HARD 500 GB in 13-M100EIA SPLIT drive model

Hello

I hope that this is the appropriate place to ask this question...

I'm about to buy a Split X 2 but before I do, I want to know if:

1. a 500 GB HDD can be installed inside the base of DIVISION 13 -M100EIA X 2.

2. If I can upgrade the RAM to 4 GB to 8 GB

Thank you.

Your logic is impeccable. I'd do it myself if I were you, too. There is not a manual for specific models, just for a series of models and it is the right one for the model you are asking about.

Hey everybody. I am looking for a SLIM CANVIO 2.5 "- 500 GB - SILVER - USB 3.0 driver for my Macbook pro." I can't get date part part Driver Downloads. Does anyone know how to get around this problem?

    See you soon

I assume you are talking about this HARD drive
    http://www.Toshiba.EU/hard-drives/portable/Canvio-slim-for-Mac/hdtd205esmda/

It is a USB HDD and it requires no driver

But he needs Max 900mA power (its USB3.0). This means that a USB 2.0 port common provides 500mA alone and probably you use a Y USB cable to connect the 2 USB ports HARD drive.

  • Seagate Hard Drive Firmware Update for the drive model: ST1000LM024

I have (HP Pavilion dv6-7180se Entertainment Notebook PC). All the drivers for this model installed correctly except the drivers Frimware (Seagate hard drive Firmware Update) and (PLDS Optical Drive Firmware Update). the first one says "this hard drive model is not supported. Model = ST1000LM024"but my hard drive came from the factory, so what is the practice solution to install this driver? images .view of problems:

    This is to seagate:

    and for PLDS:

    Need help. Thank you.

What mean of these messages, is that these "Firmware updates" do not apply to material in your specific computer. The two "Seagate Firmware Updates" are respectively for the hard drives of 250 GB / 320 GB and 500/750 GB hard drives. Your computer comes with a 1 TB hard drive, which is not subject to updates of the firmware. The "PLDS Optical Drive Update" is for another drive to CD/DVD only installed in your computer and also does not apply. There is no further action to take... Do not attempt to install these updates of firmware, because they do not apply to the hardware in your computer.

  • Compaq 8510w: replacement HARD drive models?

    Hello

I have a laptop Compaq 8510w (KE186EA; s/n CNU812285Y) with 200 MB of HARD drive installed. It is a Seagate ST9200420AS ('Momentus' family).

Yesterday, the CHKDSK utility found some bad sectors, so I want to replace the HARD drive. This Seagate model is no longer sold. What other HARD drive models are fully compatible with my laptop? My laptop has the peculiarity of "HP Drive Guard" who takes care of my HARD drive in the case of a shock, I wonder if this feature requires a 'special' model of the disk HARD must be installed.

I searched the web site of Seagate and other Momentus drives are listed there, but I'm not sure that they will fit my laptop; for example, none of them does support "shock protection" (or this function Seagate has nothing in common with HP Drive guard?).

UPD: and I also wonder if I can use an SSD, and if yes - what settings should it?

-Generally shorter readers won't be a problem, since readers usually rise in a way where the screws and SATA connectors are located at the same locations despite the height of the car. Just be careful not to exceed the height of the OEM disk (i.e. some of the 1 TB + drives that were 12 mm of height not suitable)

-SATA type is not important. SATA 3 Gb/s, SATA 6 Gbps or fastest readers will work fine, because their speed will be anyway limited by what the storage controller hardware supports.

D ' a generally, capacity have no impact on the production of heat. The 8510w, as a workstation type system, is designed to use the commands of higher performance. Newer players tend to be more thrifty in energy which means less heat. You should have no problem of compatibility based on the ability for any player < 2 TB.

Personally, I think that the benefits of the hybrid hard disks are largely overrated. If you want real performance boost, GB SSD - well worth the money, the performance difference is day and night from a physical disk more you don't have to worry about damage to the drive drops or movement.

  • drive hard 500 GB showing 465 GB

my new is500gb to drive hard, but after the XP installation window, I found the new HDD are showing only 465 GB. Why it doesn't show 500 GB. Where the 35 GB went. Please help me get back the same... My setup is ASUS P8H67-M LE WITH INTEL i3 PROCESSOR WITH 4 GB of RAM

The word "gigabyte" actually has two values. Referring to the size of the RAM and the file sizes, it includes a binary definition of 1024 to the power of 3 (1 073 741 824 bytes). For any other use, it is 1000 to the power of 3 (1,000,000,000). 500GB hard drive contains about 500 billion but only 465 GB characters in the jargon 'computer '. HARD drive manufacturers, naturally, to refer to the higher figure.

  • Larger and faster hard drive model T61 6458-CTO

6i would like to know which is the hard drive bigger and faster that I can buy for a T61 (6458-CTO).

It has a 80 GB hard drive, 5400 RPM and SATA interface (1.5 Gb/s).

Can I buy a SATA II (3 Gb/s, 500 GB and 7200 RPM) for this computer?

    Thank you.

    Jon

    > Buy a SATA II (3 Gb/s and 500 GB 7200 RPM) for this computer?

Yes, you can, however, due to limitations in the T61, there only a SATA I interface. This isn't really a problem because the drive itself is unable to transfer data at the maximum speed of the interface.

  • How can I copy my old hard hard 'C' to the new reader, "C" drive reports an error and I can not clone!

My 'C' drive is reported to be in danger of not, so I bought a new 500 GB drive which is currently housed in an external enclosure, my problem is I want to clone my old drive to my new but when I try an error is reported and the process stops.  I installed Win7 as an upgrade of Vista, so I can't mount the new drive as master, and then install Win7 because it will search the former Vista program before it will run. Is there a way I can install Win7 on my new record, at present in the external box connected via USB, and then exchange the reader to the PC to become my new 'C' drive and then individually copying my programs over the old 'C '?   I hope this makes sense, any help would be apprecisted.

Thank you, Peter pond in the United Kingdom.

If you have another hard drive, you can put in the case of external use Windows 7 builtin imaging app (Control Panel, Backup & Restore) to take a picture of the old hard disk Save external hard disk. You will also need to make the system repair disc to boot from to restore the image to new hard drive.

Once you're all set, install the new hard drive, boot from cd/dvd repair.

I was running Window 7 64-bit Ultimate on a laptop Asus N series with a Western Digital 500 GB HD with no problems. I buy a new Seagate 750 GB hard and sustained up to my computer using Macrium Reflect. When I restore my drive on the new Seagate 750 GB HD everything starts fine, but Windows Update does not work as in the post:

Windows 7 64-bit: Windows Update Service not working (but it runs in services.msc)

I went through everything in this announcement and nothing has worked. I have no idea what to try and I am deployed to Iraq with the army so I can very well take in anywhere to have watched or call technical support. Help, please!

First of all, thank you for your Service !

See if this hotfix solves the problem - an update that improves the compatibility of Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 with the Advanced Format drives is available
Be warned, if the following error occurs during the installation of the hotfix, it is the same mistake that the hotfix is intended to correct.

Setup has encountered an error: 0xc8000247

That is the same mistake noted in WindowsUpdate.log when updating fails

If the processor is Intel, you can update the fast Intel storage technology driver to resolve the error.
Suggest you check the ASUS website to see if they have a newer driver of TSRI.

Download HP update Intel Rapid Storage Technology driver
Error messages appear during the update of Windows, when you insert the card or using Live Mail
