    Hi Angel-Moon,

    Hope you do well,

Here are some links that will help you to recover the key provided in advance of the running configuration configuration

The more command to decrypt the password does not support the old codes of PIX

The other way is to copy the configuration to a TFTP server running

It is often easier to start over and rebuild the network using the info

One of the easiest ways to share files is to use public folders.
Access check there is a good way to determine if at least the

    Concerning

    Tash

    Hello Tash

    Two ways to achieve this:

    1. If you have access to CLI (SSH / Telnet) to the ASA, you can use the command 'net write' to clear the config to offshore to an external TFTP server. This should have all the passwords VPN in clear text (unlike what happens if you do a "show run").

    2. If this is a Cisco IPSEC VPN client (by using the Cisco client), you can recover the password if you have a copy of the. Profile of FCP installed on remote client computers. While the group password is encrypted in this file it can be decrypted by various tools available on the Internet.

  • Why my password won't work unless I reboot?

My password for my Macbook Pro will not work after that my laptop goes to sleep - until I reboot the machine. Then, it works perfectly and gives me a message asking if I would like for applications that were open before they reopen. Whenever my machine goes to sleep, I have to restart to recover to use. Any suggestions on what is happening? Obviously, my password work. It is just hung up somehow the first time I try to use it.

You can try to change your password to see if that will fix it. You can do this in the System Prefs / users and groups / password.

If you are not not worried about security, you can set it to automatic session opening, in the System Prefs / users and groups / Connection Options

    Good evening

I am trying to solve a problem that I've had for the last few days. In fact, when I go to users and groups and click on 'change password', I don't get the option "use iCloud password. It was working fine until I did a factory reset. I did the recovery erased my entire drive, then reinstalled the operating system. Happen if is that he sent me back to the Mavericks of OS and then I've upgraded to El Capitan. Would it be the reason that the option does not appear? I tried everything I could think of. Signature to an exit to iCloud. I even changed my password to iCloud. I have reset my keychain. I even spoke in support, and they could really help me. Please let me know.

Users and groups > password > change password not allowing to change your Mac administrator password not your iCloud password (Apple ID).

  • My windows account will open when the bad (or no) password. I tried the reset and change passwords.

I have Vista Home Premium with Service Pack 2. I deleted the password and then created a new. It asks for the password, however, still little matter what is typed, unlocks the account.

    Any thoughts?

  • Adding table to an existing group

I am trying to remote installation wizard allows you to add a PS6210x to an existing PS6000 with a PS6210xs group. I have successfully added tables the same group with RSW in the past, but I get an error this time on a bad group password. I logged in with this password manager, so I know that it is correct.

The new table has firmware 8.1 and tables in the existing group always run 7.1.x. Is it possible that in fact is the problem and I just need to update the old firmware to table first?

    Thank you.

    1. you use the user 'grpadmin' to connect to the GroupMgr, but this password may be another. Especially over a long period a customer may change the password for grpadmin but forget to change the GroupPW.

Within GrpMgmr klick on group-> Member-> Set Password to set a new GroupPW. You don't need to know the old man!

    2. Yes, at the end of the day all members must be at the same level of FW, but this should not be your problem right now.

We upgade existing members first of all for the course prior to FW, adding new members. We are also new members in a 'maintenance' pool to be sure that no data migration starts automatically.

    Kind regards

  • homegroup password problem

I want to homegroup, I did several times before, but in my new laptop I can't do it, because he request home group password and if I click on show the password it flashes anything and just the same I can't even change the password as the ability to change the password is also remove disappear I didn't know why...

Homegroup is entirely a configuration of permissions and has no associated data. There is also no defined main computer, they are all the same status.

The simplest thing is to remove all the computers in the homegroup, restart all and then re-create the homegroup by creating the 1 PC then join each Homegroup again.

  • Best way to integrate the Macbooks with Windows AD

    Hi guys,.

I'm really new to the Mac platform!

I'm a windows administrator and I have around 30-40 MacBooks in my organization. I want to join all the MacBook to windows active directory and all users need to connect with their AD accounts.

I saw an option in the client machines to join the domain. but its getting removed from the field after two or three days.

I got to know that mac has a server version and it has a feature of Directory Service. Could one of you give me an idea about this feature, and I can use this feature to add my MacBook to Windows Active Directory.

    Help, please.

    Thank you

    Mouelhi

Welcome to the fold.  In General, if you have the AD, you do want to reinvent the wheel by also deploying OD.  While OS X Server can play a role in an AD environment, to use for authentication and authorization is not a good plan.  You end up decentralization accounts/groups/password which is what AD is there for in the first place.

If you link and everything works for a while, I suspect that you may need to adjust the binding registration password reset.  When you bind a device to the domain, the registration of the computer saves a password in the two AD and Mac.  By default this password will be randomly pull every 14 days.  In some environments AD result is a problem where the Mac "will fall the area" exactly 14 days after the link.

To test this theory, bind a Mac.  After binding, run this command on the Mac to set the password reset registration link forever reset:

    sudo dsconfigad - passinterval 0

Wait 15 days.  If you are always connected to the field, it's your problem.

Run a dsconfigad man to check other hidden options.  Not everything is presented in the directory utility, and certainly not in system preferences.

If this isn't the issue, I suggest you look in odutil.  With this command, you can enable the logging of directory services debugging.  You can reveal the issue with the drop off the coast.

(It has been my experience that the Mac is usually not the issue - it tends to be a DNS or the issue of time that cause the problem - are all of your Mac in sync with AD DCs for time?)

  • Questions, communicate with a Windows domain controller

I thought at first my user had a problem with Keychain and had finally called Apple Tech Support.  While on the line with Apple, we proved that it was not a question of Keychain, but rather a problem of communication with a windows domain controller. The key elements are:

    * Multiple users and Macs are members of an Active Directory multi-domain forest

    * iMac is a 27-inch, mid-2011w / 8 GB RAM

    * OS X 10.11.2 (updated 10.11.3)

    * Question appears isolated to this iMac (currently). All other iMac, Macbook Pro and Mac Pro is currently very well, several VIRTUAL LANs, and a MacBook connected to the connection of network iMacs can communicate properly with the domain.

    * iMac seems not to contact no matter what domain controller when connecting, but connects to the resources of the network and domain controllers, after login. Permissions and access to the resources appear normal after login.

    * User (s) cannot change passwords for mobile accounts or login with new mobile accounts, but accounts/passwords cached work very well.

    * iMac uses Symantec EndPoint Protection for Mac (anti-virus) – REQUIRED BY THE POLICY.  I can't change.  I have come off for the test, but must replace as soon as the test is completed. This policy is set at a level about five grades of remuneration above me.

    * It isn't really everything off the coast of the wall software installs on the computer.  The full Adobe Creative Cloud subscription is responsible, but so it is on just about every other mac I support.

The steps that have taken place:

    (1) about a month ago, the user went to change his password, but wouldn't go to change password at the login window.  We were able to change their password on the network and could use the new password to connect to the network Active Directory controlled resources. We can connect to resources network successfully with the new password, after we connect locally with the old password.

    (2) we get the red ball (the network resources are not available) to the login window. We are basically connecting with identification and passwords cached information.

    (3) if we try to change their password through the system preferences / users and groups / / password Chang, we get the message that no domain controller is available.

    (4) initially thought that it was a matter of trousseau, and we ended up calling Apple support, since Keychain first aid is no longer available in 10.11. Apple-Advisor while that remote, showed where it was not a question of Keychain because we could not change the password on the domain, because the iMac didn't communicate with a domain controller.

    (5) while on the phone with Apple, we reset SMC and NVRAM without success.

    (6) If you are going to untie the iMac in the domain, a message that the system cannot communicate with a domain controller.

    (7) today, thinking that maybe there was a hardware problem with the ethernet connection, tried to use the private WiFi network. Still would not communicate with a controller domain, but, as if using the wired, could connect to network resources. This happens independently attempted account.

    (8) used a MacBook on its network without any problem, it is not the connection port or switch

    (9) moved his iMac to another connection on one VLAN different. Same question.

I'm open to suggestions. I have two days to work on this subject, around the planning of production of the user, while I'm off site for a week.

    10) thinking that maybe it was something that happened with 10.11.2, he improved to 10.11.3 today. No change.

I don't want to try to clean and recharge its iMac, in the hope that this clears up the issue.

    ANY SUGGESTIONS?

    A few additional tests.

    (1) Symantec deleted using Symantec CleanWipe, without modification. Has been reinstalled after additional tests and a reinstallation of the operating system.

    (2) being ran reports, visualization and research now, but nothing is really coming out as noticeable. Only problem seems to be a helper of Adobe

    (3) use a bootable USB key and had no problem with the thumb drive version, this isn't somehow a hardware problem.

    4) entered the recovery partition and the re-installed El Capitan, in the hope that perhaps, is a pilot or something in the protocol stacks have been corrupt, a reinstall would correct. Reinstall has not corrected the problem.

I'm really strongly leaning towards here is something in a plist or somewhere configuration file that is corrupted, but I don't know where this would be right now.  Will continue research and testing. Last resort will be a wipe up to bare metal and a clean install. I will not migrate the profile of the user, but only its working files.

  • Does not access my shared folders on the computer windows 7 from my xp pro laptop

I have an operating system windows 7 on my main pc and xp pro on my laptop. When I try to access the files on my main pc (windows 7) from my xp pro laptop wonder a user name and password. Yet when I do it the other way round I have full access to any password ect. I have set no password and tried my home group password but not yet all joy. I have 2 other laptops, both running windows 7 and no network problem between all windows systems 7. all computers are running norton firewall and are configered the same.

Would love a fix that makes me NUTS!

Problems sharing files between computers on a network are usually caused by 1) a misconfigured firewall or a firewall neglected (including a dynamic firewall in a virtual private network); or (2) inadvertently run two firewalls such as the firewall of Windows and a third-party firewall. and/or (3) do not have accounts to the same users and passwords on all computers in the workgroup. (4) tries to create actions where the operating system does not.

In Windows 7, go to control panel > everything in Control Panel > network and sharing Center. Click on "change the advanced sharing settings. You do not use the homegroup unless you have all Windows 7 machines . Windows 7 network type should be 'Home' or 'Work', not 'public '. In sharing advanced:

Discovery of plug in the network
Open the files and printers sharing
Turn on the sharing section Public folder sharing
    Plug the password protected sharing

    A. configure the firewall on all machines to allow traffic to local area network (LAN) as being approved. With the Windows Firewall, turning on window file sharing and printer as the above will take care of that for you. In XP, you can run the Network Setup Wizard or just enable file sharing / print in the Windows XP firewall exceptions. If you are not running a third-party firewall or you have an antivirus/security with its own firewall component program, then you're fine.  With a third-party firewall, I usually set up the allocation of LAN with an IP address range. E.g. would be 192.168.1.0 - 192.168.1.254. Obviously you would substitute your correct subnet. Refer to the safety of any third party program or the user forums for how to correctly configure its firewall. Do not run more than one firewall. DON'T STOP FIREWALLS; CONFIGURE THEM CORRECTLY.

    (B) to facilitate the Organization, put all computers in the same workgroup. This is done from the System applet in Control Panel, the computer name tab.

    C. create the counterpart of the user accounts and passwords on all machines. You do not need to be logged into the same account on all machines and assigned to each user account passwords can be different; accounts/passwords just need to exist and to match on all machines. DO NOT NEGLECT TO CREATE PASSWORDS, EVEN IF ONLY OF SIMPLE. If you want a machine to boot directly to the desktop (a particular user account) for convenience, you can do this:

Start > Search box > type: netplwiz [Enter]
Click continue (or provide an administrator password) when you are prompted by UAC

Uncheck "users must enter a user name and password to use this computer". Select a user account to connect automatically by clicking on the account you want to highlight and press OK. Enter the password for this user account (when it exists) when you are prompted. Leave blank if there is no password (null).

XP - set up Windows to automatically connect (MVP Ramesh) -http://windowsxp.mvps.org/Autologon.htm

    D. Si one or more of the computers on your network are XP Pro or Media Center, turn off Simple file sharing (Folder Options > view tab).

    E. create share as you wish. In Windows 7 I usually share the Desktop of the user and the Public directory.

    F. you have the job of file sharing (and tested by exchanging a file between machines), if you want to share a printer connected locally to one of your computers, share of this machine. Then go to the printer mftr Web site. and download the latest drivers for the correct system. Install them on the target machines. The printer must be collected during the installation procedure. If this isn't the case, install the drivers and then use the Add Printer Wizard. In some cases, printers must be installed as local printers, but that is beyond the scope of this answer.
