H8-1114: h8-1114 bad upgrade to Nvidia 740

Hello

I was wondering what I'm doing wrong, or if the card is even compatible with the computer...

Hunterre,

You are right. This card is NOT compatible with your system.

(1) the h8-1114 is about Sept 2011 and has been issued with WIN7.   BIOS rev 7.16 is related to the WIN 7.

(2) you can not put the BIOS to rev8.  Who took supported Sept 2012 and is called UEFI.

(3) the GT740 is issued may 2014 and would be UEFI vBIOS, requiring a BIOS you can not install.

(4) even if the GT 740 to work,it's marginal aloneagainst the original GT 520.

You need a GPU that is inherited or has the switch for Legacy/UEFI.

  • Dell 630i want to upgrade video nVidia

I have a Dell 630i with the installed nVidia GTX240 standard. I want to improve the maximum supported video, which I think is an installation of video card nVidia SLI double. I want to know is what current nVidia cards are compatible with the 630i.

UPDATE: I should have mentioned that the main reason for the upgrade is that I'm a new fan of Flight Sim (FSX to be precise - thanks, Dad) and want to have as realistic, possible an experience, that's why I am considering SLI Double option. Before that, I'm open to suggestions as to the best video card to use.

Because you have an archaic system and older CPU, you do not want to too high and I wouldn't waste money on a SLI configuration.  A 240 GTX is old enough.  I'd just get a GTX 750 Ti, the GTX 660 or 760 GTX and you'll be miles ahead of the 240 GTX.

  • X 51 - R1, to upgrade to Nvidia GeForce GTX 645

I have the X 51 - R1, with processor i3-3220 @3. 30 GHz processor.  I'm interested in upgrading my video card and was looking for recommendations, at the price of decently. I'm not a big player (Minecraft, WoW) but I do a lot of HD video streaming.  I'm also under double-screens because I work from home. Any suggestion would be great.

    Thanks for your time.

You have the R1. The R2 does not comes with the i3-3220. You may not use any video card that uses more on our 330w power 150w. The video card must not be greater than 9.5 "x 4.3". I can't recommend the Dell OEM = video cards

  • Question about upgrading drivers Nvidia on Satellite Pro X 200

Can I update the drivers from nvidia 8700 for my 8700 pro satellite drivers for vista from nvidia home page,.
or do I have to use the toshiba page.

The reason I ask, is because I had a laptop computer manufacturers one another, and when I updated my nvidia drivers from the nvidia homepage,.
Spoolsv.exe has started using all my cpu, and the reason was that this driver has not been supported by this manufacturer

Shouldn´t you use the original Nvidia drivers since they are not changed for mobile platforms. If you install drivers from there, your computer will run much hotter then now and it won´t work correctly because the programming of schedules for the GPU and RAM are not correct.

You will need to go here:

but please: read the FAQ first before you do ANYTHING! :) I recommend you to do this because we can made a lot of mistakes. ;)

  • Bad upgrade.

Upgrade Advisor was right when he said 32 bit on my Windows 7 update to Vista, but for some reason that I found myself with 64 bit. What can I do other that back up all my files and make a fresh reboot. Not sure I'll do it right? Can anyone help? Thanks in advance. Scott

First question is, is a computer capable to run Windows 7 64-bit?

If your system is not able to run the 64 bit, do not try to install, but install 32 bit.

It's the Microsoft Upgrade Advisor who will answer this question.

    https://www.Microsoft.com/en-CA/Download/details.aspx?ID=20

Second , is the Microsoft Windows 7 product key, a version of 32 or 64 bit?

If the latter, you must use the 64-bit version.

Installing any 64-bit operating system in a system that includes a 32-bit system installed, requires to install a "Clean".  You must select the option custom in the installation process.  Then, click on the Advanced link and delete all partitions on the hard disk.

  • Can I upgrade the Nvidia on Satellite P100-188 card?

    Hello

Having the Satellite P100 - 188 PSPA3E back to the United Kingdom. It seems now that I have a faulty card of the VGA GF-GO7600-N-A2, which is separated from the motherboard (A000006530), which is good news.

As I will have to replace it now, can I switch to the best map? I looked through google for replacement for 7600 cards, but have been unable to locate the exact card replacement. I have sent emails to different suppliers in the United Kingdom and now am waiting for answers. Nothing on ebay either right now, outside the chip 7600 Hong Kong, which would mean a soldering job?

    Thanks in advance.

In General, graphics card can not be updated - http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/FAQ7A01ZW0007R01.htm

What do you think about possible risks (more heat and so forth)?

I do a clean install for upgrade with Win 7 Pro 64-bit OEM. I ran the Win 7 Upgrade Advisor and need guidance on these issues, on what I need to do to upgrade:

    NVIDIA NFORCE 10/100 Mbps ethernet
    NVIDIA GeForce GT630
    NVIDIA High Definition Audio
    NVIDIA nForce System Management Controller

Are these extensible & will work with Win 7 Pro 64-bit?

    Hello:

You will need this chipset driver in order to install the ethernet (NVIDIA NFORCE 10/100 Mbps ethernet) and most of the other devices you listed.

You should install this driver first and restart the computer before you install any other driver.

    http://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/30520/en-us

According to the specifications of your model, it came with integrated graphics which means that you have added the video card.

So you will not find this graphics driver on your PC support page.

This is the latest driver for your GT630:

  • Pavilion p6-2422el: Pavilion p6-2422el GPU upgrade

    Hello
I recently decided to upgrade the Nvidia Geforce gt630 supplied with the pc. After a little research I ' ve found the 750 gtx or 750ti cards and I would like to know if they are compatible with my system. If you have any suggestions for the best graphics cards please tell me. Sorry for the bad English.

PS. I looked on data sheets HP and idk why but my pc has a different cpu (i5-3330)

    Hi there @Francesco55,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!  I understand that you look at upgrading the graphics card in your computer.  I'm happy to help you with this.

Looking at the HP Pavilion p6-2422el product specifications desktop PC and HP and Compaq Desktop PCs - specifications of the motherboard, H-Joshua-H61-Μatx (Joshua), your system has the following:

    300W internal power supply (100V-240V)

    A PCI Express x 16 (Gen2.0)
    Three PCI Express x 1 (Gen2.0) connectors
    A PCI Express x 1 Mini card

Any card you're looking at would be necessary to act within these limits.

Looking at the: GeForce GTX 750 Ti spécifications

    Minimum configuration of power (W) 300 W

Support for the PCI Express 3.0 bus

And: the GeForce GTX 750 specifications

    Minimum configuration of power (W) 300 W

Support for the PCI Express 3.0 bus

Neither the map shows a requirement for a secondary power supply, but both require a minimum of a 300W power supply. You can install a power of higher capacity to exceed this requirement and avoid potential problems.

Please let me know if it works for you and if it does not solve your problem, please mark this message as a solution. Bravo would be appreciated as well.

  • Upgrade trashed my bookmarks and history. Also changed the font size. Don't restore point to go back but still no Favorites or history

Firefox has indicated that he did not have an upgrade. After upgrade, size smaller font, missing bookmarks and history missing. After doing a restore point, are back to normal but the bookmarks and history still missing. DO NOT MAKE the BAD upgrade. New version 3.6

Hi, for only the bookmarks, you can try this: first open the bookmarks > show all bookmarks > import and backup > restore and see if you have a backup there.

Otherwise and to restore both the history, please see.

If your question is resolved by this or another answer, please take a minute to let us know. Thank you.

  • Satellite P870 - problems with WiFi after Win 8.1 upgrade

    Wireless Internet is hopeless.
Maybe that 3 to 10 pages will load correctly or not at all, for most not at all.
Other wireless devices in the House are fine, as is the use of the Ethernet.

Checked the drivers through the Device Manager, says that they are up to date.
However using the toshiba service station he lists 12 updates including one for the driver Realtek wireless.

The date of release permanently after the last version installed.
Try to update by the service center to complete and then comes up with an error message, something like the process is completed by the user.

Of course I never finished anything.
    Any ideas/thoughts? Just uninstall 8.1?
