Graphics wrong twice in a row

I ordered a laptop T420S about a month ago and received it in about two weeks. When I turned it on, I found that they sent me the wrong graphics card. My specs were:

Technology Optimus NVIDIA Quadro NVS4200M (1 GB)

What is the option of the improved graphics, but I received an Intel(r) HD Graphics 3000.

When I asked for a replacement, they sent me one after more than an hour of the call and waiting and I just got the news today. But again, it is the Intel HD Graphics 3000 and not the NVIDIA Quadro graphics card.

Here is the screenshot I took of the new laptop that I received today:

What should I do? Call again and ask for a second replacement? (They could send that bad once more)

Or just return it and find a new laptop to buy?

I doubt that you'll see with the Directx tool. It displays the active video card only. The NVS is off when not in use and not seen. There are two ways to check this

(1) in the Device Manager

(2) in the BIOS if it is not enabled as - Nvidia Optimus or Descrete in video options you will not see it.

Ute the Optimus is and has been the setting by default when I got my 520. Other than to support other external adapters, the speed of 4200 M is quite slow and Windows benchmards are faster with the Intel as 4200 M graphics that also uses shared despite having its own memory.

When I turn the computer on the screen is black and blue and is not on. I got it at Home Depot and the Geek Squad and they both said that it is the graphics card and too expensive to fix. I don't know if the graphics card is soldered on the mother board or entity that can be replaced. I'm not ready to throw this beautiful computer and TV tuner. Also, I use a software that is either abandoned or limited to the operating system: Lotus Smartsuite, and Palm.

Can my racing IQ775 Vista set?

    Hello Luanasf

Unfortunately, if your video graphic card is the problem then I would say 'NO', it cannot be replaced. Technically, it may be, but the cost would be such that you would easily buy a new computer or two. It is a draw back to dedicated graphics cards, they are not replaceable. If you have a computer, make sure that you back up your data.

I hope that answers your question. Please bring your question on the Forums of HP. Have a great day!

It seems if I place the same clip (at different times) sequentially on the timeline in CS5 playback stutters really.  Is there a work around for this?  Basically, sometimes I play from beginning and end of part of the same clip, or the same clip at two different times, back to back.   But when I do that the chronology wrong stutters.

You use avchd with cross dissolves? If so, this is a known issue.

Solution: Open Explorer and duplicate the clip you want to use two times.

Import this duplicated clip and use it for the music video of "second."

  • I think that my graphics card is the original BSOD - sort sure?

    • I've been struggling with BSOD for a month now and have reinstalled Vista 3 times. I always get the BSOD with a 116 error code indicating the nvlddmkm.sys. I can start safe mode and I can boot Vista with the graphics driver disabled nVidia. When I have the option to check solutions (after going without failure, following the crash mode), I get a message that the nvidia driver has failed. I tried to download the latest driver from nVidia website, but I still get the BSOD. I ran Diagnostics on the hard drive, processor, memory and motherboard and it passes all these tests. I tried running a diagnostic test on the graphics card twice (with the active pilot) and it crashed the system twice.

So, I think that the card is shot since I was still getting BSOD with the latest drivers. I'm fine with the replacement of the card if it will save my computer, but I don't want to spend the sum of $ if something is wrong with my computer. Are there other tests I need to run on the computer before you buy a new card? Also, should what card I get. I have a HP m9150f with a card Nvidia GeForce 8500. Also, I haven't downloaded Service Packs or updates of Windows (I did the first 2 times I have re-installed and the system still broke). I should install them now or will that complicate things until I get the figurative out graphics card?

      Thank you.

  • SlateBookx2: I closed my session with wrong password and I can connect is no longer

    Hey,.

I blocked my Slatebook session with my usual password before you turn it off. I must have typed wrong twice. Earlier this afternoon, I went from the Tablet, entered the password, and the display shows "wrong password". I've tried dozens of variants (including the cap lock), nothing works.

Is there a way to reset everything, even if that means reformatting of the Tablet?

    Any suggestion is appreciated.

    Thank you

    Hi Sapiens,

I would off the tablet of the keyboard if you are only working with the tablet. Try now the power button and selecting "Power Off" when it appears on the screen. Once the unit is off, follow these instructions to reset the unit to the power off state: factory reset instructions.

  • By using a column twice in a dashboard prompt - selection multiple and wild-carding

My client uses OBIEE 10.1.3.2; It is impossible to pass at this time. However, they want to be able to enter a list of values and a search for wildcard for additional values at the same time for a single column in a row of dashboard.

Since they cannot be upgraded, they do not have the Wildcard feature search function fast multiple selection improved 10.1.3.3 and later versions.

If anyone has found another method to do, perhaps using a column twice in a row of table edge or separate dash invite on the dashboard page, in order to, OR the results of a multiple selection and an edit box (with entry wildcard-matching)? I suspect that this won't work - that the result sets from a command prompt to a column replaces any other games of fast results for the same column.

Has anyone found another way to do this, before his 10.1.3.3 release?

    Yes, it is possible.

This is how to do it:

In your report you need to add two filters on the same column and combine them with OR.
    First filter: is invited.

    Second filter: is as presentation_variable
Then protect this filter! * What will make your prompt is filtered on the Prée variable and it will not be replaced by another invite.

Now create your guest of dashboard:

First add your column with an edit box and attach the presentation variable.
Then edit the formula in the column, so it will not refer to the column more. (Which is not necessary, because the value will be set to the variable Prée.)

Then add the column even with a multiple selection.

Then, test and verify your results.

    Kind regards

  • can I download a "boot drive" for HP Pavilion laptop g6, product #: B0N33PA #ABG?

My laptop failed to update graphics card. I have tried reintalling and installation of different ways a few times with no success. I tried a roll on the last good parameter twice in a row, and since then it has gone from bad to worse.  Now once the computer has windows 7, I get the BSOD. That I can download or buy a boot disk, so I can start over?

    Hello

If you want to reload the operating system, here are some options.

    1. you can order a set of replacement recovery disks using the link below - it will reinstall the operating system, all the drivers, and almost all of the original software (the exception being often tests of MS Office).  They also recreate the original scores, including the recovery Partition - the cost varies a bit depending on where you live, but they are generally inexpensive.

    Order HP recovery disks.

2 another option that you might consider is to create your own Windows 7 installation disc 'detail '.

Before you try the following, make sure that you can always read the character product activation key 25 on your label Windows COA (5 blocks of 5 alphanumeric games).

An example of a COA label can be seen here.

You can create a Windows 7 installation disc yourself using another PC - just download the Disk Image correct ( this must be the same version that originally came with your laptop - it is listed as Windows 7 Home Premium 64 - bit ) from the link below and use an app like ImgBurn ( Note: you can deselect additional software during installation of ImgBurn offerings) to burn the ISO correctly on a blank DVD - a guide on the use of ImgBurn to write that an ISO on a disc is here.  The source of the Windows Image is Digital River.

    Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit SP1.

Use the disk to perform the installation, enter the activation key of Windows on the label of the COA at the request and once the installation is complete, use ' 'phone Method' described in detail in the link below to activate the operating system -this made method supported by Microsoft and is popular with people who want to just have a new installation of Windows 7 without additional software load normally comes with OEM installations.

You may need, additional drivers and software are here.

  • Satellite A200 overheating issues

I got my A200 2.2 GHz Core 2 Duo, 2 x 160 GB in Raid 0, 512 MB ATI Mobility HD2600, 2 GB DDR2 667 around the Christmas period in 2007, since I bought it I had a major problem that has never been corrected under my warranty. Laptop overheating, overheating all playing games, when copying large files or after a few hours of heavy use. I had the graphics card and card mother, or even replaced the cpu, graphics card twice. now I'm no longer under warranty, and the problem starts again. I can't run without it going down.

My options: take it back to harvey norman and try to get them to fix it again
Call toshiba and get them to maintenance for me (they're going to clean the dust out of her charge me two hundred and it will start to play a month later)
by the post here and hope that some toshiba tech can explain a possible bios fan problem, or how to clean myself.

If I don't get help, I think I'll try to get the laptop all replaced by toshiba - see if they'd pay the difference, because they sold me a product defective, reports on this issue are very common online without a solution - they want your using the wrong or something but im drivers everything works the out of the box and it has the same problem.

Ive tried everything, keeping the computer about 6 inches on the desktop but the internal component always on a fire of disks formatted. A friend of mine has a similar problem with another company and they replaced the laptop everything and updated. I hope toshiba can offer me something similar though I am no longer under warranty. However, the components I had replaced 6 months ago problably are still.

so if anyone has a solution or if toshiba could get it please contact me it would be much appreciated.

    Hello

Disassembly manuals are not available on the pages of Toshiba. I guess that they are not for public use. If you need instructions on how then you glasses a bit.
    Maybe you could be successful.

One of my friends has one of the portable Sat A200 and it works without problems.
    It has installed Win XP.
I remember that after installing Win XP, you will need to update the BIOS to the version of Win XP. There are two different versions of BIOS. XP and Vista.

My laptop (Toshiba not a) overheated in the past because of the clogged vents. Circulate fresh air could not t and the internal temperature has arisen at a critical level. I cleaned the vents of the dust and debris with the can of compressed air.
    This helped a little.

But after some time the problem happened again the next local laptop technician, I visited and he disassembled the laptop in order to renew the layer of fat that was placed between the CPU and the cooling fans.
He said that this is necessary if the heat created by the CPU would not drain properly.

After that, my laptop is ok.
Of course I have enough free space around the laptop because it is very important to the circulation air properly!

  • CP 2025 DW: CP2025 - function ceased after updates

I accidentally posted this in the wrong forum, so I re-post here (I hope this is the right place this time!).

The original post is at: http://h30499.www3.hp.com/t5/Windows-7/CP2025-ceased-function-after-updates/m-p/6751297

Hello, I have a laserjet CP2025, which worked fine under xp. Wanting to get the duplex and black only modes for working with Windows 7, I installed the drivers from http://h20565.www2.hp.com/hpsc/swd/public/readIndex?sp4ts.oid=3673589&swLangOid=8&swEnvOid=4063 . I installed the HP Universal Print Driver for Windows PCL6 (64-bit) , then the HP Color LaserJet Firmware Update Utility and then off the printer and the computer. Turn them both back, the printer started displaying that it was "updated" then "full update '.»» The smiley face was a nice touch. He did so twice in a row. Now the printer is listed on the computer under a different name, as a universal printer but I can't seem to print more. He printed this morning before I installed the drivers.

I worked on this all day, (and a lot of research, reading the forums, ext...) so I'll try again tomorrow. If someone could help with this, it would be appreciated. Thank you.

The computer always seems to communicate with the printer but it won't print from any program that I try. Bafling. Thanks for your help!

It took a few days, but I think I fixxed it! Yay!

  • Scammed, or both are true?

26 February: received an interrupt everything online, I recall.  I had a problem in which some help outside required because I am not adapt electronically.  No one pretended to be an entity of "repair" of Microsoft.  Indian dialect.  It was fine with me because I need help and believed him.  No reason to doubt this person that I thought that if he was not part of the family of Microsoft, Microsoft would somehow detect its connection and catch him if he was not truthful.  I paid $358.00 for a 2-year service contract to the care of Advanced System Pro / Systweak / Cleverbridge.  They worked on my computer and came out the kinks.  Good!  I made several calls to the phone number, they had given me, different times of the day and night and they have solved every situation I asked.  Everything seemed to go well.

On 30 March, Comcast (they are my internet connection) flashed a red notice to call a number given, as 'someone' wanted to rip me off.  I phoned this number and ended up with PR American Service, LLC.  They worked on my computer, charging $ 199.99 and said that the holding of Cleverbridge was a scam and that I should try to get my money back.   This company was not available during the night.  (I'm upward at all hours on the computer.)

Every person I talked to was very polite and explained, to some extent, what they were doing.  All of them had Indian accents.

How do we know an honest business of fraud in this area of computing?  Both are legitimate?  Any use, otherwise?

I hope that someone KNOWS the true answer and that he can help me solve this problem.

Cleverbridge is an organization similar to Visa or Mastercard. Many software houses use it as a service of payment for their products. There is nothing wrong with Cleverbridge itself, but it is easily possible that scammers use its services, as fraudsters Mastercard for payment collection. If you have made your payment via Cleverbridge is not entirely clear.

I suspect that you have become the victim of scammers twice in a row. I never opened my machine to an outside organization unless he had a solid reputation as a rock. Much better to post a question here or get the device in for repair to your local PC store. If this is not an option while you could ask respondents in this forum to get recommendations for the name of a reliable support organization.

  • Problem of ink and printer? Office Jet Pro 8500 HP has

Hi I do not know if my printer does not behave as it should. My problem was that I have replaced the ink with new cartridges that had been hanging around for a year. I use those reconditioned. They seem empty cartridges but black on replacement that was totally fine - full. Considering that they were brand new and sealed in the course of the year and stored in a cool trunk of the sweepstakes and the black is beautiful I think it's strange. The printer however kept to work very well during the period that they were supposed to be empty - I've used them for about 1 month and turn off but not frequently. The demand of a portal replaceing may have been accurate as the ink was reduced on paper after this month.

Then, I bought new and put all at the same time. Too, they were recorded as having a tiny amount in them and one with none at all. Once again that black was complete.

The printer has become very strange because sometimes it would take 6 minutes and today 8 minutes to control standard boot "several minutes". Its seems now to clean the printer heads and align them each time and going in circles sometimes 3 times in total, as well as other normal checks. The printer not to protest what either one error other than the ink levels.

I wonder if my source of purchases can be a problem, or is the printer. I want to say that I am against the idea of genuine inks being the only consideration that re-controlled black inks are supposed to be true of the printer itself, although whether re-manufactured that works - but not the other colors.  I have it set to the factory settings under the part of the Tools menu. After that a re factory - set ink levels seem to have nothing bother it at all the same as before.

How can I check if the printer is fine if it seems it's already?

It's ink? It's the ink supplier? Estimates are just completely wrong, that is to say an eighth full (practically nothing) can mean full yet?

I have read the instructions and impliented checks but then I missed something or not doing something that the instructions asked me to do maybe?

Just to be clear, it could be there is a problem of ink repeated twice in a row to bad suppliers from 2 different though unlikely ebay sellers. If ebay buy bad providers to give us a cheaper contract, you have to ask yourself if. They maintain that the inks are high-quality XL stated that are totally compatible inks and good feedback from most of the customers. They are also the ebay powersellers so reliable with quality 99.8% feedback scores.

I think that the mechanisms are not perhaps how the printer heads join or the cartridges of printers join but don't really have a clue. The printer tell me that this is the case.

Should I uninstall the software on my PC and reinstall will this help?

I am confused, I must say - it can be very simple of course good sort.

Thank you all very much appreciated if you can suggest to me what to do that would be good?

Of what you mention about the power, here is a post I wrote to explain what is happening out there:

Regarding the cartridges, if they are genuine HP cartridges, they should all have about a two-year warranty. If you have a cartridge that is not compatible, you can contact our telephone support to have replaced. I generally recommend against the use of cartridges refilled or returned to nine, just to let you know. Of course, you have a perfect right to use and for many customers, they work perfectly well. But a number of cases in the past, I saw the formulation of the ink or incorrect fill methods cause damage in the printer itself. Also, cost-of-page-performance shows that these cartridges are not more effective than the product those HP. Just a word of caution here.

I saw before independent studies that have been conducted by consumer-reports-esque groups that show identical or similar results as our own internal tests. I recommend always to buy HP cartridges and if possible get the XL cartridges (they are more efficient and more profitable savings).

That is the information that you are looking for, or is there more that I can add to you? I designed on what you are interested in having more information.

    Let me know!
