  It is a fairly common question in the forum. The solution depends on how you want to implement a solution. With Forms 6i, there are basically two options at your disposal. First; Send the email through the database using the UTL_SMTP. Oracle has published several years ago, called Demomail, but for some reason, they have not published this document. Fortunately, I published a document (PL/SQL: send an E-mail from the database) which uses a modified version of the demomail of Oracle package. Depending on your version of the database, you might be able to use the utl_mail package. The UTL_MAIL package is the evolution of the whole of demomail and is now included in RDMBS 10 g or higher.

  The second option is to use OLE to link to MS-Outlook and allows you to send an email Outloook. According to my experience, it is the most problematic solution. There are many messages in the forum that demonstrate the sending of mail through Outlook, so I recommend that you search the forum for these examples, if you are interested in this option.

  If your application is deployed on the web, there is a third option; which is to send emails with a JavaBean. If you are interested in this option, take a look at email with the body html and attachments to local file.

  I created a process of email send with multiple attachments. I allow the user to enter text from freeform to 4000 characters. I created a page process, before the process of email send to split text into 1000 pieces of char data and recompiled back together in: P4_MSG_BODY text box. Most of the time, the process works fine, except that it sometimes freezes, and the administrator will see that the process is CPU. I can't understand what could cause this problem.   As you say, your problem may be in the send e-mail section.
  Some things that you should check.

  01. this email works do not at all? not the only conditions selected workking?
  02 check the connection to the mail server when you get this problem (you can do a simple ping on the server of db apex to the mail server)
  03. don't frame server configured correctly for use e-mail?

• Creating form LiveCycle - send e-mail button

  I created a form in LiveCycle with a button to send by e-mail.  The button works for me and another person for which I created the form.  However, now that I'm testing this form with other users the send e-mail button does not work.  When users click the submit click blue button but no response.  Because it was created in LiveCycle do I need to do something for enbed functionality in the form.  The steps in the help file have yielded no results.

  This could be expected features (without knowing the system or the answer to the question, it is impossible to say) - they can be the recipient for many processes.

  Possible causes if this isn't a feature expected - email address is configured as a substitution for the sender e-mail address; the sender is onlynotifying a test email address; the user is configured as the approver / recipient for many processes (e.g. SOUL is not configured correctly and all approvals go to the same person).

  You have apparent dbx file corruption.

  Spend most of your messages out of the Inbox and then create new folders to send and sent items box after having moved the messages you want to save to a local folder that you create.

  Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.

  In Windows XP, Win2K & Win2K3 the OE user files (DBX and WAB) are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in Windows Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder Options icon | Opinion, or in Windows Explorer. Tools | Folder options | View.

  With OE closed, find the DBX files for the items in the Outbox and sent and delete them.  New ones will be created automatically when you open OE.

  After you're done, followed by compacting your folders manually while working * off * and do it often.

  Click Outlook Express at the top of the the folder tree so no folders are open. Then: File | Work offline (or double-click on work online in the status bar). File | Folder | Compact all folders. Don't touch anything until the compacting is completed.

  General precautions for Outlook Express:

  Do not archive mail in the receipt or sent items box. Create your own user-defined folders and move messages you want to put in them. Empty the deleted items folder daily. Although the dbx files have a theoretical capacity of 2 GB, I recommend all a 300 MB max for less risk of corruption.

  I entered all the text in the first box above. It was intended to provide an accurate description, with specific examples, the problem I had.

  However, further investigation, stated that the problem only occurred when the original text was seized by an account. As a result, I just found out the signature html for this account file was damaged and contained a lot of invisible extra hardware, which the text identified by the spell check.

  Recreate a clean version of the signature for the account file solved the problem.
