H9-1135 phoenix upgrade graphics card inquiry, please help!

I am hoping to update my video graphics card. Can my Phoenix H9-1135 (stock to date system) support this video graphics card?

GIGABYTE GV - N760OC - 4GD GeForce GTX 760 4GB 256 - bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 HDCP Ready gets 3 X 450W video card

Posted below are the video graphic specifications for my Phoenix H9-1135: graphic video

Here are the specifications of your desktop HP Pavilion HPE h9-1135 Phoenix. You will need to ensure that power plant is rated at a minimum of 500 watts and has at least a 6 connector pins and a connector 8 pin for the graphics card GTX 760. In addition, that the card is long 11.5 ", you need to measure along the plane of the PCIe x 16 location at the rear of the case more far to determine if there is enough space for the map. If you find all the obstacles before reaching approximately 12 ", the map is inappropriate.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

I want to know if I could put in an Nvidia Geforce GTX 980 instead of the 745 GTX graphics card. Reading this post on the forum (http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktop-Hardware/Upgrade-My-HP-ENVY-Phoenix-810qe-Desktop/td-p/4679014) I know that the computer has a power of 500w. But in the post, that it seemed that the person asking the question just had basic computer and had not adapted it, and I still have to wonder if the customization that I did for my computer took more watts of the PSU.  Now that I know that the GTX 980 would need 500 all the watts that my computer can offer that I want to know if my computer is perhaps still able to run this beast of a GPU. Anyone have any ideas? If this isn't the case, I think I can just settle for a Geforce GTX 960 because who needs to 400 w of total power of the system. But I'm not even sure that would work on my current computer either. Any help?

can I upgrade graphics card on pavilion dm 4?

    Laptops are unlike desktop computers.

Desktop PC have an open architecture that make the relatively simple upgrade.

PC laptop and portable access to the e/s available and put at level of the slots through the doors of the inspection and often almost total disassembly.

Laptops are also limited by the BIOS and the physical attributes systemboard on the video modules and wireless can be used for upgrades.

A BIOS of the laptop has a white list of the modules that are acceptable. If a module wireless or video is not on the whitelist, then it cannot be used. If a notebook THAT BIOS found during the POST (power on self test) as a module not on the white list has been installed it will warn you and it won't start the laptop computer in the operating system installed.

If money is no object you can update the video through an exotic external graphics solution like Vidock Gfx.

  • Z1 HP - upgrade graphics card! Help, please!

    Hello world.

First of all I would like to say my knowledge of graphics cards is very limited so if you would be kind enough to explain things to me step by step. Thank you

So I bought a Z1 - model WM427EA #ABU - and have already updated the RAM, I want to update the graphics card because AFAIK that comes with my model is completely s * the graphics on borderlands (game) look terrible on my Z1 and shiny on my new classmates Vaio all-in-one. I played with the graphics settings in the game without success.

I looked inside the Z1 and couldn't find something that looks like a graphics card. I looked at other models - one with the quadro 4000 - and they seem to have a black box, one on the left side while mine was just an empty space: s. According to most of the sites I have a card/controller "Intel HD Graphics 2000 Dynamic Video Memory Technology."

It would be possible for me to say buy a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680 (http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/gpu.php?gpu=GeForce+GTX+680 & id = 41) and paste it into my machine? I noticed that there a housing as if she had to go in a tower. I should locate and remove the controller/original graphics card before I could install it?

I really hope HP havnt done so its only compatible with some cards. Which would defeat the purpose of the machine being easily expandable...

Any help appreciated, thanks a lot

    Chris

PS you can get the specifications to

    http://www.equanet.co.UK/catalogue/item/it-equipment/computers/computer-workstations/HP-workstation-...

Make sure it is the Xeon E3-1245v2 if you intend to do this (noting the "v2" at the end)

It's a new architecture than the E3-1245 ("v1" If you want) and the v2 has a major upgrade to the graphics capabilities on the former model, will perform a little better for the CPU to destination as well tasks. It should work more fresh and quieter too, as an added bonus. It should not cost more than either a v1.

You can buy units in a sales package retail or OEM (just naked CPU). You get a heat sink with the retail package, but you don't use it. There is not generally a big cost difference between the two, however, perhaps only a few £/ $ extra for the retail box. I tend to hesitate to ebay, unless I can't avoid it (as with the MXM cards). You have problems to find a 1245v2 to stock from several reputable providers and potentially get a better deal on ebay also.

Replace the CPU isn't too difficult, but I recommend checking out a few guides before you try it yourself - I don't dive in details here on a generic CPU swap because there is nothing I can say that google or youtube will not tell you 10 times more.

There is nothing particularly unique about the replacement of the CPU in the Z. The cooler is set by a few screws and simply lifts off once they are free (and the fans are disconnected from the motherboard).

Once it is off, clean the bottom with something that won't leave a residue (e.g., not something as a solvent for nail polish with perfumes etc.. I use TIM Akasa cleaner and it works very well). Decliper and open setting around the CPU, pop in the new processor carefully, noting the location indicated by the arrow in the corner of the CPU lines until the arrow on the socket. Re-engage the strain relief and apply little thermal grease directly on the CPU (there are many on the market, I use Arctic Silver 5). Make sure not to apply too much grease, you're going to a very thin layer, better youtube it for technique.

Then all that remains is to replace the cooler (making sure not to forget to plug back in), close the PC and fire.

EDIT: One more thing-update your BIOS to the latest version before swap you the processors, it could not start with the E3-1245v2 with a BIOS earlier, which gives you a nice 'Uh Oh' moment, before realizing you have to UN-swap and then re - Exchange processors again.

  • EliteBook 8760W: possibilities to upgrade graphics card

I currently have 8 gig RAM and graphics AMD over-pants M5950. About to upgrade to 16 gig which is max for this (Intel Core i7-2630QM @ 2.00 GHz) processor.  "While I'm here why not upgrade the graphics card?" he asked. The notewbook is 4.5 years.  So, here's my question.  What might work for a new graphics card?  Thanks in advance.

We usually say to people flat out "no upgrade is possible". In your case, not true. You already have a good map. However, the other candidate is the nVidia Quadro 5010 M which is a beast with 4 GB of memory video memory DDR5.

    http://www.notebookcheck.NET/NVIDIA-Quadro-5010M.47195.0.html

    Here is the Service Manual:

    http://h20628.www2.HP.com/km-ext/kmcsdirect/emr_na-c02847569-1.PDF

See p. 68 to see how the video card comes out.

    http://www.eBay.com/ITM/Dell-NVIDIA-Quadro-5010M-4GB-GDDR5-M6600-video-card-N12E-Q5-A1-/251500680424?hash=item3a8e9bd4e8:g:zT4AAOxyBvZTRMPp

If you switch to nVidia, you also get a different fan/radiator for the video card:

Intended only for computers models NVIDIA graphics subsystems 652544-001

Your video card can be bought on eBay for under $ 60, while the Quadro 5010 M costs more than $600 in order to see how much more desirable is the Quadro. You can also search other AMD/ATI cards that are not specified in the maintenance manual, but it's very hit or miss. On the some portable (removable) MXM cards with, they are not universally interchangeable. There are Web sites for only MXM card information and you can see one of them:

    http://forums.laptopvideo2go.com/Forum/67-official-MXM-upgradecom-Forum/

As you can see this isn't really a trivial question and must consider and plan carefully. Not just a "Hey while we're here we might as well" kind of thing.

    Concerning

    Mehul_Mishra

Sorry, but you operate in a misunderstanding.  Your PC is a laptop computer and, unlike desktop computers, it uses no graphics "cards".

Instead, it uses graphics 'modules' - and what makes these different, is that they involve the graphics chip is soldered to the system board.  This means that you will need to disassemble the entire PC to replace the motherboard just to change the graphics chip.

This would have to do to an HP Service Center - which means that it will cost you easily several hundred dollars, maybe more replacement laptop in its entirety!

"process because the right of keyboards above the hard drive then buy a card off a Nvida site hope this has given is a man of hope"

Can anyone comment on what I would like to be able to upgrade my P20.

    Richard

    Hi Richard

Update graphics card is serious theme and my only comment to that is: pick up serious source info and not in the forum where everyone can say learn all about laptops.

Sorry, but I'm still a little skeptical about some of the comments. I had P20 for about a year and a half and it is very nice for laptop (desktop replacement). The unit is powerful enough and with max RAM you can have a very nice unit. But never forget that this device is not so flexible as desktop computers for the hardware upgrade.

Another thing: a few months ago, I googled around and searched some independent reseller (non-Toshiba) where I can buy parts of different material. I can tell you one. You can get everything but they don t offer updated graphics card. Guess why!

Good speed with upgrade, but please don t claim later that the unit is too hot or too strong, maybe or anything else!

  • 550-153w upgradeing graphics card

I bought a desktop hp 550-153w a few months ago and against hepatitis has noticed that this isn't some of the MMORPG of veneer was quickly I want (crashes/gel/gal). I want tograde my graphics card which is currently an Intel(r) hd 4400 to use a more powerful card that can handle the graphics in these games. the problem is that I have never upgraded a befor office and am unsure of what I need to map or if I have to put anything ells (CPu or cooling or such). im still not sure if the graphics card is integrated or dedicated.

    Kody, welcome to the forum.

Here are the Specifications of the product for the computer.

There are two main things you need to know when buying a video card: 1) the power needed to run the card properly and 2) the length of the card.

The power supply unit (PSU) in the computer is an internal 180W.  It's not nearly enough power to run any of the newer cards.  Most of the newer cards requires a minimum of 400W.  This means that you will need to upgrade the PSU also.  I normally recommend at least 500W.  Corsair has done some very good products.  A modular power supply in a box size average, that's what I prefer.  It allows you to use only the cables that are absolutely necessary, allowing a better circulation of air inside the case.  This reduces the heat.

Now for the video card.  I love EVGA cards.  They make good products and have a very good team of Technical Support.  Here is a video card that would work well for the games you play.  You should read the reviews to see what users have to say about it.

  • P7-1490 upgrade graphics card and power supply

I just got a GEFORCE GTX 650TI stimulate the graphics card.  The 300 watt Power Supply on my P7-1490 can't handle it because I need a 6-pin power connector.  The 1490 comes with a 300 Watt power supply.  I need something at least 450 watts.  What upgrade adapts to my box.  Also, the Jasmine motherboard can handle the new graphics card.  It fits into the PCI Express slot.

Please look at the Corsair CX500, CX600, CX500M, or CX600M power supplies for your needs. Yes, the card of mother Jasmine in your p7-1490 should be able to manage the GTX 650 it. In addition, you need to enable 'Secure Boot' and possibly 'Legacy Support' in the BIOS before installing the GTX 650 it.
