H8-1414 office envy: no sound

Sound has stopped working.

Worked very well for weeks after the upgrade to Windows 10.

I deleted the device in the device driver deletion Manager. Added.

No sound rear connector or jack before (helmet). Have tested with multiple speakers and headphones.

Have a monitor with Display Port that sounds and that works very well.

Default audio device activated, that's fine.

Its Board of Directors would be bad? It is in the motherboard?

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Hello:

There is no audio driver W10 on your PC support page.

Have you tried the W8.1 driver?  If this isn't the case, that give a try.  Install and restart the PC.

This package provides the driver for the solutions Audio IDT high definition in the supported models that are running an operating system supported.

    Nick, welcome to the forum.

You can use any standard ATX power supply unit (PSU).  I always recommend measuring the PSU existing and comparing measures to whichever you choose, however.  I love Corsair products.  Also, I recommend at least 500W; 600W is even better for future updates.

  • without speakers my office has no sound

At Christmas, I bought a HP envy, office 700-019 who has beats audio, no pregnant purchase separately, I have no sound, is this how this desktop computer is delivered or is there a problem with the audio.

With attached speakers, I get sound great, but why is audio beats announced with the PC if the speakers are to buy separately. My spouse bought a LG 23 inch monitor as gift to go with the new office.

This new office is windows 8 and I have not upgraded to 8.1 because when my husband updated his cell phone he caused his crash and we need assistance to help us to do a full restore and put windows 8 back because he still has too many bugs with windows 8.1.

I hate windows 8 and would like to know if it would be possible to downgrade to windows 7 proffessional without my warranty is cancelled.

Desktop computer have generally not pregnant unless they are external.  So unless there are speakers in the box, then you have taken proper care.  I got another one with the same question, and unless the monitor has speakers, then external speakers are needed.

On the other issue, it seems that the installation of Windows 7 cannot void the warranty, as HP does not support the operating system other than him.

  • 800-002-a Phoenix envy: no sound on the desktop computer running Windows 10

The Bureau uses the built-in IDT High Definition Audio Codec 92HD68E2 and there is no audio output from the headphone plug at the top of the ports page e/s or one of the two audio ports - speaker audio or audio line-out. I tested the speakers and the headphone on other devices and they work perfectly, so either making detection doesn't have or the problem is deeper than that.

I tried without success to the following:

    1. Uninstall and reinstall the audio codec;
    2. Uninstall and remove the audio codec, then download and put it back in place.
    3. Open the sound control panel on the taskbar to see what shows on the Read tab - that is to say:
    • The speakers/headphones and headset Communication going from "not connected" to "ready" when headphones are connected to the headphone jack high. No sound in the headset
    • There is no change in the display when the speakers are connected to the audio ports.

The only sound I get is a second monitor with internal speakers connected by a DVI cable. The problem may be related to the upgrade of the OS from Windows 8.1 to 10 but I can't be certain that I have not really tried to listen to audio files from the upgrade. Any help I can get would be most appreciated.

    Hello:

See if the audio driver IDT W10 works for you...

This package provides the Tempo IDT High Definition Audio Driver for assumption of office models that are running a supported operating system.

    File name: sp71717.exe

If the driver above does not either, there is workaround that you can try to get at least the noise at work...

Go to Device Manager and click to expand the category of audio, video and game controllers device.

    1. Select IDT High Definition Audio CODEC under this category.

    2. Select the driver tab.

    3. click on Update Driver... button.

4-> select Browse my computer for driver software.

    5. Select-> Let pick me from a list of drivers for devices on my computer.

    6. Select Audio device high definition (not IDT high def...)  "This is important). and click Next.

A warning message may appear, but click Yes.

7 Windows has updated your driver software.

    8 restart the PC.

    The key is step 6.

  • 32 envy: no sound on HP Envy 32 via mini DisplayPort to DisplayPort cable on Mac mini

I recently bought a HP Envy 32 monitor and hooked it up to my Mac mini using a mini DisplayPort (i.e. Thunderbolt) DisplayPort cable. The video works fine @ 2560 x 1440, but I have no sound. The output sound in references to system preferences "the selected device has no output settings" for the 32 envy. The sound works fine when I use a HDMI cable, but then, the resolution is limited to 1080 p. The Mac mini is a mid 2011 model, which is able to transfer the audio via DisplayPort, SAA as far as I know. Any suggestion on how to solve this problem?

Figured out how to get mini-displayport audio to work with the HP Monitor (I have a Macbook Air)

In addition to choosing the HP monitor HP ENVY 32 audio in the PREFERENCES SYSTEM-> SOUND->-> OUTPUT

An adjustment should also be made to the AUDIO and MIDI CONFIGURATION.  You can either do a search for it in the finder, or it is in APPLICATIONS-> UTILITIES-> setting up Audio and MIDI

    1. Open the app
    2. In the left menu, select DisplayPort
    3. Format of... Replace with 48000,0 Hz 2-channel 24-bit wide

Once changed, you should be playing audio from your monitor.

    Good luck.

    Hello

    Try the following.

Download the Realtek HD Audio Installer on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp72001-72500/sp72117.exe

When finished, press and hold the Windows key and press R

In the run window, type devmgmt.msc and press to enter.

In Device Manager, expand sound, video and game controllers.  Right click on the Realtek device and select uninstall - also, you should get a command prompt to delete the current driver, check the box allow this and then proceed to uninstall.

When you are finished, download and reinstall the Chipset driver at the following link.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp72001-72500/sp72105.exe

When the reinstallation of Chipset is finished, stop the laptop.

Disconnect the power adapter.  Hold button power supply for 20 seconds, then release it.  Reinsert the battery and plug in the AC adapter.

Robinet tap away at the key esc that you start the computer to launch the Start Menu, and then select f10 to open the bios menu.  Press f9 to load the default values (sometimes it is f5, but the menu below indicates the correct key), use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press ENTER.  Press f10 to save the setting and still use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press on enter.

When windows has reloaded, open your download folder, right click on the installer of Realtek and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  Once this done, reboot the laptop and let windows load completely for a few minutes before checking.

  • m6-1178ea audio HP envy beats sound fluctuations and low windows 8.1 (no compatible drivers)

    Hello

I have a laptop hp envy beats audio m6-1178ea. everything worked great until I upgraded to (forcibly) to windows 8.1. Since then, the audio has reduced in quality, power. The control panel with EQ does nothing. Small changes with the sidebar on the left, but in general the sound is it good and really low. When I plugin speakers or earphones, it's even worse, the quality declines more, the sound comes only out really low and flat, no bass and also varies a lot. (for example when I plugin the speakers for 1 second the sound is good and strong, and then he goes down and fluctuate). I have lived many forums like this one, I used the latest drivers (which are more than a year), I used the default windows drivers that disables audio beats, still nothing.

All solutions? Microsoft, HP will lead to a solution and the correct drivers?

Just got this system 2 days ago. Apparently there is no sound associated with this monitor.  I'll have to buy speakers? I did have a system of office for many years. Where would I plug in speakers? I looked at the back of the monitor. Don't see any type of connection. Please help me!

    Hello:

Yes, you need to buy a set of speakers for computers and they plug into the back of PC Tower, not the monitor.

Here is the link to the section of the motherboard of your PC and the ports are marked as to where things hook up to.

You would connect the speaker plug in port number # 8.
