply. Its model is newer than mine. http://www.tested.com/forums/PC-and-Mac/8692-seeking-upgrading-graphic-cardnew-computer-advise/?&p=1

    I am really limited?

    Thank you

    Abe

    Swarl3s,

    We will divide your questions.

    (1) black/white is audio Spdif. Asus Nvidia supports a S-video port, audio is provided by the additional wiring.

Now that the concern you had as answered (the whitw/black wiring), Let's proceed to the card.

    (2) what are your expectations of game? WOW, Diablo 3. Each has a recommended graphics card and each graphics card recommended the power of the power supply. Always add a tolerance.

Regarding the GTX560Ti and a combination of 550W PSU, I see no problem. Then again, see here for more information and suggestions.

  • Upgrade graphics card and power supply

I will apologize for my lack of knowledge, but what are the procedures to follow regarding changing the settings (i.e.BIOS) before unplugging my computer to install the new units; or on startup AFTER installation of the new equipment? I have a long history of building electronic for example, amps, Preamps etc... but another that understand the end mechanical (installation of equipment), I beg near complete ignorance about the computer upgrade. For general information, I install a ZOTAC GeForce GTS250 graphics card and an Antec Earthwatts 650 power supply (the apparent overkill is in a hurry to other possible mods). I will also add extra cooling for all electronic components, it is the killer #1.

Thank you very much, David... The graphics card is simply an upgrade of a Nvidia GeForce 8500GT card, so I hope no problem!

  • I3 4130 map graphics and Power supply

Hey guys, I have an i3 4130 with 8 GB of ram,

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c04119419

Of course, this processor and ram are good for the game, as I have seen online videos of people playing bf4 and crysis 3. I also want to play these games and cs: GB and dirty bomb and dragon age.  I don't really like playing high heat, the middle is fine for me.  I really want to get a r9 x 270 BC, they are in a large part to the best buy right now.  I will also buy a 650W power supply to go with it. My boyfriend is a geek and can install it for me. I took action, and I can fit such a graphics card or the gtx 660, in my case. [cards that are 10 x 4]

However, I saw in another post that my motherboard has a connector 4-pin. Is this bad? The website says that my motherboard can support up to an i7 uprade!... So why not other new powerful pieces such as a GPU or a power supply.  I get that HP does not have computers for games. Why would they do a motherboard that can run an i7, but not an equally powerful GPU. I get that HP does not have the gaming PC, but those of office. However, it is the PC in my family study, so I'll try to make it work.

Another way is for ma to get the GTX 750, because this card has a minimum required 300w power supply.

    http://www.Newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=N82E16814487024

However, a person in another forum said that HP uses cheap power supplies and will not have enough tension on the 12v rail. is this true?  If this way works, I definitely don't go this way as it is easy... also no need external with this map of power cord. However, if my power supply does not have enough Volts on the 12v rail, so I'll just take the graphics card I want and needed food.

It's really frustrating me because I played some very old games [rtcw, and] with friends on teamspeak at night and my integrated graphics card could handle, but now they are turning on modern games that I can't play and I reallly want to understand this before you go and spend a lot of money. Thanks for any response.

A: I definitely recommend that you try the EVGA GTX 750 Ti.  I read a lot of good things about it.  It does not all the connectors extra power on the power supply.  Regarding the PSU in HP computers is lousy, the fact is that they install the power supply that is compatible with the OEM components.  Even if their computer can be upgraded, they design that enable out of the box.  You can try with the current 300W PSU, but if it does not work, I suggest you buy a power supply at least 500W; 600W would be even better for futute upgrades.

However, a person in another forum said that HP uses cheap power supplies and will not have enough tension on the 12v rail. is this true?  If this way works, I definitely don't go this way as it is easy... also no need external with this map of power cord. Hello

The power supply and the video card must be inserted.

Try this link is your PC ready for BF3?

Most PCs are not ready for BF3 and there is usually a faster video card and a bigger power supply.

  • No video after having replaced the graphics card and power supply

I have a desktop HP Pavilion m9515y PC. The graphics card that came with it (NVidia GeForce 9600 GS, 768 MB) did not suit the minimum specification required by a game that I played. Things in the game has been very slow - I could see a delay of s ~0.5 to move my mouse on the splash screen for the game.

Today, I bought a new graphics (NVidia Geforce GTX 550Ti, 1 GB) card and a Corsair 700W PSU to replace the 350W one that came with the system.

From the outset that I messed up something. It's been a while since I opened the box and I thought wrongly that the top panel (with the rubber surface) to come off before the side panel could be deleted. I removed the two screws now the top panel in place and slipped it in the process it disconnect and two thin black wires which I do not know the function. It was attached near the power button and one was attached to the rear of the Panel. The sons have stripped the ends rather than a connector of some sort and I don't know how they connect back or if they are the cause of the problem that I see now.

In any case, I advanced and removed the old PSU and video card and replace them with the new. Two of them are significantly larger than the components, they replaced, but they managed to adapt with some maneuvers. All cards are well-placed in the PCI slots.

The power is connected hard disk, DVD drive, the motherboard and the new video card. I'm not aware of any other connections that need to be made to food. There was not much clearance between the power supply and the back of the DVD player, but I was able to get the data and clinging to the DVD of power cables.

After having done all that, I hooked my monitor DVI cable, plugged in the power cable and turned on the power. When I plug it in, the power button on the top of the tower is illuminated and the power seems to work. However, my monitor indicates that there is no video signal. I tried to put the old return video card, but I don't always have a video signal. Because I can't get a video signal, I can't tell if the PC is start or not.

Does anyone know the purpose of the wires that were connected to the top of the Tower?

They would cause they cause this problem if they are not correctly connected?
Any suggestions for the possible causes of the absence of a signal from a video card?

I just took the PC to a repair shop and it turns out that the problem was quite simple: I don't have the PCU power cable 4 pins hanging. Everything seems to start fine when we hung out at the shop. Fortunately, the place that I took did not even charge me what as they don't charge co-pays and since it is such a simple fix.

Now I feel kind of stupid, but I know better next time...

  • HP h8m question. Graphics card and power supply.

Hi, I am planning to buy a HP h8m series. I just want to know if it is possible to update the graphics card (by default it is an AMD Radeon HD 6450) to an AMD Radeon 6950. For what I searched there are 2 drawbacks. First is the power supply. Default power, the computer has, I think that it's 300W and the graphic card requires 500W. So my first question is, this computer would be able to manage the change of power supply? The second question that I have, I read on the Internet that this graphics card is physically large in size, so, this computer can fit this graphics card? If there is no response, please can you me better graphics card, it can adapt without worrying about food? I think it can be great information to say that I'm looking animation 3D with this computer so I think I need a good graphics card. Thanks in advance.

    Hi Pablo

Look over thisNVIDIA GTX 57. It has 2 GB of memory, which will help to 3D.  This card is longer and must adapt. You will need a bigger PSU such as recommended by OG.  A Corsair CX600 is a good choice

  • Video card and power supply upgrade - XPS 8700 (mid-2013)

    Hello

I was considering upgrading my video card in my 8700 XPS to an AMD R9 270 to an AMD R9 290.

I was wondering weather the power would be able to take it.

It's a 460W power supply which I don't think will be able to manage an AMD R9 290 so I was also wondering if he could not do, where can I get a more powerful power supply? I know where to buy a lot, but I don't know if Dell, you have specific feeds of size to fit the case.

Is it OK to buy a market after we'll tell power 650W from any manufacturer or should I buy a specific for the case.

    Thank you.

At the very least, get a 750w power supply. This one has been reported to adapt.
