• Unknown error recorder - solved, but not a great solution

  A customer brought me a new laptop has an old mistake: when capturing from a DV camera, body quickly get an "unknown Recorder error" and does not capture. The problem does not manifest during capture in Windows Movie Maker and does happen with 3 cameras from different manufacturers. I already downloaded and installed the 5.0.2 update and am logged on as administrator.

  My solution was to go into the Task Manager and set the process affinity of agency use only the CPU 0. Then capture works perfectly. I know it was a problem with older versions of the elements and the body and equipped with AMD processors. But this laptop (desktop replacement) has a video of 1.5 GB Intel i7 with 8 GB of memory, processor and about 500 GB of free space on the disk at 7200 RPM / min.

  Why this bug has not been overwritten? Yes I can enter on the bug report page, but it has long been known. Has anyone found a better solution than that? (I told the customer it would be better to go without tape, but still...)

  You will notice that it is identical to the solution to your previous question, except that the HAVING clause has changed, and because the fact HAVING clause now refers to l.loss, I added l.loss to the GROUP BY clause.

  This requires that the elements of: str and l.loss are unique. In other words, if the user enters "eyes: the eyes", it will match l.keys 4 and 6, because these keys are 2 times, and there are 2 items in l.loss. If this is a problem, the above query will have changed a little, but only a little.

  The HAVING clause says now that the number of items that match to the must be the number of items in l.loss. How is calculated the number of items in l.loss is similar to the way in which the number of elements in the parameter: str is calculated. However, the earlier motion went to a little trouble in the case: str has been: NULL. I don't know what is necessary, and I guess that's not necessary for l.loss, either.

• I erased my Bootcamp Partition. Now what?

  While messing around with my old drive erasure Time Machine, I managed to delete my my SSD Bootcamp partition.

  I came to terms with the fact that the data is missing. I keep nothing mission critical on windows (so that it is saved).

  The problem I have is that my installation of Windows (10 Pro (Pro 8.1 initially installed on a disk)) is still there. I can hold option when that I start my computer and Windows is an option. When I select it I get a message saying that a file is missing (windows32).

  1. Is there a way I can make a NTFS partition and windows direct to him?
  2. Who will solve the problem? (I think that might force him to re - install Windows on this partition.) (unlikely))
  3. How can I go about removing that this death install?
  4. Should I be reinstall from the disc 8.1, or should I do a new install of Windows 10 with a USB disc?

  In recent months, I'm stalking of audio distortions on my Pavilion dv5-1122eg laptop.

  P/N: NE679EA #ABD

  The notebook was pre-installed with Windows Vista Edition Home Premium x 86, but changed to a new installation of Windows 7 Professional x 64 2010 new year.

  When I hear a music file or an internet radio, I sometimes get these audio distortions.

  Not always, but for example after 20 minutes, I get then one or two ' audio scratches "then maybe again normal play 10 minutes and then again a few scratches. A 'scratch' takes maybe 1/10th of a second.

  In my opinion, the distortion of the sound is produced in this way, the IDT sound card gets a broken audiostream (not more new entrants sound samples) and try to reread the last audio samples of its input buffer. Its sounds like you have a scratch on a vinyl record.

  After reading a few posts from this forum, I started to study more, on this issue, using the tool 'DPC latency checker.

  By turning off all devices in the Device Manager I found out that the Atheros AR5009 WiFi card and JMicron JMB38x card there reader producing latencies of 2ms up to 10 ms.

  Frankly the audio distortion seems not to be produced by WiFi or the card reader.

  Now, the best thing! During sound distortions, I always saw DPC latency greater than 100 ms, but I couldn't really identify which device produced these huge CPD points. (Reminding me only that the "scratch" sound distortion make almost the same amount of time.)

  So I goggled of a tool to consult more these DPC latency. So, I gave the "Windows Performance Toolkit" from the Windows 7 SDK a try.

  After reviewing the data produced from the xperf.exe in the "Windows performance monitor" I chose the CPD huge spikes and opened the Table summary of them.

  In addition, it seems that the scsiport.sys & storport.sys produce this huge spikes!

  After all it would be a problem with the SATA controller, since the apears to DVD & HD player a list of SCSI in Device Manager. I also use the "AMD AHCI Compatible RAID controller driver" of the Support & drivers.

  I also use v5.4.3.2 Virtual Clone Drive to read some ISO files, but I uninstalled them for a month (but there is always the VClone.sys in C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\).

  So before making a little further I ask if there is a known problem with SCSI or SATA on Windows 7 x 64?

  My next steps would be to others:

  Delete all other things in Virtual Clone Drive (e.g. VClone.sys) and perhaps restore the scsiport.sys with my DVD of Windows 7 Windows Repair Console.

  Today, I used another tool that could be found in C:\Windows\System32\. It's called "Verifier" (simply type in Start-> auditor + Enter).

  I leave then run it on all the drivers on my system, that were not of Microsoft.

  It seems that my current drivers are all stable rock. I don't have no BSOD when running Driver Verifier.

  But I discovered that my Avira AntiVir where also the use also 2 drivers (avgntflt.sys & avipbb.sys). These are not normally listed in Device Manager.

  As always on Sunday at 11:00 my AntiVir began a search of virus. In the background, I also ran the DPC latency checker, and there he goes...

  While AntiVir where looking for the virus latency Checker showed me the upper tips of 400ms!

  Now that was also remind me that AntiVir has also a 'Guard' still active scanner.

  So I simply uninstalled the program Avira AntiVir and tested more away while listening to music files if distortions where still there. Well, it seems that they have decreased a lot, but there are still a few witch random sound distortions are much shorter!

  It seems that while Avira AntiVir as an x 86 application can run properly on a x 64 OS, drivers 'scan' provided by Avira are somewhat foires for it.

  So I recommend to all those who have sound distortions on a Windows x 64 operating system check by installing antivirus program!

  I now use Microsoft Security Essentials, which is an application of true x 64 for the moment.

  Yet there is no complete solution, I consider more on this subject.

  I found the solution by myself!

  Random DPC latency tips (~ 100 ms) disappeared after I returned from the ' AMD AHCI Compatible RAID Controller Driver ' originally from Microsoft "Standard AHCI 1.0 Compatible SATA Controller'' pilot!

  Follow these steps:

  1. Press the Windows key, the 'device manager' type and select Device Manager.
  2. In Device Manager, look for AMD AHCI Compatible RAID Controller Driver and select it.
  3. Right-click on it and choose Uninstall. Response message with Yes and restart the computer.
  4. After Windows has restarted, it should recognize your hard drive and ask another reboot.

  In the device manager should now be a 'Standard AHCI 1.0 Compatible SATA Controller"under"IDE ATA/ATAPI Controller. With this driver, everything must be executed very well!

  No more huge DPC spikes Besides these product the WiFi card.

  And finally no more don't sound distortion !

  Other information (not required for the solution):

  Since the notebook dv5-1122eg is based on the platform of "Puma" to AMD (Griffin CPU + RS780M + SB700) I tried to install the new drivers from the http://game.amd.com site.

  AMD is making it very difficult to find the AHCI driver, and it seems that they raise their site with a new design where you even can not find the "Drivers of AMD Southbridge" package more!

  I tried the Catalyst 10.6 "AHCI Driver" because it is illogical to use a RAID driver on a notebook where you can not even put an extra hard drive in it!

  After I downloaded the file, I have to extract the contents to the folder by default, but abandoned then the ATI Installation Manager.

  The Installation Manager has not recognized the SB700 southbridge AHCI controller! So I have to do it manually through the Device Manager, select the controller AHCI and update the device driver by choosing a custom location (the already extracted files).

  The new driver is presented as "AMD SATA Controller", is bugs (DPC latency) and S.M.A.R.T. readings also work.

  To enable the NCQ feature, go to the branch of the registry:

  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\services\amdsbs\Settings\CAM\

  and set the "NCQEnableDiskIDBits" value to 00000001.

  Note: The exposed conductor TelePresence conference type is not supported in Cisco TMS. Only models conference using the conference meeting type are supported.

  Agreed! The driver of the telepresence really is a great product.

  Because the feature was never implemented on the side TMS. It was decided that the other characteristics are more important and should be a priority. There is nothing on the type of conference 'Read' which is inherently incompatible with the TMS, but work needs to be done first.

  Examples:

  • The control of conference centre: you will probably see the entries in double Conference if you are using a 'read' conference
  • TMS does not differentiate between the presidents and guests during the creation of scheduled conferences 'Conference' on the conductor.

  None of them are very difficult to solve from a development point of view, but they are not trivial to apply or test either.

  Does Cisco have plans to fix that?
  

  Nothing specific is planned, don't. As always: if it is a problem to your customer, make a request to feature through your account manager or another Cisco point of contact.

  The guide is related to Conductor XC1-2 and TMS 14-1, has any thing been changed  in TMS 14.2.2 and XC2.1?

• Linking PDF files without losing the display focus on the anchor link

  Imagine that I have two PDF files. One is a short letter which is long about 3 pages. The other is a long letter. Short letter cites specific paragraphs in a long letter (not pages). I want to put a link on the top of each reference, such as when you click on the link in a short letter, it opens on the correct paragraph in a long letter and through short letter. I have tagged each paragraph in the letter along with a bookmark and I plan on manual associate quotes bookmarks.

  What would be the best way to achieve this? I played with function of linking Acrobat x and I looked in the creation of a workbook. However, I can't find a great solution. Ideally, I would like to make a link to the bookmark so that the user does not lose their place in the short letter; either with a 'back' button, by overlaying the content in some way, or by opening the second document in a new window.

  I fairly accurately described the situation, but it is the function that would be useful frequently.

  Just me Moguls here.

  PDF bookmarks do not "tag" something in a PDF file. Bookmarks provide a phletora of the shares. One of them must take the user to a specified page.

  Combine a page view setting with that of spice up the destination of the link.

  For your desired process consider the desired destinations named in paragraph Long-letter creation. Configure appropriate bookmark to go there.

  You can assemble PDFs (and other files supported) in a portfolio. Remember that Portfolios depend on Flash and which includes the appearance of how the trade winds blow it seems that Flash is heading for disapproval.

  You can combine several PDF files into one. However, all of the links created between a Short letter to a Long letter will be broken. Of course, combining you broke 'em (you have created a single new PDF file, and each of those links required two PDF files (a 'from' and a 'to').)

  If you have two files ('from' and 'to'), and then configure the link as the destination file opens in a separate file. With the file 'to' just and close it. The "de" PDF is always open. Or use the functionality of previous display of Acrobat / Reader. The link led on the 'of' PDF above in the "to" PDF. Do? Use the previous view and return to 'to' (a whirlwind of tutu?).

  Easier to implement what you want in the PDFS created if a robust application is used. InDesign is nice, FrameMaker is my preference.

• Premiere Pro Mac - VST and Audio Unit Support - something not going...

  I have run on Mac Lion body.

  I AM aware of the fact that the BODY is a 64-bit application.

  Adobe doesn't seem to be aware that most audio jacks are 32-bit.

  Reason for this is that it takes very little for a simple compressor or EQ to be able to deal with more than 2 GB of RAM ;-)

  So most professional Daw (Digital Audio Workstations) that are 64-bit IMPLEMENTS a bridge that allows the application to use 32-bit Audio effects.

  I own and operate a studio and beta-test for a large number of suppliers VST/AudioUnit. None of them (the most important) are considering 64 bit, any time soon.

  So I'm missing the obvious and I CAN use 32-bit VST/Audio Units in body on Mac - or adobe needs to address this ASAP.

  If not, well, all relying on audio effects will DO NOT change audio sound in body?

  I hope that I'm missing what is quite obvious, I mean, all other NLEs have GREAT solutions for Audio effects - in the BODY, I am confined to the effects audio adobe who are not really comparable to those taken audio professional.

  Any advice would be great...

  This is the exact reason that I mentioned hearing. African Union is 32 bit and has no problem with 32-bit VST, but PR, 64-bit, needs a VST bridge or 64-bit. And IN 32 bits, like many other applications of the Master Collection.

• iCloud photo library and FIRST photos in iOS

  I would like to enable capture of RAW files in iOS 10. I have a 256 GB 7 iPhone +, but at 30 MB per DNG, storage will be used quickly if I don't get the photos on the phone regularly.

  It is true that I am still unclear on iCloud photo library works. I activated on my iPhone, but I think it means it stores the photos on the phone and also downloads in the cloud?

  iCloud is a synchronisation/mirroring service and not a traditional cloud solution based.  If you are looking for a more traditional based cloud solution, then consider using an application third, for example Dropbox, Flickr or Google Photos.

  If you store large amounts of data, it is preferable to use an SSD with a different drive.

  the SSD should contain your OS applications and kernel, but if you are working with smaller text documents, spreadsheets and PowerPoints on the SSD storage do not have a lot to worry about and you can use data optimally with the speed that the SSD offers on HARD drive.

  If you work with raw files of creative cloud, hi-res photography, video, Audio recording, a lot of family photos or a great iTunes collection consider a second disc more to keep these files on your SSD.

  You can install an SSD that fits, but more large size disks are replacements for what you put there so you cannot pass a 128 'largest capacity SSD' than it is currently, you must purchase a 256 or 512 or 1 to and remove your 128 system.

  Thanks, Guigs. That has not worked? Well, to be honest, I wasn't sure what we were trying to accomplish. I made has not been synchronized on the (obsolete) account, and then tried to sync via the menu of regular synchronization, he received the same message. bad login and password... ARGH! No warning sign or anything.

  Good news, however, I got to work. Simply, I took off my PC Sync menu and resigned to the top with an email alias. Then, once he's confirmed, I went to my android and it took one with the password. SO weird?

  Therefore, in any case, all resolved and I can now synchronize between my devices, but not a great solution if you have not alias emails you need to remember to use in the future.

• How can I configure out of office responses on OSX Server

  In the last update, (24), or CTRL + T or by pressing the "+" on the work of tab bar to get a new tab. Nothing happens. I use this for years on all other versions without problem. I can get a new tab by holding the CTRL key and choosing a link on the current page. (Not a great solution).

  To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before using the shortcut of Firefox (without the Shift key) to open it again.

  If it's good in Firefox Safe mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to understand that one.
