GSM modem
Hello
I would like to work on the GSM modem, as I face a problem connecting with her...
first of all, I tried to connect my modem gsm with sms vi. but I found that there is no communication between the two...
Normally, when we choose the VISA resource com port after connected with the mobile PHONE, it will appear a small icon behind the number of COM port... However I don't see...
Second, I tried to 9600 baud rate to run the command, even if it does not, after I change baud rate to 115200, the GSM modem can send messages but the noise of the chain to know show the command... (normally will show the AT command and 'ok')
Does anyone know what happens please share your experience with me, look forward to your response before...
Thank you very much.
better compliance

Communication of VISA with connected USB GSM modem using a protocol AT
Hello, I am writing an application that should send sms messages.i have a connected USB GSM modem that supports the PROTOCOL. The modem works by using its own software and the HyperTerminal.I have used VISA driver development Wizard to create the .inf file. The device is now recognized and registered to the MAX. However, I can't understand how to code the commands and read the responses using write VISA and VISA read. Thanks for the help, Dima
The last thing you should have to do is create an INF with the wizard. Remove completely and the compiled version. What you want to do is to use the inf file supplied with the device which a serial port to the BONE and makes it usable with Hyperterminal. It should appear in MAX as a serial port. Once you have restored all the way it is, then you can start with the examples of series and writing to it should work as it did in Hyperterminal. In other words, simply send the chain of command.

SMS alerts by using the local GSM modem and smstools v2
Hello
I know there have been some discussions (ish) similar to this before, but I can't find the answer I'm looking for.
I have Hyperic HQ installed 4.0.3 on a computer with a connected GSM modem and smstools installed. I know the SMS feature works because I tested sending a message using smstools and I am also able to receive messages.
My question is this, how do I change the sms_email.gsp file send it an email to smstools so smstools can use the email2sms script.
If someone managed to get this to work already?
Kind regards
AndrewThis is the groovy... it broke when I tried to enter it in my post.

LabVIEW, how to check if GSM texted successfully
Hi all
This is a difficult question.
Here I have a VI for message send using a GSM modem, but after sending, I want to know if this gas SMS successfully sent or not?
Some said after sending, the GSM will give an acknowledgement, to inform the user of the State accrediting.
So here's my question, how can I check if the previous message has been sent successfully or not?
How connect you to the modem via AT commands or by using a DLL?
What brand / model of the modem?

I'm looking for the third order intercept point
How to find the point of interception of third order of my iphone 6? There is a sheet with all the technical specifications in relation to the my phone gsm modem. Thank you
No, Apple does not publish or release this level of technical specifications to the public. Since the 3rd order intercept is a purely mathematical concept for such low power as a smart phone device, I imagine that these kinds of data are unknown outside of Apple's own engineering group (or Foxconn I guess)?
-
Hi all..
As a beginner with Labview, I was very happy to have these forums to help me with many questions, other positions.
Although this time I could not find an answer, so here.
I'm a VI that will allow me to send messages SMS from my computer. My computer is connected to a GSM modem, and there's a Subvi, which controls the serial connection.
The problem I have now is that my button to send orders (the one that activates the structure of my case) will not activate. I tried to add a LED to see if that would show anything, but it made no difference. The LED is not turning on.
Basically what I do, is I have a textfield for the number of beneficiaries that adds "at + cmgs = + 45 ' in front of her and the ascii value of hex 0 D after her. Then a textfield for the message, where I add the ascii value of the hexagonal 1 eventually has to send.
This configuration works in smaller steps, like Sms_Send3, but it is Sms_send5 that I have problems with it.
Any ideas? :-)
Edit: Minor typo fault
Edit: If I add an indicator to the while loop, it seems that while the loop is not running at all?
I realized I could do what I wanted to do with a sequence...
It's a little embarrassing for having discovered it was something so simple.
Thanks a lot for your help though guys... Appreciate it :-)
Kind regards...

[rs232.h] ComRd (-) slow performance
Dear users,
I am a student in electronic engineering of approach to obtaining his diploma with a thesis on the absolute error in gsm positioning.
I create the server application to receive an sms (at THE controls of a Siemens TC35 gsm module connected rsr232) with the RAD_ERROR_NOCONTENT information by the mobile station of the client, to develop them in order to send (using API) Google to retrieve the position with a given RAD_ERROR_NOCONTENT.
I meet a lot of problem with ComRd which is quite slow, for example in the configuration of the connection, I need six blocks like this (one for each parameter) and total execution takes more than 15 seconds:
**********************************************************************
FlushInQ (ComPort);
strcpy (writeBuf, "at clip plus 1\r"); Presentation of the identification of the appellant
ComWrt (compote, writeBuf, strlen (writeBuf));
Delay (0.2);
ComRd (compote, readbuf, 10); ATTENTION! Slow down execution, even with 'ComRdTerm (compote, readBuf, 10, 0)';
If (! findstr (readBuf, "OK", & indexBuf)) setErr = 0; check if OK responded**********************************************************************
Breakpointed to the first statement and follows step by step execution, if any other statements are executed immediately, on ComRd it takes seconds. even if reading only 10 bytes. Even if I use ComRdTerm until the 0 (null).
I can't explain why, reading only ten bytes of rs232 buffer, it takes so long. There is no time-out problem, the command is not hanging from something else!
Can someone help me please?
Thank you
Luca Gallucci
Hi Luca,
You needn't 0.2 seconds after the call to ComWrt.
You can directly call the ComRd, the time it takes for the GSM modem process your order and the answer is actually tolerated by the value of timeout of the port, which can be set by the SetCommTime function.
It is possible that you are missing the answer during this wait 0.2 second.
I highly recommend use ComRdTerm, because you may know exactly how many bytes will be after an AT command and this can cause problems because he must give the number of bytes to read into the port when you use ComRd.
But it is guaranteed that a response of AT command will end with a CR or LF.
Let's not how you call ComRdTerm. You must use CR or LF as end, not NULL character.
The GSM modem will never send you a NULL character, then the function will wait until the read operation times out (because it cannot end on a NULL value), where the downturn in behavior complained.
I hope I could make myself clear.

Hello
I would like to move some of our servers the 1.06 Server vm to esxi 3.5. All the vm is running centos 5.2.
I have yet 2 servers to convert, because of the physics of the serial ports not supported in esx.
The first has an analog modem on ttyS0, secondary had a GSM modem on ttyS0.
As far as I know, it is not possible to connect a usb device to a virtual computer on esxi (or at least, I can't add a usb controller), so usb & lt;-& gt; series converters are not a viable option.
For the modem, I thought internally. Are there compatible models, so that I should look at?
For the GSM modem, I thought the series & lt;-& gt; ethernet converters. Is there a pro/consfor those?
Thank you
Giuliano
For USB devices, we use USB to Ethernet that works really well and is much better than plug in USB devices in any server.
I don't think its possible to get a serial through ESX device, is it USB-> Serial converter? If you can you use it in conjunction with the USB to Ethernet

When I try to connect to a modem GSM receives the error:
"Network connection based on a mobile broadband connection failed with the error code: 1.(GSM card works properly in other devices)
Hello
According to the Microsoft Knowledge base, the error code 1 means that the device is not configured correctly.
One of the reasons why the device isn't configured correctly might be missing a driver or the driver / software are configured incorrectly.Recommend you to check the configuration.

Mobile phone as modem Bluetooth for SP6100
Does anyone know how to get my K700i to work as a modem for my 6100 SatPro via Bluetooth? What are the settings required on the SP6100?
Hello
I did a long time ago, but I'll try to help you.
1.) entry GSM as modem in the modem list
Start > Control Panel > phone and modem options > tab Modems > Add
(I'm not sure but is must be set to 6 COM)
2.) create a new connection > under step select a device select your mobile phone. Watch all the ISP phone number
3.) activate the Bluetooth and start Toshiba Bluetooth service Center
4.) on your mobile phone, you must start option for Bluetooth communication with external devices
5.), click field glass symbol and try to check the specifications of the region
Remote devices choose 6). If the mobile phone is listed, try to connect it to 6 COM using the Connect buttonSorry if I forgot something. It is many years ago I used my mobile phone as a modem.
Good luck!

4.4.2 modem quick dormancy question
Motorola will provide a fix for the bug of dormancy fast modem on 4.4.2 related to the use of this phone on GSM networks? I believe that this issue is related to random restarts, the screen turns don't no about sometimes, excessive battery drain and general instability. This bug makes it extremely problematic use on GSM networks. I'll have to get a different phone if it fixes itself.

Details on the modem Helix WWAN mobile broadband?
I buy a propeller for more use in Africa. I'm curious if the included modem works on the bands out there. There is not much details given on the order page. The country that I will use the GSM 900 frequency band. I'm guessing that their 3G networks could be on a different band?
In any case, any ideas if the mobile broadband modem will work abroad?
Thank you!
Seth
My modem is not locked to any medium.
Just be very careful, if you buy a non 3G model, it will probably have the WWAN antenna and no slot for sim card. And then you can buy a Lenovo modem, otherwise it will not work if it is not on the whitelist.
I could call a sales representative in the United States and see if you can buy a version with unlocked modem.
