H8 - 1237c need diagram of Audio inputs

Hello: Where can I find a diagram of the audio sockets (entries) on the back of the computer and an explanation of what they do exactly? I also need a new speaker system, any recommendation would be most appreciated! Thank you very much

Steve, welcome to the forum.

This is the page for Specifications of the motherboard of the computer.  Scroll to the I/O ports/rear section of i/o ports to the list of ports and what they do.

There are many good speaker systems, but in my opinion the Bose Companion 5 system is the best.  While it is expensive, you don't have to buy a sound card to make their great sound.  They connect to your system via a USB port.  Integrated sound will not simply allow good speakers to reach their full potential.  If Bose is too expensive, here is a pair of Logitech speakers who have a lot of good reviews.  Read the reviews to see what the owners have to say about them.

  • Can you stereo audio input in an iPhone and listen in real-time?

Well, it's rather a strange question, so I will explain briefly the background... I am a user of the hearing and I'm considering the purchase of hearing aids new fantasies that are capable of connecting to an iPhone (wireless via THE Bluetooth); This allows several things, including the ability to listen to the audio from the phone.

I currently don't own an iPhone but wonder if buying one, as well as these hearing aids (Starkey Halo 2, if you're curious) might be a good option.

The thing that is currently my attention is: is there a way that I could use this configuration of audio stream of (for example), a TV or a stereo directly to hearing aids? To do this I would need power audio * in * the iPhone and do share the same audio output for hearing aids. The audio input should be high enough quality and (especially!) in stereo, not mono; so we couldn't use the 3.5 mm jack. Ideally, I'd like to audio input via a digital SPDIF (PCM stereo) connection; If this is not possible then via a signal analog stereo level line (preferably via XLR, but failing that would make a jack or RCA). Another important thing is that (except what is inevitable due to the nature of the Bluetooth connection), this should be pretty low latency.

I guess I would need some kind of accessory for this and perhaps also additional software.

    How possible it seems?

You might want to repost on in the forum "hearing". There seems to be a number of users of Halo.

  • 550-215na Pavilion: no sound from the rear audio input jack

    Hello

I recently bought a new PC and I immediately ran into an audio problem that I can't understand. I get no sound at all from the rear audio input jack. I'm getting sound before making, and the plug rear mic works. When I plug something into the rear socket, a message appears grateful that there is something. When I checked the sound settings while it is plugged into the rear outlet, the equalizer is moving, which indicates that he gets his. But nothing comes out when I plug headphones or speakers in. I can exclude a fault with the speakers and the headphones, because they work very well to come forward. All the drivers are up to date.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi there @PrimoFigs,

I hope you find your experience of positive Support Forum! It's a good place to find the help you need, other users, the HP experts and other members of the support staff. I understand that you get no sound from your speakers when connected to the rear audio ports. I'm happy to give you a helping hand with this.

Have you tried to connect another device to this port, whether it of a different set of speakers or earphones, headphones just to test if one of them works?

What it is connected to the front port at the same time? If so, then disconnect this device and try again the rear port and let me know if there is a change.

Also try this: desktop HP-no sound on speakers (Windows 8).

Please let me know if any of the work of tip for you suggestions and if we don't solve your problem, please mark this message as a solution. Bravo would be appreciated as well.

  • Acer Aspire M1641 Desktop. Rear audio jacks have a 7.1 surround. I need manual for audio jacks.

Above is a close-up photo of the audio input/output jacks on the rear panel of my desktop PC Acer Aspire M1641-E3750A. I think that this configuration is a 7:1 surround sound system. When I access the manual Acer Aspire from the PC itself, it does exactly what is providing the function of a surround sound system. I do not know what the symbols mean audio universal: 'exit' - arrow pointing off wave circle and "input" - arrow pointing in the circle of the wave. The pink jack is the microphone input jack. Blue is the line-in Jack. The Green Jack is for headphones.

Here are the three problems that I am trying to solve:

    (1) which output jack is what works in a surround sound system?

Since the Green Jack is for headphones and a surround sound system this output probably of 'Left' and 'Right' would be pregnant before. Is this correct? I suspect that the black upper middle plug is the bass speaker. Is this true? I do not know what role the white and the yellow output sockets are used in this system.

    (2) what is the correct procedure of wiring/connection to connect speakers to the output jacks of?

I think that ALL the output sheets are mini stereo cards. So, I have attached two speakers from each output as a stereo headphone jack?

    (3) made the PC power attached speakers in the surround sound system? If not, do I have to patch the outputs from the PC via an amplifier and then convert signals to the speakers?

I apologize for all this detail! Perhaps there is a quick reference that someone could provide a link to a knowledge base. I tried Acer, Wikipedia and other sources, but I can't seem to find answers to these questions.

Any help is appreciated. Thank you!

A sound card integrated (such as Realtek) can have multiple uses made.

outside one pink that is taken for Microphone, others can be used like headphones or speakers (normally the green one).

If you go to your control panel and double-click the Realtek icon, probably will appear a window with different parameters and can help you understand what makes each output.

for sure that you need an amplifier, the soundcard of the PC doesn't have enough power to handle a speaker without amplification system.

  • Challenges of the audio input jack (seems not work)

    Hello

    I use an HP Envy 15-j030eb, running Windows 8.1 x 64.

Recently, I need to use my laptop audio input jack to connect my speakers, but I don't get all the sounds. I tried to connect two different types of headphones, with no audio to come through. I don't remember really when I finally used, but I'm sure it worked at some point.

Otherwise it is inserted into the Jack, I get his normal good through the internal speakers, connect a TV via HDMI also works very well.

I tried most of the solutions I could find online (definition of default playback device, change the bass and treble levels, do a hard reset, reinstall the drivers...), but nothing helped. Start Notepad from a live USB Ubuntu USB also translates the same behavior; play music while my works of great internal speakers connection helmet muffles all. This leads me to believe that it is not a Windows/driver issue, but a bios/firmware/hardware one.

Run HP (from usb boot) and the test of speaker adio also doesn't send audio signal to my helmet and gives a failure code: gll3kv-6nm782-mfgjxg-20ek03. I could not decypher this identifier.

Any suggestions on how to proceed and get my audio jack working again please?

    Kind regards

    Hi @klmdb

Welcome to the HP Support Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience! To help you get the most out of the Forums of HP, I would like to draw your attention to the Guide of the Forums HP first time here? Learn how to publish and more.

I saw your post about the problems with your audio jack. I looked in that identification code of the failure that you have posted and there is an audio hardware failure which could be a couple of different things, but from what you describe, it's the audio jack that has failed.  The audio jack is not a replaceable part, you will need to seek to replace the motherboard or card mother.

  • Audio input Inspiron 15 3000 can not detect the headset

Audio input Inspiron 15 3000 can not detect the headset, but audio dell can detect something trendy. However, the playback sound device cannot detect any helmet. Now I only get gurgling in the helmet. How to solve this problem?

Hello. To test the headphone switch the native Windows audio driver Realtek audio driver.

    1. open Device Manager (type devmgmt.msc in the box of Windows search).
    2. develop the 'audio controllers, video & game' and right click on "Realtek High Definition Audio".
3 Select this option to "Update driver software".
    4. click on "Browse my computer for driver software".
    5. click on "Let Me pick from a list of drivers on my computer".
    6. put the "Show compatible hardware" check box if not already checked.
    7. in the list of devices, click on 'High Definition Audio"(native driver).
    8. click on "next".
    9. in the update driver warning box, click 'Yes' (the driver).
10 restart the portable computer if you are prompted. If not invited, so no need to restart.
[To return to the Realtek driver, do it again but reverse the names in steps 1-6.]

If it is still bubbling even with the native driver, test by using other headphones. If still no luck then probably hardware failure. Contact technical support for warranty repair.

If it works fine with the native driver, then the Realtek driver is buggy. Try a different version of the driver. If you need help with this answer comes back with the full model name (something like "Inspiron 11 3147", etc.) and which operating system there.

  • Latitude D531 monitor Audio input problem

Just need help on audio problems...

I have a Dell Latitude D531 and that my job requires me to hear audio from the microphone so I followed the instructions that spoke on the FAQ. I am currently running Windows XP and using a Sigmatel STAC 92xxHD Audio Chip. I tried to change settings in the registry as indicated by replacing the binary codes of the registry "EnableInputMonitor" and "EnableIntSpkMute" by "01" and "00" respectively.

I restarted my computer and when I went to properties, it does not show the "Monitor input" option under "show the following volume controls". Can someone tell me if this is due to the fact that the laptop uses an AMD prcoessor processor or what I have wrong? It would be great if I can get the entries of people who suffer from this as well as the experts who were able to play with it. Appreciate the help.

  • Satellite M40 - 142, stereo audio input

I can 'stereo' record through the microphone in Satellite M40 - 142?
It is possible to have a line-input/output stereo or mono only?

    Hello

As far as I know the line output (headphone jack) allows the connection of stereo headphones (16 Ohm min.) or a different audio output device. When you connect headphones, the internal speaker is automatically disabled. The input line (Jack Microphone) allows to connect a monaural microphone or other audio input device.

  • HP ENVY 700-210 Desktop PC: Windows 10 improved rear output loss taken audio input on desktop HP Envy

Beats and all software audio apps work fine after 10 window installed. but I lost out in all but one of my audio jacks back during playback using any audio application (Media Player, Cakewalk, etc.).  I went to manage audio devices on the control panel and to configure/test the speakers/headphones and I went out on the set of the back to my speakers during the test; but, not for playback of audio applications.

I found a solution.  After the announcement of this question, I went through the different options for audio and put to update my sound driver.  Since I got a response from the Microsoft Community ( http://answers.microsoft.com ) forum which confirms this.

    > Go to Device Manager (press Windows + X, select Device Manager button.

    > Locate the audio adapter.  In my case, I had two entries for audio devices, "Audio inputs and outputs" and "audio, video, and game controllers.

    > I updated the driver for "IDT High Definition Audio CODEC" under "audio, video and game controllers".   It worked.

    > I had to reboot twice before it takes effect.

    > It seems that it is the same driver for 'Speakers/headphones' under ' Audio inputs and outputs.

    > Update drivers is reversible using the button "revert to the version.

    Hello!

I just wanted to share a few experiences. When I shot down my system to Windows XP edition family of pre-installed Vista (Satellite A100) I went to the support section of the official site of Toshiba and downloaded all available for my laptop to XP. And everything has been working fine until now. Oh, I think this chipset driver I got from the Intel site.

Maybe try to re - install some components like chipset driver (as the audio is embedded)?

    Good luck!
