What is the format (extension) of these files?

If the extension WLMP project only files are
useful for a re-release in Movie Maker.

If you open the WLMP files in Movie Maker and save in
the film format WMV, you can play them in Windows Media

  • I'm with Windows movie maker and hurt the sound from a cd to a video of the transition.

The system is requires me to select audio from the video or CD, if I choose one then I lose the sound on the other.  I tried clicking audio bars and then adjusting the audio in the clip, but even once, I lose the audio on the other.

  • Problem with the sync audio to video when you use Windows Movie Maker version 6.0

I have a HP Slimline Pavillion S.3220.uk PC, using Windows Vista Edition Home Premium. I have problems with the audio video synchronization when using Windows Movie Maker, version 6.0, I 'get' raw AVCHD files to .wmv using voltaic HD.  I've noticed that the audio and video are out of sync, ONLY after the first thumbnail.  No indirect problem with videos, but when people talk to the camera, in case of DISASTER, as he is out of sync. I tried to reduce the resolution of 720 p and 540 p, and no solution to the problem. Any thoughts on the matter please?

    Hi Fabian119,

Today, there are hundreds of audio and video codecs in use. Some were created by Microsoft, but the vast majority of codecs have been created by other companies, organizations or individuals. By default, the Windows operating system and the player includes a number of the most popular codecs, such as MP3, Windows Media Audio and Windows Media Video.

There might be times, however, when you want to read the content that is compressed with a codec that does not include Windows or the default player (for example, a file compressed with the DivX video codec or the Ogg Vorbis audio codec). Because the player is extensible, in many cases you can download the necessary codec on the web for free or for a fee.

You can visit the following links for more information on codecs:

You can also view the following link to download the audio file conversion programs and check if you can convert AVCHD to Mpeg.

  • Is what camcorder compatible with Windows Movie Maker on Vista Home Premium?

I'm in a bit of a dead end.  I have to make and edit a film which is mostly clips stored in Windows Movie Maker on my old computer which has VISTA Home Premium/64 bit.

In most old clips (that are compatible), I have to shoot some new images.  My recent purchase of a Sony camcorder does not work.

Can anyone recommend a camcorder that will have files that are compatible with Windows Movie Maker?  My Sony clips seem impossible to move outside the Sony software so I can't convert them.

I'm ready to buy a new camera.  I just need something compatible.  Would even buy a used one on E - Bay as long as it will work with the old Windows Movie Maker.

    Can anyone help?

If its on a memory card to buy a card reader, if you do not. Or if you connect the cable it should allow you to see what on it

Most camcorders these days support MP4. If it is HD. The new Panasonic cam I have here, I think that it records in MP4. Since it is 1080 p

The old who is also Panasonic may have been old, (it is not HD), but it had a firewire port.

But I think that it saved videos like WMV (I mean I don't know that it loaded in Movie maker, when I got it)

You will have either to buy a program that supports MP4, or use a video conversion program and convert to WMV

It has an .mswmm file post any suggestions

The place where you try to launch the .mswmm file?
A folder on your hard drive? Directly from the DVD?
Of in Movie Maker... (File / open project)?

. MSWMM is a project Movie Maker (not a movie file) file
and if it gets corrupted somehow... double left
clicking the file should launch Movie Maker.
