H8 1000z: display driver does not

Today my computer blacked out 2 times of serprate and I got an error message whenever display driver is not responding.  Several years ago, my computer blacked out and stopped runing.   Leading me to reset the graphics card and it worked again.   I don't put it back if the error message from the driver does not respond and the part of my computer blacking out and running again has nothing to do with each other.   I'm not on computers all that much but would also add that if this problem one map graphic.  Where or in my computer being inside of the case, if not where can I find the graphics card of a particular type for this system.  Thank you.

    I ve checked the download from Toshiba Europe site, and there is no problem with the download. The file is approximately 96 MB and I downloaded it for about 40 seconds.

    Anyway, who knows how you use the S-Video option and what can be the problem. According to your announcement you didn t get answer from Toshiba about it. Am I right about that?
    To be honest I don't think that there is a problem. The fact is that how to use the cable S-Video with TV is the same for all models laptops.

  • Portege Z930 - display driver does not work properly

    We have a Portege Z930 with Windows 7 64 bit in use where the Intel display driver seem to work fine.

    First problem is the slow presentation on screen - if we open a (simple JPG) photo and move the window, the frame window break during the move and showed very weird.

    Then, we have installed a U3.0 dynadock docking for the use of two external displays more. This method works even worse. To the docking station, we used the driver from the CD supplied in the delivery and connect to a USB 3.0 connector.

    On starting switching on 2 screens instead of internally for computer laptop screen does not work - and we use workaround of using an extended desktop on all 3 displays (2 external and internal display for laptop as the third).

    In Internet Explorer, it should turn off GPU Rendering and use Software Rendering rather because otherwise, we observed critical irregularities on the external screens (with 2 Windows Open the screen froze or could not display Windows Mobile). However the display isn't satisfactioning.

    We have tried 3 different versions of the recommended Driver Intel which is also offered by Toshiba to download; We loaded it is there and also 2 versions more (a more recent, one older) Intel directly.

    So, how can we get this working properly?

    More importantly. Make sure you have Service Pack 1 installed Win7. New laptops have problems running in win7 RTM (without service pack).

    It seems that Windows uses the standard VGA driver instead of the Intel driver. Uninstall all display drivers from Control Panel-> programs and features and then go to the Toshiba website and install the utility Intel Chipset then the Intel display driver, then go to DisplayLink.com and install the latest DisplayLink driver for the dynadock. The new software v7.xx DisplayLink driver fixes several issues found in v6.xx drivers.

    Verify that the Intel drivers are installed properly in Device Manager.

    Thanks for all the replies and help with this question. very much appreciated. so it turns out that amd drivers digitally signed they are not digitally signed by microsoft. before installing the drivers, I imported the certificates and thought that should do.  However in Manager devices drivers listed as not digitally signed. Windows 7 64 bit does not load drivers that are not digitally signed BY MICROSOFT. AMD drivers are signed by symantic and geotrust. but not microsoft. Microsoft says its to protect my operating system and the computer. AMD said nothing. Why would they? It would be like to tell everyone running 64-bit windows to go buy a nvidia card. my card would not even post in the pciE slot, he was running on a usb to pci bridge. now, I run test with disabled debug mode. re installed the drivers AMD Crimson and my card is post 3 PciE. 8 x 64 bit. everything works very well. the best this vostro has run yet. even allows me during the clock without any problem. would be nice if these companies could overcome their grudges;. or at least be openly honest about what is causing the problems. I have to run, my Ubuntu download has completed.

    Best test you can do is to back up all your important data and reinstall original recovery image and test your machine with the factory settings. If the problem persists it may be hardware related issue.

    It seems to be equipped with the graphic chip NVIDIA GeForce GT330M (NVIDIA N11P - GE1 DDR3 (1 GB))

    On the European driver Toshiba page, you can find two drivers for Win 7 64 bit:
    V189.58 and v260.51 of the NVidia driver

    This driver v260.51 is * only * model * with the 3D nVidia * video card!
    The v189.58 is for all other models with a GPU without 3D

    Have you tried updating your drivers of graphics card with the version the most recent since the support pages for your make/model (and supported OS - 32-bit or 64-bit etc) see if an update of the driver helps?
