guarantee of Windows - unsolicited phone calls
I saw someone ask a question, which is pretty close to what I wanted to ask you, but I have seen no response to this. I'll give you what is new: "I got the same call phne but unfortunately I let have access to my computer." I wonder would they did anything on my computer? They showed me all warnings and errors. »

I got several phone calls a month, a "representative" of "universal routing. They told me that my personal data were in danger of being exposed, Windows on my computer is not updated or error messages pop up. They want to get on my computer and will help me to solve these problems. I told them that I have 3 computers, who are they to talk. They said that with the Windows 7 operating system... I don't have a computer with Windows 7. They have my name, my husbands name & name of my mother and telephone number. I told them that Windows initiates not unsolicited telephone calls and he replied: "we are not Windows, we represent Windows. Who are these people and how to stop these calls? Which can be reported to?
Calls unrequested telephone of this nature are almost always a common scam. Do not let them give any info, do not give access to your PC, not give them all the money and do not go to all the websites that they suggest. One moment.
Please see:

Microsoft issues never not solicited for phone calls of support or security.
These types of callers can use completely fictitious names or bogusly claim to be of real companies other than Microsoft as well.
If you want to report, contact your local police/authorities. However, since these types of appellants operate worldwide to stop them are difficult.

This morning, I got a phone call from an Asian man, saying: he has worked with microsoft, I found it very difficult to understand what he was saying and to rehearse a lot, he mentioned "Alureon" and says that my computer is one of the computers on crash today... He then wen on say that they should do support remotely. to help solve the problem, stupidly and against everything I've known I have allowed him... .it all seemed very alarming... it said my computer was about to crash in a few moments and I had to buy the red shield to protect... I hung up, but they called back... ultimately I told them I wasn't buying any and at this point, he got quite angry and asked me why I was wasting his time. How can I check my computer to make sure they did not hurt? and they can access my computer later? I'm asuming that Microsft had nothing to do with it.

I received a phone call from microsoft technology who wanted to go on my computer & difficulty a Trojan horse, which is on my computers (more than one computer in my house). If I don't get this fixed right away, I could lose my computers & will not work to full capascity as before the Trojan horse was built-in on my computers in the last 10 days. I was very leary about it wanted to check into that first. He said he could remember at an agreed time. So I set up to 22/05/12 at 4:30 pm p.t.. Is it a scam? This should be an international alert to all users of mircosoft for msn & email clients. They would come by phone now. SO WHAT IS GOING ON HERE? !!!

Windows microsoft never does unsolicted phone calls to its users of the products?
I got a phone call from someone with a strong Indian accent yesterday (hard so communication) who claimed to be the center of windows, yhey said they had problems detected in my computer, and could I turn on the computer, to help clear it up. They also suggested that they would shut down windows on my computer. I asked to speak to a supervisor, or for them to send me an email detailing their concerns. the person seems to cover these requests, so I hung up. did microsoft ever do the unsolicited calls to its customers?
It is a scam. Don't let them have access to your computer remotely and don't give them any personal information, including your credit card number. Simply hang up.
Microsoft never takes unsolicited phone calls, or they do not know if/when you are experiencing computer problems.
-
The person calling said he could give me a technical support for problems that they had detected with my computer, but he seemed surprised when I said that I had problems with my computer. I did not understand a lot of what he was saying because of his foreign accent. Can someone tell me what it is? I don't think that I may have a virus, but Windows actually call for help?
You were lucky that you could not understand him and so do not buy what he was selling. It was a scam. Microsoft does not make unsolicited phone calls.
Insofar as thought, you could have a virus...
- What version of Windows (XP Home, XP Pro, Vista, etc) and Service Pack (none, 1, 2, 3) is installed? If you are unsure, do a click right my computer and select properties for information.
- What is the name and version of your anti-virus program? Is his current subscription and has it always been updated?
- What other security software is installed (names and versions)?
- What are the symptoms? That's what are you see you do not, you should see or what is you don't see don't you think you should? Please report the full text of the error message without paraphrase.
- What happened to your computer shortly before the symptoms started? Power outage (including pulling them out the plug or by pressing the off button); use of a registry cleaner, optimizer, tuner, etc. ; installation of an update (only one?). Another thing that you can identify.

Phone call from a person who claims to work for Windows.
Occasionally my old computer crashes when I read a Blog, and I have to close it manually. When I start backup it asks if I want to send an error message. If I do not send the message, in a few days I get a phone call from someone claiming to work for Windows and they want access to my computer. Is it a coincedence? It happened three times in the past months, and I know that Microsoft does not call customers. So is there someone who works at Microsoft who does something they shouldn't? The people who have always had Indian accents or Chinese who are difficult to understand.

Phone call of support of Windows said I have a virus
I received a call from an Indian man today telling me that it was Windows Support and that my system had a virus on it, and it was dangerous. I stopped the man and told him that a relative of mine has had the same call and that she had checked that it was not Microsoft and Windows wouldn't contact me by phone unless I had contacted and asked them to call me. He tried telling me that if I didn't do that he asked that the system would get slower and more slowly and eventually fall down, I told him bluntly that I didn't believe that it was Windows and he was trying to sell me something that I really don't need that I have Norton 360 and had not flashed up problems with viruses. He told me that Norton 360 was not very good and it would still leave virus (a lie). I then asked where he got my number as I don't give, if I can help, he said, it is based on a questionnaire (which I had not filled in), I told him that I was a member of the GST with BT and I didn't talk to him more, and he could be sentenced to a fine for call me cold and then put the phone down.
These people don't realize that there are actually certain IT savvy computer owners out there, what really gets me, is that they tell us that they got our information from questionnaires or market research when we have not completed anything, either online or other.

Original title: scam or not
I just got the phone is off "Windows OS computer maintenance required", I went through the senario execution because I apparently files may contain a virus. I got a number to call back and ask for Henry 02 80060075 apparently in Sydney. I remembered and has a call center responded in the form of windows. After going through several id checks which they knew my CLSID number but one of them that I take now is the same number for many people. In any case I tell them I work for a COMPUTER company and would take my computer to work with them check. The guy said that he did not believe I worked for a COMPUTER company, because I did not understand what they are trying to help me for a very small cost of AUD $110. After a long debate and tell him, I thought it was a scam I hung up.
So my question is: Windows to call Manila on a Saturday night at 5:30?
It is a popular scam. Microsoft has no unsolicited phone calls. You should read the very first post on this forum.

Phone calls suspects, eager to use the DOS commands on the computer
* Original title: possibility of abuse
Lately, I got several calls from East Indian, who say they work for Microsoft and they have detected the problem with my Windows and the computer. I usually hang up on them, because I don't think that Microsoft is doing this. I just got this call and has played with the guy for a while, but he was willing to go to make changes via commands back that sounded suspicious to me so I hung up. I'm just confirm, but Microsoft does not doesn't it?
