Sometimes a problem with Firefox can be a result of malware installed on your computer, you may not be aware of.
You can try these free programs to search for malicious software that work with your existing anti-virus software:
- Microsoft safety scanner
- MalwareBytes' Anti-Malware
- TDSSKiller - AntiRootkit utility
- Hitman Pro
- ESET Online Scanner
Microsoft Security Essentials is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista/XP, if you do not already have one.

virus: I struggled with the virus for some time and cannot get rid of them
I have struggled with the virus for some time and cannot get rid of them. I bought a few programs, but they have also been infected. any suggestions for a really good virus buster.
Hello
First of all, an antivirus solution to an already infected system of loading is usually pretty useless. The bug will block all attempts to remove or load what it sees as a threat. Second, without knowing which virus you are affected by, it is difficult to be precise.
You can take action include:
(a) work in safe mode, there is much less likely that the virus is able to load and resist actively.
(b) the safe mode, run utilities malwarebytes.org and AV solution that was installed * before * your infection.
(c) post is back with a better description of what is on your system to learn more targeted advice.

Hi Sharohbbrd,
· You have made no changes to the Windows Media Player before the show?
You may be able to solve the problem by installing the Windows Media Format 9.5 Runtime. Download the same from the following.

Hi shanethornton,
You can try to download Microsoft Security Essentials from the link below for a CD or a USB key and try to run it on the infected PC and check out them.

'iPhone has been severely infected by viruses -' is this possible?
Surf the internet (safari) pops up a window that says that the iPhone has been severely infected by viruses (respectively 7) and I have to follow the instructions to repair the phone. Is this possible or is it a fake?
No, there is no virus in the wild for iOS. This popup is just a scam to try to get you to reveal personal information. Quit Safari and go to safari settings and delete cookies and clear history and cache.

Security Center has been disabled by a virus, how do I turn this back?
Hello
My computer has been infected with a virus that has disabled the Security Center Service. I cleaned my computer since the virus and other viruses (with the help of Microsoft Security Essentials) and everything seems to be clean. Now when I try to activate the rear Security Center, I went to computer Services (services.msc) but did not find the service center of security that there are listed. I tried using the command (cmd) line using this command:
net start wscsvc
but the response indicates that the name of the service (wscsvc) is not valid.
Can anyone here tell me another option (such as editing the registry) which help to turn on Security Center?
Thank you
Using Win XP SP3
I tried all the three methods, but sorry, none of them solved the problem. The last and the best thing I've done is to repair windows by using the installation CD.

original title: anti-spyware in Microsoft windows xp
My computer has been infected with a virus by asking me to download windows xp for $59 virus software. Whenever I tried to load the antivirus software, or similar, I saw in the 'my windows task manager process windows' image or start whd.exe process name my software would be closed and a screen could come that had microsoft images etc on this subject. He asked me to sign up or enter my code', that I could download for $59. I managed to fix it myself, but before I did I sent an email to their 'support center' telling them that I was going to find and to make their visit for wasting my time! I put a contactable email address down and got one got a naughty response. Hello sorry, but there is no payments with your email. Please send me your e-mail to registration or transaction ID thank you and have a great day! email address * address email is removed from the privacy * who can I send this on, it was a scam and for someone who has no idea about computers, they would have to pay somethig to someone to fix it. enough of these people, they need to be stopped.
