Hard drives not found when you try to install Windows Server 2008

Hey guys and girls,

I've spent the last 20 hours, trying to solve the problem of not being able to install windows server 2008 r2 on a new Dell server.

My configuration is:

Dell PowerEdge R310

4 x 1 TB 7.2 K SATA HDD

Controller Raid PERC H700

I can't even install the drivers that I downloaded from the Dell support site because Windows Server 2008 Setup will not recognize them.  These factors include the Raid Controller, chipsets Intel, SATA etc.

I used the settings default, all changed the Auto Off Ports and vica versa, I put the server in Raid and ATA mode with all the possibilities, but it will be will not detect any HD!

Please help, as it is essential for my health, employment and mental health.

Best regards

Sami L.

What OS?  What RAID controller?  How many discs?  The size?  RAID level?

I can't assume that everything is the same, especially when you have a different system altogether which does not support the H700 (so the files would have been meaningless even if Dell had not broken links). :)

    Hello

I have ESX 3.5 SP2 running on Dell 2950 2 x Quad-core servers and I wanted to watch Windows 2008 Server - 64 bit. When I tried to start the server after creating the new machine virtual and on installing the software on it, I received the message attached - how can I go about fixing/work around this?

    Thank you

    Paul

    (A) make sure the BIOS of the ESX PHYSICAL host has VT extension enabled.  Power off the computer, then power it restore AFTER the change.

    (B) configure the VM for 64 bit instead of 32 bit.  change the settings for the virtual machine.

So if you all were doing correctly, your VM should now start

I have three PCs running Windows XP, SP3.  Two of them are in need of you connecting to a server (2003).  We only use the server as a print server.  There is a HP all-in-one printer connected to the server.

Everything worked fine until this week when the PC non-server, and server computers could no longer access the internet or sign on the server to activate the printer.  The PC on which I write ths investigation has access to the Internet, but not on the server or printer.

When I try to sign the server as admin using a remote connection, I get a message "path not found".  When I go to my network places, I do not see the server, nor can I access a virtual drive that is set up on the server for storing shared files.

    Hello!

Why you n t search forum before starting a new topic?
I mean you will find hundreds of discussions on this question here in the forum and you will find the solution to your problem in a few minutes.

Well, the reason for this is because you need the SATA drivers before installing Windows XP. As far as I know that your laptop is equipped with an Intel chipset and so you have the Intel Storage Manager. You can integrate the drivers of external floppy drive or nLite [www.nliteos.com]. In addition, this document could be useful for you:

  • Product key not accepted when you try to install Windows XP.

Windows Xp reinstall the product key invalid pop up

OK, so here starts my road of woes. First of all, I got a problem with a driver updated on a COMPAQ DeskPro ENS P866. It complements removed all the sounds of this PC. I tried every fix on every techie forum goes without result... including uninstalling, resettlement (thanks to automatic and manual methods). Stop and start services, Fix IT, restores... etc etc. You name it I tried it. I knew that these drivers were on the original Windows installation, so I decided to bite the bullet and do a complete Tassel and take all the patches from its state of origin (desperate that Yes). OK so I took screen prints of my information on the product and information system before you start... I started to follow the XP Reinstall instructions by the support site for windows... and everything seemed to be going great until I arrived at the main screen of the product. I put in my 25 char key and got the pop up "the product Id you entered is not valid. The CD I have, was not a copy retail it was a copy of illigit. However, I bought a license real profit to perform this legal copy... then this could explain why its causing me problems? Otherwise why the * it will not accept my key bought. I checked then double I indexed in as it was printed... and I am really frustrated. Ive gone 1 speaker works do not, no noise, no computer/XP... I tried the Chat Support and they confirmed my product key is still valid... and is the version correct etc etc. But thensaid I need to call a number paying to discuss further. I realize XP is under extended warranty... They want to pay my 46 + VAT + extras before they will even speak with me... at all. So what now? • Product ID invalid when you try to install Windows XP on VMware.

    XP installation of VMware

    Hello

I have a PC under win 7. and I am trying to Flash an old router to wireless access point for a spot of dead in my house. To cut a long story short, I need to Flash the router using a software program that does that on XP (I tried the compatibility options in Windows 7 and it does not work). Then I put on the implementation of a virtual machine using VMware and an old copy of XP, I had. However, when I try and install XP I get the error that the product id is not valid. Now, I know that the software is legitimate - it was part of a XP operating system provided with an HP laptop - so my question is how I can get through the installation? I will not buy another XP code - after all I will ever use again once I finished the flash - and for the same price, I could buy a new router!. I just want to save the Earth, a small piece of discharge potential and save myself $20!
    Any help appreciated
