Had three calls to the Indian technical support in a week want to analyze errors

Hello

last week I had THREE Indians ring (very thick accents) my home people, informing me that I need to turn my computer on while they can "analyze" mistakes supposedly my computer was sent to Windows.  When asked WHO they are, where they come from, I want a RETURN, BUSINESS phone number. The phone is dead.  Anyone having this problem?
In addition, Windows would be really would sound to me?
Thank you

Fake phone calls to technical support

Calls unrequested telephone of this nature are almost always a common scam. Do not let them give any info, do not give access to your PC, not give them all the money and do not go to all the websites that they suggest. One moment.

Please see:

http://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/security/online-privacy/msname.aspx .

Microsoft issues never not solicited for phone calls of support or security.

These types of callers can use completely fictitious names or bogusly claim to be of real companies other than Microsoft as well.

I got a call saying they were technical support from Microsoft, they called for my pc was hacked and sent error messages. I was not too su re, but they had me enter a code on the pc, and it showed a list of more than 50 error messages, they said that they had received. Then, they control that is given to them for the mouse and seized a lot of information showing me the problems. Then he said warns me on; those pirates I needed a special program. "Alpha PC maintenance" and for 3 years, it would be $ 135. Now I don't know if it was the real scoop or I fell for a big pile of *! I could use the theory, I'm a senior, but I think I should have been smarter. What should I do now that they've been in the pc? Thank you JAFTX

  • I received a phone call from someone who said they were the Windows technical support. I did not understand the person that he was a stranger

The person calling said he could give me a technical support for problems that they had detected with my computer, but he seemed surprised when I said that I had problems with my computer.  I did not understand a lot of what he was saying because of his foreign accent.  Can someone tell me what it is?  I don't think that I may have a virus, but Windows actually call for help?

You were lucky that you could not understand him and so do not buy what he was selling.  It was a scam.  Microsoft does not make unsolicited phone calls.

Insofar as thought, you could have a virus...

    • What version of Windows (XP Home, XP Pro, Vista, etc) and Service Pack (none, 1, 2, 3) is installed? If you are unsure, do a click right my computer and select properties for information.
    • What is the name and version of your anti-virus program?  Is his current subscription and has it always been updated?
    • What other security software is installed (names and versions)?
    • What are the symptoms?  That's what are you see you do not, you should see or what is you don't see don't you think you should?  Please report the full text of the error message without paraphrase.
    • What happened to your computer shortly before the symptoms started?  Power outage (including pulling them out the plug or by pressing the off button); use of a registry cleaner, optimizer, tuner, etc. ; installation of an update (only one?). Another thing that you can identify.
  • I received phone calls from the apparent 'technical Microsoft LCC online'?

I continue to receive phone calls daily from the apparent 'technical Microsoft LCC online' they say mistakes keep produce and seem very determined to get in touch, but I'm suspicious because I don't know how they got my phone number and they will not stop me. Knows one of them? It's a legitimate support service or they're trying to scam me?

It's a scam and with various names and phone numbers, is
    becomes more common lately.

In addition to their money get on your part to do anything of any value,
If you leave them in your computer, which knows what losses they did are
    where confidential information they stole.

So if you have done so, I highly recommend that you do both of the following
    immediately:

1 do a clean reinstall of Windows.
    2. change all of your passwords, especially banks or other
    financial sites.

  • Random phone calls to the Microsoft Technical Department telling me that my system will send our alerts.

I continue to receive phone calls of an 'Indian' Lady telling me that it comes from the Microsoft Technical Department and tried to tell me my computer sends messages of error for them.  I assumed that it is a scam to get my data from the computer and were simply hang up.  Microsoft never ring?

Your instincts are correct. Unfortunately, it is a very common phenomenon. Partners and Microsoft representitives not to make any of these calls. None. Never.

I received an email on June 16, four days ago. Indicating that I can cancel my payment since MAY 17.

  • error 0 x 4001100200001005 if the problem persists contact the Dell technical support

    System - Dell inspiron 15 R 5521, windows 8, intel 1.8 GHz i5 cpu 3337U

My HARD drive crashed 3 weeks ago, so I'm trying to install windows on my new HARD drive 8 my DVD backup created by the recovery and backup dell. I constantly get this error "error 0 x 4001100200001005 if the problem persists contact Dell support.

In reading several threads on this forum, it seems that I need to windows OEM disks , but I can't find any disk (except suite multimedia cyberlink dvd) in the box of my laptop. Please help me I am stuck with the system of death. I don't want to buy a new license of windows.

Finally I solved this problem and for anyone with similar problems I share the solution

The problem in my case is that my DVD backup has been corrupted (I don't know how) and so the error 0 x 4001100200001005 is coming

Now the problem is How to restore an OEM (preinstalled) windows if you lose the HARD drive and backup

First of all remember that the Windows preinstalled on your system comes with a key. If you do not have a physical backup of key do not worry your System Bios will be the key embedded in them. So even if you lose your HARD drive, you can still recover your key of any software, as show touches them more.

Here are the steps to reinstall a windows OEM

1 get your key to windows by any software (R/W all or show key etc..)

    2. also note the version of your original windows as Home, professional, business, or other unique language. It is essential to know the exact version of your windows or the key will not work.

    3. now download the same version of windows from anywhere (as getintopc.com)

    4. take in any mount external drive the ISO file and run the Setup program

    5. now, here's a Tip - when windows prompts you for a key, do not enter your OEM key not because she will reject everything just saying is not the correct key for this version of windows (I don't know why?)

Instead of your key Windows keys generic to complete the installation.

6 now's done it once your windows is installed, you can go to computer > properties and activate windows to connect to an internet connection (easier) and if you have no internet try the phone activation (use your key has been recovered while activating and not the generic key).

    That's all

Hope It will help someone. :)

Download of the ipa to apple works a week ago, now has the error "ERROR-ITMS-9000:"this set is not valid. " The file is not an application valid bundle. "' to the SoftwareAssets/SoftwareAsset (MZItmspSoftwareAssetPackage)" I tried the latest beta of air sdk 14 and have the same result. Someone said, there you will find "Info.plist". Open it and look for DTXcodeBuild and DTXcode, they must be 5B 1008 and 0511 respectively. but can't I change before I publish the ipa?

I installed the latest version of the application loader, 2.9 and it works again.

  • (Redirected) The Dell technical support is catastrophic.

I got an Alienware M14x end may, 2013. A few months, about 3 pixels grilled and a USB port stops working. Instead of just replace parts and sending it to me, they're sending me a 4th gen 14 Alienware, brand new, top-of-the-line. It was but a curse in disguise. 4 months in the use of this 14 Alienware, I noticed that the Ethernet port (which I never use) was not working when the only option to connect to a certain location was Ethernet. So, here I am, 06/17/14, call them, and they say that the computer is out of warranty, which is silly because with a new computer comes a new warranty. I will try to have my money refunded and replace my game machine with another manufacturer. I heard that some MSI computers are very good...

    This is false.

When a Dell computer is replaced with a new one under warranty, it does not come with a new guarantee, he assumes the existing security of the computer being replaced, including the expiry date of the guarantee.

  • I don't have an error code. I play Aion with windows 7, it starts and runs really nice on max settings. The problem is that the computer shut down just when he wants to without error or explanation please help.

Is there a way to know why your pc stops the poeople HP say this is a problem of windows 7 and can not help.

It could be that the computer is running a little on the hot side and the thermal protection has kicked. One of the down sides to get a pre-generated computer who is yo have no control over the thermal limits. Try to blow out the dust accumulated inside the computer, just him ensure that the computer is turned off and unplugged before you open the side of your computer. You might need a couple of compressed air or one of these mini vacuum computer systems that can act as a fan as well. I hope this helps.
