H P 4500: my printer does not print

I have just connected a new wireless router, now the printer does not seem to receive the Telegraph message to print.

Hello @Bill204,

Thank you for showing your interest in the HP Forums! I see you are having problems printing on the network from obtaining a new wireless router. I would like to help.

If you haven't already done so, you will need to restore the default values of the printer wireless and set up the printer via the new router.

Restore the default values:

Go to settings.

Wireless menu.

Reset the wireless.

Then run the wireless to connect to the network from the router. Proceed to step 2 of this document: Wireless Printer Setup.

Then go to step 1, number 4, to connect a new printer.

I would like to know if these measures worked for you. If they did, it's great! Give us some reinforcements by clicking on the solution and laurels, buttons that help and others see that we have the answers! Good luck!

    Any help?

    Hello

The software for your printer is available through Apple Software update, and there is no installer available on HP.com. thjat means that use you a bad driver or a one that is not intended for Yosemite.

Remove incompatible software using Uninstall HP under Applications > Hewlett-Packard, then follow these steos to install the printer on your Mac:

Thus obtained on ATT and we were able to get a NEW PASSWORD. Now when I go to print something the printer wants me to PASSWORD. I did exactly cela and every time says INCORRECT WORD, PLEASE TRY AGAIN. But the funniest thing I ask (why is it every time I want to communicate with the printer I get kick out off line and lose the internet connection)?

The printer was working great up to that time.

    Thank you

Hello and welcome to the HP support community!

It seems that you use one of the two methods of Wi - Fi connection available on your printer called "Live wireless".

He transforms your printer into a wifi hotspot and does not require a router or an existing wireless network.  It disconnect any device that you use to access the printer on the internet.

I suggest that you turn it off and use your home network instead.  Search for "Live wireless" in your network settings on the printer and power it off.

  • Installation of 4500 HP Envy does not accept the IP on printer

I was installing my new HP Envy 4500, and everything was a lot. The printer connected to my router Westell 7500 wireless and I can see it on the network with the IP 10.0.0.17. When the installation on my computer, I get to the point where he asks the IP address on the screen.  I can't clear the checkpoint.  He dislikes this IP address. (It seems like a simple IP address, is it not?) HP Envy is compatible with my Westell wireless router? This is 802.11 g, not n, but that doesn't seem like it should be a problem.

I tried all available suggestions and tips:

-I can connect via USB, but when I try to convert a wireless connection, I'm stuck again.

-J' tried the program doctor of HP, and it tells me that the installation is not complete and gives me a new download, but that the download is blocked between 30 and 70 of 115, so I'm stuck here as well.

[It's kind of weird that it is somewhat similar to the problem I had with my old Lexmark HP printer which prompted me to try a new printer. All of a sudden I had communication problems. As a first step, the document would be stuck at 15% while queue. After that I could see this printer on the network, but my computer could not communicate with her at all. This makes me think that I might have a problem with Windows 7? I tried to restart the spooler, but that didn't work either.]

I am running Windows 7 64 bit on an Acer Aspire.

    Any ideas?

Then it took me five days, but I finally my printer works perfectly, and I love it.

After running many diagnostics on my computer, I came to the conclusion that I had a problem of windows 7.  I restored to factory settings (because windows even backup was stunning on me). After that installation is progressing beautifully and I got the printer set up in a few minutes.

Was it a virus? Windows flip out because I had already run a Lexmark printer? What happened a month that made me lose communication with my old printer. I'll never know.

But, I have solved my problem, so I'm happy.

  • Want 4500: Wireless Direct does not

    Hi all

I am setting up my new HP envy with my MacBookPro on OS X 4500. First of all, I bought the printer because I can not connect to the printer and my laptop to the same wireless network.

I installed all the drivers, but the printer prints only when my laptop and printer are attached to my phone, which is infeasible in the long term because of the cost. The printer is to distribute the signal wireless very well, but my mac cannot connect to it.

I tried to reboot both several times.

I would be grateful for any help

    Hi @RiverCam101

What happens when you try to connect your Mac to the network Direct printers wireless?  While I wait for you, if it please go to the front of the printer, press the arrow down and select the settings menu. In the settings menu, go to and select without wire, then search for and select Advanced settings. Now in advanced settings you can go to choose IPv6, please disable IPv6 and restart the Mac connection.

Please let me know if this change fixes the problem, or if you need assistance. If you need additional assistance, please do not forget to let me know what happens when you try to connect the Mac on the network. Thank you.

  • Does not print WANT 4500

I've had the URGE of 4500 during about 2 months now... it printed fine when I installed it all first. He printed my phone Droid, Droid to my husband, my daughter's school iPad and my laptop. Cool!

Then it does NOT begin printing. First of all, it's ON and OFf, it would be time. Then he began to print 2 days after I sent the work to the printer. Now it will not print anything.

I read every response that's been posted on this problem. I uninstalled and reinstalled about 30 times. I changed the IP address to one that is outside the range of my Belkin router. I've changed several times - did everything suggested on this forum. All to nothing does not. At best, I could get it to print several times within a few hours, and then he'd leave again.

All withdrew on the printer controls. I'm so frustrated that I'm about to chuck this crazy printer out the window (except that I live in a House of a story and he would probably not too hard LOL!). This is by far the WORST EXPERIENCE I've EVER had WITH a HP PRODUCT in 30 years, I was with computers and peripheral wrstling.

    HELP, please, pretty please ;-)

Oh yes, and I PAY for INK SNAPSHOT and have already lost a month. Running Windows 7

Move the 4500 less than 4 ft from the Belkin.

Set the Belkin on channel 11.

  • HP Officejet 4500 g510-m, it scans, but it does not print

    Hello

I have a HP Officejet 4500 g510-m, which seems to work fine. When I connect it to my laptop, which is a Sony VAIO with windows 7 64 bit, using a usb cable it scans normally but it does not print. There is no error push up, even in the print queue's list as his impression, just not as a document waiting or anything. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers, but nothing happened.  I used printing HP and doctor Scan of your site and it print an internal test page, but not one sent from the computer, so he said that this is not a hardware problem, but something is wrong with the software. On other computers, it works fine. Could you help me?

    Thank you

    Lena

    Hi Lena,.

Please try to use an alternative driver steps and let me know if this helps,

It should then allow any functionality such as printing, scanning and fax.

Open Control Panel, and then select devices and printers.

Right-click on the icon HP Officejet 4500 (be sure not to select the icon of the series Fax 4500), and then select printer properties.

If there is no such icon 4500, that it can be combined under any other icon, right-click on the computer icon and look then to the properties of the printer, if not do a right-click any listed printer and check if the icon of 4500 sub list the properties of the printer option.

Click the Advanced tab, and then click new driver. Follow the dialog box until the sweepers list appears, select HP, and then select the HP Deskjet 6940 printer (it is alphabetic sorted by different printers series)... If there is no such clcik pilot the Windows Update icon and allow it some time to update, and then search the list once again appear.

Follow the steps to complete the wizard and confirm a dialog window, then try to pritning with HP Deskjet 6940 replacement icon.

    You can see any difference?

I purchased a 4500 desire. This is the second HP after buying two weeks ago another HP does not properly.

My desire to 4500 will not load paper, I tried with a single page or a dozen, it's the same thing: the paper is not reached by the roll and it is not loaded in the printer.

  • HP Officejet 4500 wireless printer does not appear on the control panel

My HP Officejet 4500 wireless printer does not appear on the control panel.  How to fix it.  I have a laptop Toshiba and Windows 7 Home Premium OS.  Help, please.    rwillm

    Hey,.

Thanks for the update, rwillm.  It seems that the installation of the printer can be a little messed up.  If the printer software is always installed, but simply lacks the printer, then I would advise to do a little cleaning before choosing to add the printer back.

    • Make sure that the printer is deleted from the file devices and printers
    • Click on one of the remaining printers folder
    • Select the properties of the print server at the top of the window
    • Click the tab drivers
    • Remove all drivers in this window for the Officejet 4500

Also check in the Device Manager to verify that there is no mention of remaining of the 4500.

    • Click on the start menu
    • Right click on computer
    • Select manage in the list
    • Click Device Manager in the list of questions on the left side of the window that opens
    • Click the view at the top of the menu, and then select Show hidden devices
    • Remove all references to the 4500 in the list of devices

After making sure of the device is gone, I recommend bike devices in the power circuit: router, computer and printer.

    * Make sure the printer has a valid IP address after switching back on and is connected to the same network as your PC before adding the printer.

If the IP address and SSID are good for the printer, then try to add the printer with the printer software, you have installed.

    • Click on the Start Menu
    • Click on all programs
    • Open the HP folder
    • Open the folder for the series of the Officejet 4500 G510
    • Select Add a device option

Let me know how it goes,

    Jason
