Hard drive Info

I have a HP Envy Touchsmart M6 - k015dx Sleekbook. I thought to give it to my friend and the upgrade. However, I wanted to put a SSD and install some more memory. I'm curious how much of hard training this laptop is equipped with slots and how many memory slots. Also, I was wondering if this computer is supposed to have adaptive on the keyboard or screen lighting because I see an option for it in power options, but when I mess with it nothing changes other that manually change me the brightness.

Here is the Service Manual:

Manual

It certainly has a slot for a standard 2.5 inch wide hard drive (or SSD) and a location for a smaller drive hard mSATA (MSSD).

There are 2 RAM slots. It takes DDR3L (low voltage) 1600 mhz, 16 gb max.

Pages 34-36 to 39 for the memory and hard drive diagrams.

I don't see anything in the manual on a sensor of ambient light so I think only the brightness settings are controlled manually or when the power state changes.

If you have an accelerator WSSD with a standard hard disk drive, it is a bit more difficult that usual to install an SSD expand as boot drive. It is even more difficult to try to install a larger WSSD and use it as a boot drive. After the return if you want to try or the other. I won't go unless I know you want to do one of these things.

Hello, I saw online the other day a hard drive 3 TB for sale and thought 'Hot Dog', I have to have one of these, I went and ordered one.  It takes me a few days later and I thought 'cool' is going to have a boot of 3 TB drive, or so I thought, at least after several attempts I realized that my hardware just don't like the 3 TB drive.  Ive been looking on Internet and Im seen that there is a problem with the large size of this hard drive.  Something about the chipset and bios to have to support.

So here's my Question!  The hardware I will support 3 TB hard drives up to their full potential 3 TB?  I was able to format with windows as a secondary drive but he he only recognized as a hard drive to Go 746,39.

If my hardware can support recognizing all the 3 to how I have to format it?   What process should be done to get windows to recognize it?

  • If I format my pc and do not check the driver, then my hard drive is destroyed. Is this true?

    hard drive Info

HI.some people said that if the pc format and do not really check pilot the destroyed.is hard disk driver or is a fake.thank you

Formatting erases everything, including device drivers.  Driver hard drive is usually part of the motherboard (unless your drive is connected to a PCI card).

So once you reinstall Windows using the default SATA / IDE hard disk driver. Once you install the chipset driver for your matherboard you will use driver disk from the manufacturer of the computer or the motherboard.

  • Limitations of hard drive?

I just got off the coast of cat and was told that a 500GB hard drive would not work in my laptop, HP Pavilion dv9607us PC notebook. The basis of this info was a pdf file that showed that the largest drive available at HP is a 250 GB. Is it possible that the pdf file was written before that something big was available for my HP laptop? When I go into the bios, I don't see any hard drive info no matter what hard drive I have. With the 500 GB in the PC, I get a message during the system restore:

"This PC is not supported by the Rcovery disc system. You can continue to recover this system with these discs. »

Is there a way to get the pc to recognize 500 GB hard drive?

Price of HP for a 250GB is $147,25, I bought this Western Digital 500 GB for $72, making the price of HP by Go 4 times higher!

    Thank you

I posted here, hoping someone could tell me how to get the bios to recognize the HD, not to tell me where I could buy a smaller HD, but thanks anyway. In case anyone else is reading this thread, the answer is that my dv9607us will recognize a 500 GB HD and when HPs support told me otherwise, they were either trying to get me off the phone or were lying. My restore disks do not work and they lied again to say that being defective and that I would need to buy a game. You can create another series to find the file "HPCD. SYS"and delete (or rename it, where you need it in the future) of the drive C and HP recovery disc (it's both). Of course HP won't tell you that it is possible. I did this and my second set of recovery disks also won't do a restore of the system and after 8 emails, HP said that they will increase my restore disk problem to the top, but so far that doesn't mean anything.

The point is, I MAY be able to do a restore from the recovery partition but I can't restore disks and if my original drive should fail, take the partition to restore with it, I would be left without an operating system usable, even if I paid for it. Everyone who reads this should check to make sure that their restoration work records.

In addition, shame on HP for VERY bad customer service and the outright lie!

  • Need to HARD drive manufacturing date and warranty info

I have a Toshiba hard drive installed in my computer apple laptop by a company and I would like to know the news about it, like the date of manufacture and warranty info, disk hard P/N: MK7559GSXF and S/N: Y177COWMT

  • Equium A200 PSAE8E: Need info on memory and HARD drive upgrade

In the manual of my Equium A200 PSAE8E described the possibility for the user to add a second internal hard drive and upgrade the memory from 2 GB to 4 GB. This can be done by the end user without taking the laptop to the local service for repair.

I would like to order a 200 GB internal second hard drive, as well as to replace the 2 chips of 2 GB of Ram with 2 4 GB chips, but I find not the product ID for these modules, because it seems that this model of Toshiba psae8e is not registered for compatibility.

Someone has technical details about the product ID and the cost to be sure to order the right parts without compatibility issues?
    Thank you
    Paolo

    Hello

I would like to add some info on the second HARD drive on laptop Equium A200 upgrade.
As far as I know all the A200 are delivered with the second HARD drive location. This location is available, but not all phones of A200 could be improved with the second HARD disk, since it lacks the second HARD disk controller interface.

Therefore, you should be 100% sure if your laptop can handle the second HDD.
You can simply check this remove the cover of the location of the HDD on the second and check if the connection of the HARD disk is available.
If this isn't the case, then you cannot move the laptop with the second HARD drive.

    Now something about the memory.
I studied in the internet for some compatible modules and surprise, surprise ;)
    Found this wonderful site:
    http://www.orcalogic.co.UK/ASP/ProdType.asp?ProdType=30715&ft=m&St=3

According to the news the portable supports the DDR2 667 MHz (PC2-5300) 200-PIN SODIMM memory modules.

All parts such as memory or HARD drive can be ordered also with the service provider authorized in your country!

  • Pavilion g7 2325dx: info from the BIOS for a correct start of the drive to a new hard drive windows

My hard drive is dead and he needed replacement. Did. Had initially been Windows8, but upgraded to Windows 10. Impossible to re boot with drives of resettlement. Need BIOS startup specs, screen info to use disks.

    Hey Bettyboophume,

No worries! If you have recovery media, you should be able to put it in and have the laptop back on it. However, just in case where that is not the case for you, there is a document called configuration of the Boot in the BIOS system order.

The boot order can be configured on the Advanced tab in the BIOS Setup menu. The procedure for changing the boot order may vary according to the model of the computer.

HP Pavilion Notebook PC Maintenance and Service Guide of g7, on page 90, Chapter 7, backup, restore, and recovery (Windows 8) you will see that it says:

Change the order of computer startup if the computer does not restart in HP Recovery Manager, you can change the order of the computer startup, which is of the order of the devices listed in the BIOS where the computer searches the startup information. You can change the selection to an optical drive or a USB flash drive.

    To change the boot order:

    1. Insert the HP Recovery Media, that you have created.

    2 restart the computer.

    3. press on and hold esc while restarting the computer and then press f9 to boot options.

    4. Select the optical drive or you want to boot from USB flash drive.

    5. follow the on-screen instructions.

    I hope this helps!

I would like to know how it goes

  • Info for: mSATA SSD 80 GB and 750 GB hard drive (7200 RPM)

I buy the 14-2160SE Envy Beats Edition and it has a double drive; SSD HARD DRIVE &. I can't find any definitive info on the HP site or on the web. I am familiar with both types of readers, but not both on the same computer. How does it work? What is the purpose? If it switches automatically or pass them? And, especially, it works for the intended use? Although this is my first post, I'm a believer in public forums, so I don't know that I'll be back as soon as I got my desire. Thanks in advance for your help. Sam

The 80 GB SSD can contain the operating system and the 750 GB hard drive will be for storage. SSDS are very (very) fast but expensive, so you can get the speed without the monstrous price advantage by combining a little cheaper SSD with a hard drive for storage. I have a 500 GB SSD and it costs more than $600, but I thought I got a good deal. My laptop takes only a single drive. You have the advantage of being able to use the same laptop 2.

Readers will appear as readers symbolized under "Computer" (Windows Explorer). The SSD will be "C:\ >. Just be sure to move the "My Documents" folder to drive hard (if this has not already been done). Also when you install a new program and it asks the path where you want to install it, put it on the hard drive. In this way, you keep the SSD of McNeil. 80 GB will be plenty as long as you don't try to store large media files.

I have an IMac with time machine and time capsule. If I buy a large external hard drive can back up all my Lightroom Info but also everything else to go to time machine, & that it saves on hard drive new, after he made a backup to time capsule?  This way, I would have two backups.

    Hi marinersr,

I'm not sure the backup machine capsule/time, but according to me, that it backs up all data on your hard drive.

Yes, you can back up the Lightroom catalog on the hard disk external.

You can set the time of the backup under the catalog settings > backup > he would invite to the backup, when you exit Lightroom > click on select next to the location and specify the location as your new hard drive.

If you want images of both original backup, you can configure to create a second copy of the images on your external drive during import.

  • my creative cloud is still on my hard drive.  I want my info only on the cloud not on my hard drive. How can I get all my info right on the cloud and turn off my hard drive?

I have information on my drive and creative cloud.  How can I get this info off my hard drive and only in the cloud for my space on my drive hard is freed up?

    Thank you

@mikeh95269662 - Yes, you can store files in Active CC but have not in your creation Cloud Files folder on your computer.

Creative application Cloud Desktop open the Preferences and move from the general to the creative cloud tab tab. Then, under the creative cloud Apps tab switch to the files and sync on / off select disabled. This means that no files will be synchronized.

You can access your files from https://assets.adobe.com/files for downloading and uploading.

  • Partitioned hard drive share info?

I followed the instructions of Eric Root (thanks), partitioned the hard drive and installed El Capitan.  El Capitan works completely separate or shared information with the original Mountain Lion?  (I did not migrate about Mountain Lion.)

My reason for asking is I have Adobe Flash in Mountain Lion but not installed specifically in El Capitan and everything seems to work very well for example. YouTube with El Capitan, so I was wondering if Adobe Flash is still used.  Sorry if that sounds confusing.

    Hi CabinGirl2016

N ° El Capitan cannot use the Flash from Adobe installed on the partition of Mountain Lion.

Most of the sites are conversion of Flash in HTML5, that's why you are no problems to play the content.
