HD store-bought from the computer broke down, new need for Vista Home Premium

Computer is running (a bit) on Windows 2000.  I'd really like to come back in Vista.  Machine bought came with virtually NO cd just a little but highly recommended to 'restore' cd I've completed this step, but obviously, they are not intended for this use - tried to start a 'restoration' by loading "disk 1" of my cd 4 - but find this one .dll after another is either missing, or does not contain the correct data. ".

I have the activation code for Vista - which means that I would really like to be able to install without having to pay as much as I already have the 25 digit key.  Impossible to find anywhere on the site Microsoft that seems just... all I see is upgraded to various service packs.

* original title - store-bought computer s HD crashed. Bought the new HD and got that runs on Windows 2000 to now - new Vista Home Premium need - already have product key for computer but to recover CD not recherche.*

The only people who can provide your recovery cd is the manufacturer of PC

Missing waiting when restoring file is usually an indication of a problem of memory PC or cd drive

    How does the Windows 7 upgrade Option?

    The Windows 7 upgrade Option is available through participating PC manufacturers on some PC and Microsoft on any purchase of packaged product Windows Vista. The Windows 7 upgrade Option applies to Windows Vista Home Premium, Business and Ultimate editions. Your upgrade to Windows 7 will be the comparable version: so you will get either Windows 7 Home Premium, Windows 7 Professional (upgrade to Windows Vista Business) or Windows 7 Ultimate, respectively. The Option upgrade Windows 7 program runs from June 26, 2009 through January 31, 2010. Some manufacturers may choose to shorten the time of upgrade Option.

  • A hard time with the drivers for Vista Home Premium computer laptop computer network with Windows 7

    OK, I've read tons of information on that and I'm stumped.  I have an Epson Stylus CX6600 all-in-one printer.  I have my Windows vista Home premium networking with my 64-bit Windows 7 computer.  I go to the step where the machine Vista attempts to connect to the printer on the network, then it asks a driver.  The driver file is already on the vista machine.  I installed the latest drivers from Microsoft and epson on the Windows 7 machine and he always asks a driver.  Can someone point me to the exact file name and the location of the driver in the vista vista machine so I can simply copy and point to it my windows machine 7.  I did the updates from Microsoft to get all the latest drivers.  Thank you.

    You do not install the Vista drivers on Windows 7 computer.

  • Printing for Vista Home Premium 32-bit network: Blank document or disappears from the queue

    I'm having trouble printing large format HP DeskJet 1000 c, which is connected via a parallel cable to my Media Center/DVR PC running Windows Vista Home Premium 32 - bit SP2 on my printer. I connected with the success of this printer to two different computers, a desktop PC running Windows Vista Home Premium 64 - bit SP2 and a laptop Mac OS x 10.5.8. I can print from the local computer very well, but when I try and use the printer on the network, one of two things happens depending on what machine I try and print from:

    1. from Vista 64 Desktop: printing the task appears, treats and disappears from the queue to the local printing on PC DVR. Printer advance a sheet of paper as if he were about to print, then waits with a power indicator light flashes. If you send a new job network, the tip sheet of paper is ejected and the process begins again. If you send a new job locally, the tip sheet of paper is ejected and the local job will print normally.

    2. from Mac OS x: printing the task appears, treats and disappears from the queue to the local printing on PC DVR. Printer does nothing.

    Although the process of networking of printers with OS X 10.5 and Vista is a bit more complicated (annoying) it was with XP, I am able to print from the Mac to a printer on the Vista 64 machine very well. Similarly, PC DVR allows you to print to the printer of the Vista 64 computer and a printer connected to my Mac desktop.

    I checked the HP site for drivers and since it is a quite old printer, there is no listed for any operating system newer than Windows 2000 (which a pilot has been included with the operating system). Any ideas as to why the PC DVR will not take of the network print jobs? Unfortunately, this complex printer (3 printers, 4 machines) installation is somewhat needed due to the possibilities of each printer and how my home office is laid out. If they did a multifunction, printer laser color large network format, I could sell my soul for what it... But I'm not aware of such a machine available to mortals.

    There is a difficulty that recently came on the HP Forums for 64-bit Vista:

    http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/printer-all-in-one-software-and/DeskJet-710-720-810-820-100-series-printers-patch-for-64-bit/m-p/203377#U203377

    All you have to is to download the mentioned file and replace some dll with those provided.

    The question remains with OS X, but I do not expect that Microsoft will provide no support for this.

  • Downgraded from Windows 7 RC1 for Vista Home Premium - now cant access partition Bitlocked

    Hello

    I've been running Win 7 RC1 7100 32 bit on my laptop since its release and found absolutely great and have not been issued with it either. Unfortunately I had to return to my previous operating system, Vista Home Premium because of the RC1 of the trial is about to expire. (I have not yet bought my new copy of Windows 7 Home Premium).
    I had a configuration partition C and D under WIn 7 RC1, with D used to store personal data.  I used Bitlocker the lock on this partition.  I prepare to remove RC1 this weekend I moved all my other documents and downloads of the libraries under the D partition C for later access and moving them back to C when Vista was facing up and running.
    But when I tried to access the drive D Vista he invites me to format this drive.  When I looked under administrative tools - disk management it says that the D partition is secure by Bitlocker.
    How can I access my data on the D partition?  I have a good amount of photos on the D drive and I still need!
    I thought to download Win 7 RC1 again to install it so I can have access to the Bitlocker tool, but I can't find it on the Net.
    Please any help would be appreciated.

    The download is finished for a long time.

    It's something that you have made while using Windows 7.

    It comes with Vista, upgrade install and activate Forum.

    To access what has been done with 7 can I, I would suggest asking in the Forums of Windows 7 or Vista Security Forum here:

  • Usefulness of the right temperature for Vista Home Premium

    I'm checking the temperature on my Vista Home Premium, so I need some suggestions... And what do I really get a temp on the subject and what should be a good temp reading?

    have the toshiba p205D-S8802 model. I am away from home and don't have my boot drive or my program files. I can send and receive e-mail and can browse the web. I can upload files to an external hard drive, but cannot recover in a normal way.

    Please answer all the questions of diagnostic following by number in your very next answer (no need to quote this post):

    1. what application or antivirus security suite is installed and your current subscription?  What anti-spyware (other than Defender) applications?  What third-party firewall (if applicable)?

    2 to give application Norton or McAfee application ever been installed on this computer?

    3. do you have a free trial Norton or a McAfee free trial come preinstalled on the computer when you bought it? (No matter if you have never used or activated).

    4. When did you install Vista SP1?

  • After you have installed the free updates for Vista Home Premium 64 bit, Windows will not start

    After that I installed the free updates to service pack 1, the system goes through 2 of the 3 steps, while it recharges, then the system does not boot?  To get the computer to work again, I need to run the repairer of Windows, which allows you to restore the system to an earlier point?  Does anyone have an idea how to fix this?

    Do your system restore, then:

    Click Start > right click on computer > properties > Windows updates down the lower left corner > updates installed in the lower left corner in the next window

    > then click the one that you don't want > uninstall will appear at the top > uninstall it.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    In addition, on the page where you clicked "Installed updates", click on change settings at the top left corner it
    > Change update settings in the next page of AutoUpdate to "check for updates but let me choose etc" > OK ".
    When you take a look at pending updates, you can either download/install them one at the time, namely the update causing you problems.
