Halo 2 error?

I get an error message when you try to install the game...

http://img693.imageshack.us/img693/512/27252568.jpg

my account is the admin...

Help, please

cuzimauz,
I'm going to assume that you are not on a domain network (if you are the system admin would have to be consulted).  Here are a few steps to try.

Perform a clean boot and then try to install.

Copy the contents of the CD to a folder on your hard drive and try the install was from there.

Make sure Windows is fully updated.  Right-click on the configuration file and select run as administrator.

  • NumericStepper with stepSize = 0,1 the NaN value

    I have a spark NumericStepper:

    < s:NumericStepper value = "0" stepSize = "0.1" / >

    When I first click on the NumericStepper component to increment the value, it goes from "0" to "0.1", it's ok.

    But when I click again to increment or decrement, it displays "NaN".

    To debug the NumericStepper and it seems that my default locale is fr_FR and waits as the decimal separator ',' instead of '. '.

    But if I try to put stepSize = '0.1' I have a compilation error because 0.1 cannot be cast as a number.

    Is this a bug? is there a work around to have a french decimal stepSize with locale?

    There are really two separate issues:

    (1) halo NumberValidator error validation for decimal values when locale is set to fr_FR

    (2) Spark NumericStepper doesn't change separator decimal, based on locale

    I will file a separate issue for the issuance of NumberValidator Halo.  Introduced by Bill can be used to track the decimal separator not changing not based on the locale.

    To work around the problem, you can change the way the value is displayed by the NumericStepper component using the valueFormatFunction and the valueParseFunction.

    For example, the following text replaces the "." decimal separator with a «,»

    private void myFormatFunc(val:Number):String
    {
    Return val.toString ().replace(".",",");
    }

    private void myParseFunc(val:String):Number
    {
    var stringVal:String = val.replace (",",".");
    Return Number (stringVal);
    }

  • Halo: Combat Evolved for PC works only on Windows Vista - Error Message "" unload the debugger, and then try again."

    I'm having a problem running Halo: Combat Evolved on Windows Vista. I can insert the disc and install the game without problem. The problem is that when I try to launch the game, I get error message saying "" unload the debugger, and then try again." I tried to install some of Halo patches to see if that would fix the error (for example, 1.6 and 1.7), but when I try and open the patch .exe file I get an error message telling me to go to a microsoft Web site or try to update the game manually. In addition, I tried to contact Gearbox Software to see if they could help me, all they said was to contact Microsoft.

    Does anyone have any suggestions as to why the game does not work for me and how can I make it work?

  • Halo 2 Vista Error Message "invalid product key".

    I bought Halo 2 for Vista last week. I installed, updated with the latest patch and connected with my Live account. When the program tries to download my Live profile it gave me the error "invalid product key". I contacted the seller on Amazon and told him my problem. He contacted Microsoft and verify that the product key was valid and he told me to reinstall and make sure that all software is up-to-date. I grabbed a spare hard drive and install a new copy of Vista and done all updates to Windows. Then I installed the latest drivers for video card, I installed Halo 2. I downloaded and installed the latest patch for Halo 2 and the last program of Windows Live. After all this (about 3 hours), I still get the same message. Anyone at Microsoft have a solution to this? I get the message after logging in to my live account inside Halo 2. I googled the question and it seems to be quite common, however, I have yet to see a fix. Help, please.

  • Loading error when you try to load the Halo 2 "files are missing or damaged in the installation directory. A few important files required to run this game are missing from the installation directory.

    Original title: load error when you try to load Halo 2

    People at Microsoft, I have a problem trying to load Halo 2 on my dv7 Paviliaon with Vista and the 2.8 GB Intel Centrino 2 processor. When I try and load the game, I get and error stating: "the files are missing or damaged in the installation directory. A few important files required to run this game are missing from the installation directory. "It bothered me for several reasons. One: the disc that I use is an original disc out of the box so hsould have no problem. Two: the game has been loaded previously on the same computer without apparent problem at the time. It has been deleted (don't remember why) and when I tried to reinstall, the error came. Three: I did as recommended and updated all programs and drivers, nothing works. So my question is, how do I reinstall Halo 2 and what this problem will arise if I decide to buy and load Halo 3?

    Thank you for your time in advance.

  • When you try to run Halo 2 in Vista or Windows 7 get error "Gaming Live on Windows failed to Initialize"

    Hello

    I have recently upgraded to Windows 7 from Vista, at which point my Halo 2 Vista stopped working, give me a message "Live Gaming on Windows failed to Initialize."  The game would not start it gave me this error message.

    So, after reading a few suggestions and try to uninstall about everything, I started with a fresh new install of Windows 7.  The first and the only thing installed on the PC was Halo 2 Vista, but I got the SAME message.  I tried to update the game, all of the updates of Windows and Windows Live for Windows, but the game does not start.

    In addition, I tried http://www.microsoft.com/games/halo2/, however when the aid application and entering my product ID on the box it says there is a problem even if it is the same product ID, I turned on the game with.

    I am very angry at this point.  I really want to have to dual boot, especially as Halo 2 Vista lists as being Compatible with Windows 7.

  • Halo 2 Vista: Error has occurred.

    I studied all the possible ways to play Halo 2 Vista on my Windows 7 laptop. All have failed. The error I get is:

    LIVE gaming on Windows failed to initialize. Maybe it's because an another LIVE Gaming on Windows application (for example the dedicated server Halo 2) is running on the same computer. Otherwise, reinstall the game may fix this problem.

    Obviously other people wanting to run Halo 2 Vista on their computers received this (or other) error messages when you try to run the game on Windows 7.

    Before ask you, no, I don't have the Halo 2 dedicated server running or running other applications LIVE. Boot cleaning, resettlement and other options (including the search for solutions on the support page) have not solved this problem.

    Please do not give me links to other support pages or discussions to try to resolve this problem (or, more likely, we shut up). Microsoft, please solve this problem by making a patch or update of Halo 2 Vista, so it can work properly on Windows 7 - I love playing my games, but when there is no solution for the problems unsolved, I begin to lose respect and I hope for you guys.

    I really don't want to keep passing to the House of friends to play Halo 2 on a Windows Vista-based computer. Please, brainstom a solution for this. Several thousand (or more) people who now have Windows 7 want to play their old games with no problems.

    Thanks for reading,

    UBE head

    Follow these steps:

    C:\Program Files (x 86) \Microsoft Games\Halo 2/halo2.exe

    This works!

    When you initially download the game, he will put the icon startup.exe on your desktop that will NOT work. Also, if you go to start, and search 'Halo 2' this icon is the startup.exe for halo 2.

    Have fun.

  • Error with controls on Halo 2 PC using windows 7

    I recently bought halo 2 for the pc, but also a controller wired xbox 360. I installed all the drivers for the controller and installed the game fully before playing. When I play the game with the controller of my line of sight will pass rapidly around on the screen. So I'm going to aim a direction enemy will jump so I'll look at the ceiling then I'll try to bring back downstairs and he'll jump so I'm looking at the floor. It will be then an epileptic seizure for about 5 minutes with the screen jump around. I played with the controller on other games for windows and it works fine. Ive even reinstalled the game. When I try to play with the mouse and move it from one side of the button to another, the line of sight moves on a centimeter across the screen and then flashing shaking the screen crazily so it leads me to believe the game has problems. My computer is running Windows 7 64-bit, Nvidia GTX 275, 965 black edition AMD Phenom ii x 4 and 4 GB of ram.
