  Dear, I installed the HP Officejet Pro 8600 on a Windows 7 ultimate software.  Days later, the scanning application didn't work anymore.  Then I decided to uninstall the software and reinstall it again, but now I can not complete the installation because even when the software recognizes the printer, it can not connect it.

  The printer is connected with an Eth cable directly to a router in the network even when my PC is connected.  The printer is properly connected and works well because I can print from another PC on the same network, but with windows 8.

  Could you help me with a solution? I need to change in my windows 7?

  I can't find any place to enable printing of the confirmation by fax to the wide page.

  There was a suggestion to go to Fax reports, but I don't have a Fax reports page. Fax just history, and there is no option for the confirmation of the turn off.

  The option for fax reports are in the configuration menu of the printer.  I'll give you the steps below to access this feature.

  • Since the premium 8600 home screen, press the RIGHT ARROW
  • Select the installation program on the screen
  • Select reports from the list (maybe scroll on the screen)
  • Select Fax reports out of the list that appears
  • Select Fax of Confirmation and turn it off

• OfficeJet PRO 8600: Reset the administrative password on an Officejet PRO 8600

  I lost a large part of the contents of a Mac 4 years when an electrical short burned inside in a way that Apple could not determine the cause. The end result is that I found that the administrative password for my 8600 died with the old Mac that I have been unable to recover the keychain that had all the information a password in it. I wish now that more importance was pointed out in the instructions when passwords have been set up, on the future need for them to use as many important features of the printer.

  I see that you are trying to reset the administrative password for your HP Officejet Pro 8600, and I'm happy to help you!

  You can do a reset of the printer using the LED screen on the printer. Select Configuration, then Tools, then restore the default settings. "Restore default settings" is the last element of the list, and then you must scroll down to see it.
   
  This clears all the settings of the printer, including the administrator password.

  Cannot remove the default shortcuts, but you can change only those.

  I don't know when / if there has been a change or we live just the strangeness even . I couldn't go to our 8600 using the same method as you who seems to think the habit of work. Our IE has been updated, so something could have changed there but it's the method I used that worked: in IE or simply explore (if you use windows 7 don't know if works for vista or below) type: \\ipadress\memory_card . It is possible that the IP address may have changed with the new printer. Do you have the ip address or make sure it is correct?

  I don't see anything that says Web Services - there is a HP Digital Solutions facility, which was used when I initially created the printer. What I can't find is the email address to send so that I can print remotely.

  I have a 8600 Officejet Pro running on a home network where all computers run Windows XP Professional SP3. I installed all the updates the OS published by Microsoft.

  Updated the firmware of the Officejet device comes in a file named ojpro_8600_n911_a_1304A_10042013.ful.rfu and the instructions talk to unpack this file to get a file with the extension .bdl. I don't know what software will unzip a file with the .rfu extension so I don't know how to get to the .bdl extension. Can someone please explain to me how to decompress this file?

• Problems with the transfer software for MacBook Pro, MacBook Air

  The store transferred applications and content of a machine for new applications of the NEB and most works OK. However, the Adobe Creative Suite 4 Design Standard CS 4 for Mac (purchased in October 2009) is unusable. I need two packages in particular: In Design (this is the version 6.06 and continues crashing, which gives a 0x0008014B error code) while Photoshop said some components are missing and must be reinstalled. How? Adobe says these versions are incompatible with the MacBook Air and that they can offer no support. I'm not technically proficient and feel totally perplexed. Any suggestions?
