  My Satellite a200 - 28 p used to read CDs and DVDs, but all of a sudden does not recognize cd or recordable cd brand he does not even recognize the recovery disc came with my laptop.

  I agree with Akuma. Try removing the upper and lower filters that is also described in this paper to Toshiba:

  If it doesn't work try to boot from a bootable CD or DVD. So you can make sure if it s a software or hardware problem.

• Driver has stopped reading discs

  The DVD RW drive on my computer (Vista SP2) has stopped reading & grateful discs. When I put a disc, the green light flashes for a few seconds, then nothing. When I double-click the drive in 'My Computer', the Player automatically opens & I get an error message: "insert a disc. Please insert a disc into drive D ".

  When I looked at the driver through the Device Manager, he told me that the HL-DT-ST DVD RAM GIA-HSSN ATA device work properly. When I clicked update, it told me that the latest version of the software was already installed. Roll Back Driver was not available. I uninstalled the driver and then rebooted my machine. The driver was reinstalled, but still did not work. I did a sfc scan, who told me that there is no integrity problems. Any ideas on the course of action to take to solve this problem would be appreciated. Thank you.

  I have recently installed Windows 8 Pro, installed all of my usual applications etc..
  The problem I've encountered is maintaining display driver crashing. Or have waiting periods. The exact error message reads;
  "Display driver NVIDIA Windows Kernel Mode Driver Version 306.97 has stopped working and recovered."
  Until now it expires randomly even when the computer is idle, and more frequently when I watch videos online. Also, watch a clip full screen on some sites like YouTube is ok, but on others, it is very laggy (updated maybe once per second the image) and the sound is out of sync.
  I can't find a way to properly uninstall the graphics driver.

  At least yours is working semi... I have the GTS 450 (uses the same drivers) and the mine does not at all... Stuck with the regular game pilot integrated ATM and can not all games... Microsoft told me to wait a few weeks and for the reminder and Nvida said 10 ways to uninstall and reinstall the drivers for same. Hope someone with to get a fix for this soon.

  Looks like this isn't just me.
  Just an update, that I can not confirm it as a solution, but I have not encountered any problem (a little screenlag aside) since the installation of the drivers beta. For me, the beta version of the driver is 310.33, R130. The only other change to my system updates Adobe Flash version packaged with Google Chrome to 11.4.31X to 11.4.402 to eliminate serious problems when you watch the video in full screen.

  If you still receive the error message, try the following steps;

  It is possible that the error was caused by too many programs that need to use the resources provided by the graphics card/chip. It is also possible that a certain program caused a conflict that pilots crashed.
  You can try closing some currently open programs one by one and see if the error persists, or restart your system with disabled startup programs and allow them one by one to find the culprit. If the error is too persistent to do the above, it would be easier to start in safe mode option.

  Normally, this occurs if the optical drive cannot read the titles of the index on the CD. It does this so that the built-in firmware allows to identify the disc type and recalibrate the lens as a result.

  It might, however, be something simple as having the 'autoplay' feature to take no measure for that when a disc is inserted in the optical drive will be re - calibrate the lens and then not start any software to actually read the disc.

  Try to insert a disc and then open 'My computer' and check if the optical drive is displayed. If this is the case, then try the "Explorer" (right-click on the icon). If you receive an error indicating that the disk is not accessible or the disc cannot be read, then it is likley that you have a faulty drive.

  I'm trying to transfer data from an external hard drive to my computer. With few files size KB, it works very well, because rate of file transfer is done in a few seconds. However, when I transfer data that takes a little Pluss, when the progress bar is displayed, then I have a problem: in the middle of the transmission of data, the computer constantly to transfer data b/c apparently the external HD can no longer be located.   I currently store my pictures on and an external hard drive.  Lightroom 6 was not able to find the picture momentarily files.  I inserted an external Flash DRIVE after removing the hard drive and the computer renamed the stick with the same drive letter that has been designated by Lightroom to store my photos.  I could go into my Windows 10 and reset the player to the letter that Lightroom has given at the beginning of the external hard drive.   However, I know this can happen again, if I connect any stick USD or another device, while the external hard drive is not connected to my laptop.   I found the information that I can do the new designation of the final drive by choosing a letter it is 1/2 way or higher in the alphabet.   I would like to turn an external hard drive on a strong letter, warns we hope this previous problem.   My question is, if I already have a lot of pictures on this external hardrive with the designation of the current drive, how it becomes a higher letter and have 6 Lightroom recognizes files, now under the new designation of drive letter without having to go to each photo individually and manually force Lightroom 6 find each photo.  It would take more time than I'd like to lose.  Is there a way to get just 6 Lightroom to recognize the new disk designation has changed and is able to find all of the existing files?
