H6E16EA #ABB: can I upgrade my CPU?

Hello

I have a HP 250 G1 with an Intel Core processor i3 - 3110M 2.40 GHz, 8 GB RAM Memory(had 4, but i've installed 4 more), Windows 8 running on 64-bit.

So, I bought Call of Duty Advanced Warfare and I need a minimum frequency of 2.90 GHz.

I would buy with 3.00 GHz i7, but I don't know if my cell phone is supported.

Someone? Help?

PS Booooh! Bad English

Core 2 Duo is old technology. In the list in the post above, you can install the versions 'budget' of the Intel Core processors (i3, etc.). The Pentium 2030 M is the fastest at 2.5 ghz, but I couldn't find one for sale online. It is roughly equal to an i3 - 3120 m.

  • Qosmio F10-124: can I upgrade my CPU a faster chip?

Can someone tell me if I can improve my CPU to a faster chip, I have the 1.6Ghz CPU in the moment, but I don't know if this is a plug in type or if it is soldered on the motherboard.

I called Toshiba and they were asked, but until I'm practically the question out, he said no, can anyone help?.

    Thank you very much, Pete.

    Hello

Generally it is not possible to upgrade the CPU because of several reasons.
But as far as I know that different Qosmio F20 models were shipped with these processors:
    Intel Pentium - M 1.60/1.73/1.86/2.00/2.13GHz
    Intel Celeron - M 1.40/1.50GHz

  • Can I upgrade the CPU T2310 Satellite Pro L40 - 15A series laptop PC?

Hi, (I apologize if this has been asked before, but when I search 'Satellite pro l40 series' I couldn't find any relevant response)

I've been looking around the net & found contradictory answers to this question so far, so I hope that this forum may be able to help.

I have a 15 D portable computer Satellite pro L40 and I want to upgrade the processor Intel Pentium Dual-Core 1.46 Ghz T2310 an Intel Pentium Dual-Core T4300 2.1 GHz 1 MB 800 CPU or something similar.

I found the following issues http://www.notebookcheck.net/Review-Toshiba-Satellite-L40-14N-Notebook.7294.0.html

"f consider you a CPU upgrade, there is not a lot of options." The Intel GL960 value express notebook chip supports only up to FSB 533 Mhz processors. So, does not allow most of the Core 2 Duo CPU update (with 667 MHz). "

But then, I also read that the GL960 can run 800 MHz processors?

I also asked the question on ebay to the seller of the CPU T2310 & received this response

«SHOULD be OK, but your T2310 533 Mhz FSB and the T4300 has 800 Mhz.»

Motherboards intel more modern should easily accept a 800 mhz cpu, but I cannot guarantee. May be an idea to see if you can find out if there are other models of Toshiba L40, also with 800 mhz chip, because it would be a good indicator.

And if I can't pass a T2310 because of the 800 mhz too is their a 533 mhz cpu that will be compatible & more powerful for audio production that my current Ghz CPU T2310 1.46.

I've only had this PC 4 years again, it seems not to be very mobile friendly if this resource could not be designed to handle upgrades.

    Thanks for the tips.

Problem is that upgrading the CPU is not taken in charge and everything you do is at your own risk.

    Hey

I have one in my possession and I wanted to make a good game.

I don't know if I'll be able to cause. It hurts thinking may be able to put a processor duo or quad, and I do not know if the CPU will be able to support a really good graphics card, and I also think about changing hard drive.

Any1 know what hard drives are compatible with what I can use which are good for games?

    Hello!

I m wondering that you want to upgrade this old notebook. In my view, that a new laptop would be a better solution.

On the CPU and GPU upgrade I can only say s is not possible and not Toshiba support. The GPU is soldered on the motherboard and t can be exchanged.
I think you should read this: http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB9401AX0001R01.htm

The HARD drive can be upgraded. This isn t a problem.
AFAIK the A35 Satellite is equipped with a s IDE HDD and this means that you buy a drive HARD IDE interface up to 128 GB.

    Hello

in my opinion, replacing the motherboard (with CPU) can cost you as much as a new PC so not to show up thinking even to replace this part. In addition, you don't get enough guarantee for the spare parts for this amount.

If you really need to upgrade, you might like by examining a new PC itself.

  • Can I upgrade my CPU i7 - 2600K p7-1110?

I have a desktop PC p7-1110 HP running Windows 7 and want to know if I can pass safely the CPU to an i7 Intel - 2600K, which is the unlocked version, as opposed to the version of 2600 S recommended in the user documentation. There seems to be no BIOS (Version/Date FRIEND 7.16, 05/10/2011) available to fix the processor clock multiplier, or all the other CPU settings, so I wonder if the BIOS correctly defines the parameters of the 2600 K. I would use the 2600S, but they become very rare and expensive.

Thanks in advance for any help.

    Hi Carlos,

Your PC product specifications are here, indicate the Core i7-2600 (Sandy Bridge) quad core 95 TDP is compatible with your motherboard.

As long as the 2600 k has the same characteristics of power dissipation (95 Watt), so it should be compatible with your motherboard. Once again, HP updated the BIOS FRIEND do not configure for overclocking the processor unlocked so will operate at the speed of stock.

Yes, your concerns are valid and you should prepare properly this question before buying the processor.

One final thought, why you are considering buying a 2600 k, if the possibility of overclocking the card using mother-IPISB-CU Carmel2, does not exist?

  • Can I upgrade the CPU on my old Satellite M60

Hello I would like to know if it is possible to upgrade the processor to my old m60
and, if possible, which would be compatible CPU model?

    Thank you

    Hello

I doubt that you will be able to upgrade the processor.
    Upgrading CPU is delicate.
First of all, you should check what CPU's are supported by the chipset.
Secondly, the BIOS is not tested and designed for other processors and so this can be a big problem.
In the worst cases the CPU is not supported by the BIOS and the laptop will not turn on.

Last but not least a faster processor would generate more heat which would lead to a higher temperature and plant s notebook

As you can see the CPU upgrade it discouraged and in most cases is not possible

  • Can I upgrade my CPU now?

    Hey everybody:

I think the upgrade of my compact dc7800 mini tower CPU of the current E4500 @ 2.20 GHz, for an E8500 3.16 GHz

These chips are only $15, should I do it?

(I already use graphics Radeon HD 6570 and 4 GB of DDR2 RAM at 333 MHz)

The E8600 are twice the price to about $30

Obviously, the only reason that I bring up the price of a $15 difference is because MONEY IS TIGHT RIGHT now.

Apart from the slightly higher clock speed 3.33 GHz of E8600 against 3.13 GHz of the E8500, are there other benefits to E8600 on the E8500?

My son uses this machine to the game and I use it for photoshop / lightroom.

For the current hardware Windows experience index:

    Base score: 5.5

    Processor: Calculations per second: 5.5

Memory (RAM): Operations per second memory: 5.5

Graphics card: Desktop for Windows Aero performance: 6.7

Graphics card: 3D Business and graphics of games: 6.7

Primary hard disk: disk data transfer rate: 5.8

    Any suggestion is appreciated.

    You are the very welcome.

If you can replace two chips 1 GB with 2 of 2 GB chips, you will have at least 6 GB.

It will not change the speed of the memory, but at least you'd be to halfway there at maxing out at 8 GB memory PC2-6400.

Memory will run at the slower speed of any one piece in there, so even if the two would be 800 MHz, they will work 667 MHz and 2 x 1 GB PC2-5300 chips.

Yes, I don't know what it is with upgrades the processor I did.

I have updated many of the processor socket 478 Pentium smoothly.

I read a lot of "how to" tips for installing an LGA 775 processor and how to properly apply thermal paste.

I tried different ways to apply the paste.  Grain size of the rice, X model, pea size...  Puree and slightly twisted the heatsink to spread in the dough.  Cleaned thoroughly heat surfaces with lint free wipes and 70% isopropyl alcohol... everything.

The PC went very well, but if you have run windows experience index test, or put a load on the CPU, the fan would go into orbit!   They had run fine until I got my hands on them.

I was upset because there was a large increase in performance, whenever I changed the Pentium 4 630 in the dc7600 to Pentium D 945.  But I like a nice quiet PC, and the fan must have kept idle during these processes.

If you are not comfortable to upgrade the processor and you can hang 2 x 2 GB PC2 - 6400 chip memory for $30, I would go that route.

I bought 4 of them... Excellent work.

I have a feeling that this 6300hq of 2.3 GHz i5 is not going to get me very far.  I was wondering if my specific model has been upgraded and if so, what processor I could install.  I did work on my old Pavilion 15, the replacement of the CPU and RAM, so I think that I am able to upgrade myself.

In addition, my CPU is bottlenecking my GPU, that is a problem that I use the laptop for games.  I currently have the GTX 960 m 2 GB, if you think I'm wrong.

The manual is enigmatic at best but if you have read and worked with some of them and made a swap processor or 2, it is obvious that the CPU is soldered to the motherboard. Dead giveaway: no lising processor as spare part. Second gift dead: no image to remove the processor. S. 51 of the manual shows a representation of the fo processor soldered on. 3rd dead... do the replacement motherboard description includes the processor included with Office. See p. 52. • Re: Satellite A200-1TS - can I upgrade the CPU Intel Core Duo T7800 mobile

    Hello

I have a laptop toshiba Satellite A200-1TS with processor intel core 2 duo T7500 mobile.
Here is my model: http://ark.intel.com/Product.aspx?id=29761&processor=T7500&spec-codes=SLA3N, SLA44, SLADM, SLAF8,.

I want to change the processor with Intel core duo T7800 mobile.
This is the model: http://ark.intel.com/Product.aspx?id=31729&processor=T7800&spec-codes=SLA75, SLAF6

Is it possible to change this?
Because is not a diference betwwen T7500 and T7800.
The only diference is that T7800 has 2, 6 GHz. And my motherboard supports any other procesors as T8XXX or T9XXX?

    Thank you

Why do you want to upgrade?
Only due to the fact that the new processor takes in charge the 2.6 Ghz instead of 2.2 Ghz?

To be honest, you will notice no no performance gain after these updates.
Of course, the processor is faster, but would not really noticeable.

In addition, you should know that a CPU upgrade on laptop is very complicated.
First disassembly of the laptop is really complicated. It may be damaged other parts during disassembly procedure and more, you will lose the warranty.

Theoretically, this processor should be compatible, but as much as I know the Toshiba does not support updates and there could be a conflict of BIOS.

So I would not recommend these updates.

PS: Check your chipset and look at the Intel page for more information about the various CPU media.
