I am new to play with a network but I have intermediate level in computer science. I've searched and searched and found nothing working again. Any help is greatly appreciated.

  Run on the supercomputer network configuration wizard.  If this doesn't fix the problem:

  1. download and install the Tools of the Windows 2003 Server Resource Kit .

  2. click on Start > all programs > Windows Resource Kit Tools > Shell .

  3. type these lines at the command prompt, exactly as shown:

  The CSV file is sent as text/plain. If you want to save the file then right-click and use them "save the link as" to save the file or hold the Alt key and left-click that should work on Windows.

  Our users don't have administrator rights, however, there are a few pieces of software that communicates with the hardware using COM ports.  Since they don't have administrator rights, you may not click on advanced in the communications port to set the port to the necessary com com.

  I found reg hacks online that say will open the advanced screen to allow the com to be changed, but none that I've found work successfully.

  Can someone tell me the correct registry setting that I need to grant permission to in order to open the advanced under properties tro communications button and have the available com port number to change.

But whenever I want to install this driver according to halfway, it displays error and say you must have administrator rights to perform this action. But I'm already administrator. I tried right click and press run as administrator. I tried safe mode. I don't have a single account in my laptop.   I have restored all of the changes made by Advanced System Care 5 now everything works.

  Advanced System Care 6 upgrades done a registry clean with no problems this time.

  It seems therefore that the registry clean was the problem.

  It does not look like it cleaned everything more then old software keys and the extensions that I use more.

  What do you have installed?

  TELL or CIS - you mention both.

  CIS is something quite different, which provides an API that exposes the services of the University Complutense of MADRID within the J2EE applications.

  You need to install are the Windows of DIS client components. If you do this there is (if I remember correctly) an option in the installation wizard you need to SAY desktop applications to integrate with (word, excel...).

  So either
  1.Installer SAY (if you have not already done)
  2 put updated your installation SAY (just re-run the program installation or go to settings > Panel > Add Remove Programs > change or remove programs andtick the box for integration of speech)

  No idea why it does not work

  It's a design to prevent unauthorized users to perform certain tasks.
  Installation and uninstallation are some of these tasks that require administrator rights.

  If you are not an administrator, or you do not have an administrator password, you can not install or uninstall.
  Not another way around it.
