Why do I get a green screen with no video only sound?  Is this a driver problem?

    Hello

Try a new installation of the Flash plug-in as follows.

First, download the Flash uninstall utility on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

    Flash Player Uninstaller.

Once the download is complete, close all the browser windows, open your downloads folder and run the program uninstaller.  Once done, restart the laptop.

Then (unless you already have it), download and install Firefox , then using Firefox, download and install the latest version of Adobe Flash. Note: You can deselect the option to include McAfee Security Scan Plus before downloading.

Close all browser windows before you run the installer of Flash.

Start Firefox and see if the videos etc. play Ok in this browser - if they do, close Firefox, open Internet Explorer and click on the same link Adobe Flash above to get a command prompt to install the Flash component.  Once completed, restart Internet Explorer.

  • Only get sound and a green screen when playing videos in MS Edge

Hi, I have recently upgraded to Windows 10 and were not able to watch videos in the edge browser.  I get a green screen and his only.  I tried the guide troubleshooting, but when I right click to bring up the flash player settings there is no tab display.  I also have Chrome installed and videos play fine in it.  The view tab appears in the flash player settings when using Chrome.  Any help with this would be appreciated.  Thank you.  Flash Player version: 18.0.0.232

    Hi Jason

    Thanks for providing the dxdiag.

To disable hardware acceleration, just add the threshold at the end of the file (mms.cfg):

    DisableHardwareAcceleration = 1

Also, while your changes if you get an error similar to: "the file is already in use", follow the procedure; below

1 copy the file to another location(for eg desktop)

    2. then make the necessary changes, then save the file

    3. copy the file to the original location.

    Thank you

  • I try to use a green screen in my video.

I can get the green to disappear, but I don't know how to make an image pop up in its place, I tried dragging. But it does not work. How to make a background image instead of the green screen and video

Put the background scene on the right path V1.

Put on the forground (the clip with the greenscreen) V2 directly on the background scene located on the V1.

When you enter the Green, this region will become transparent and reveal the stage located on the V1 track.

  • Do not play L850D WMP and VLC player video but audio satellite

    Hello

I have a L850D running Windows 7 and all of a sudden the windows media player, VLC does not play the video file but reads the audio file.
When you use youtube video playback.

    Anyone have any ideas?

    Exactly which files are affected?

Video files work correctly in the past?

If this isn't the case, then I think that you have had this problem because of the missing codec.
If the files worked correctly in the past, then the problem may occur because you have installed or removed some codec from the system.

Maybe you should check if you can return to the point where they are all worked fine catering.

I'm banging my head against the wall on this. wanting to see instructional videos on youtube, but all I get is audio, I have studied this problem and the problem seems to be with the version of the flash player. I installed the most recent version, installed it uninstalled and installed again, have tried in Explorer solutions and chrome and have the same problem.

This for a few days now, sometimes it works and most of the time it isn't. any ideas? HEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLPPPPPPPPPP!

  • Firefox does not display videos, but will be Chrome/IE.

It's all in the title really. FF does not appear videos. In Youtube, the screen is black, apart from the red button 'play' in the middle. When I click on play it says "an error has occurred." In all the other video sites, video section is empty, white. I have uninstalled/reinstalled Firefox and Adobe Flash Player. Firefox is also fully updated.

Hey mick3690, this is probably due to the recent update of the plugin to version 11.3 adobe flash. It has caused similar problems for many other users (chrome & IE get provided with a different version of the plugin by adobe).

You can try to remove flash 11.3 of the section of the configuration/program windows downgrade to an earlier version & Control Panel, until adobe fixes these problems.

  • Green screen only on videos

I'm trying to follow the instructions to uncheck "Enable hardware acceleration" problems of thread for the same problem... but when I right click and go to settings, it is not an option for the display settings. I am running windows 8 and checked that I have the latest version of Flash Player.

Flash Player for IE 10 in Windows 8 is "integrated" by Microsoft and updated via Windows update.

I would say running Windows Update to see if that changes anything. If not, try a repair of Internet Explorer by the instructions here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/318378

  • Important: Only the first 1% of the video, but audio full

    Hello

I tried in vain to import video files of different formats such as MJPEG, MP4. However, MPEG and WMV it always seems to work.

The phenomenon is, after you import the video file when it plays in the preview window or points in the sequence, the first 1% of the video is stretched to full video length, as this translates into "extreme slow motion" effect. The audio is however very well.

What can I do to work around this problem and make these files to be imported normally?

    Phil

Try again with MainConcept or Morgan MJPEG codecs. That may do the trick.
