I just bought a Satellite L650 / 07C. When I bought it from the dealer, I was under the impression that this model came with the function disk hard drive shock protection system (hard drive Impact sensor).
I ran the Toshiba PC Health Monitor application, but it seems not to have this function - it gives me the power settings, Temp and fan are monitored, as well as a status of hard disk drive, but nothing on the disk hard drive shock anti-siphoning (hard drive Impact sensor).

Under my file utilities Toshiba HDD SSD Alert application that shows the same icon as the one I saw in the reseller on their Toshiba Satellite when they did there evidence the shock protection system. I ran this application, but it gives me just a status message that the drive works properly.

Could someone please confirm with certainty whether the model I have this feature.

    Thank you very much.

Everything goes well with your laptop. I made a screenshot and uploaded to show you:

  • use of iPhone time data system Services and location

Since last month, data use under Services system-> time and place has increased "substantially." It's pretty evenly half my data use, whatever I do. I have not added new applications or use the phone differently I have in the previous months.

I use a tracking, human application, but even if I turn off mobile data for her and use of data in the time and the place continues to be half of my mobile data.

How can I start troubleshooting? I have read the discussions here and off mobile data and background update and synchronization for most things. This has reduced the use of the data, of course, but the time and the place continues to be half of my data.

I'm on a 1 GB plan, that was a lot, now I close out maxxing when I don't care.

    Hi branches,

Thanks for checking out the Apple Support and communities for the detailed information of what is happening with your data in time and place. I can understand wanting to make sure that you are able to easily manage your usage data and wanting to know which application is causing this additional use.

Since you have already completed these steps, I recommend you to disable the location Services for all of your applications, and then turning them back on one or two at a time, as needed, to help determine what applications likely to use your location. You can disable the location for applications and services system with these steps.

Enable or disable location Services. Go to settings > privacy > location Services. You can turn it off for some or for all applications and services. If you disable location Services, you are prompted to activate again the next time, that a service or application attempts to use it.

Disable the location Services for system services. Several system services, such as the calibration of the compass with geolocation of ads, using location Services. To see their status, activate them or disable, or display the location Services icon in the status bar when these services use your location, go to settings > privacy > location Services > System Services.

You can find the steps listed above in the iPhone user guide.

  • Utility Toshiba HDD Protection cannot be installed on my C50-A513 Satellite

I have a Toshiba Satellite C50-A513 running Windows 8 x 64. I tried to download Toshiba HDD Protection three times, but every time I download and then to install it, nothing comes. Once its installed, nothing does not appear. It's like the installation bar ends but no dialog to the HARD drive protection arises. I tried to search in under MATERIAL AND AUDIO Control Panel to check if she had been properly installed but found nothing interesting there.

Yes, I did download the right driver suitable for my laptop and that several times too just to be sure. Someone could tell me what is the problem with this and how can I make it work?

    Waiting for answer,
    Thank you!

According to specification specifications your machine was shipped with preinstalled Win8.1 64-bit so I m wondering what exactly you do.
Please don't get me wrong you have the machine with the latest version of the OS, but now you have problems with the old version of the OS.

Somehow, it is not logical for me.

In any case, I ve tried to check the download page for your machine on http://www.toshibamea.com/en/Download-Files but anyway it doesn't work properly. I assume that there is only a temporary problem so I can't check what kind of stuff is listed for download.
Out of curiosity but have you installed driver Toshiba system first?

  • Re: HDD Protection utility has stopped working?

I came just to look at the Toshiba PC Health Monitor yesterday and I saw that my HARD drive protection did not work. I clicked on the drive and all my functions are greyed out and I couldn't allow him once again.

So I did some research on Google and saw that I'm not the only one having this problem I did what other people did and tried to install the HARD disk Protection software... once again. Well about half way through the installation process, I get the following error:

    * 2753.The error file 'startmenu.exe' is not marked for installation

and you can click the 'okay' box that automatically closes the program. I don't know what to do now.

    I have a portable Satellite P755-S5269 I bought a week ago.

    Hello

I studied a bit and it seems that the 2753 error file is not marked for installation appear under different applications so it s not related to the software Toshiba other apps but is generated from the Windows Service install detect old installation of software that cannot be removed.

I recommend you download and install the Windows Installer Cleanup utility and remove all detected HDD Protection Utility versions.
In addition, you can also try to clean the registry using the CCleaner.
Then restart the laptop, download and run the HDD Protection Utility setup once more.

You are looking for HDD protection Utility for Win 7 64 bit system.
    Right?

The utility of the HARD disk protection was preinstalled on Win 7 32 bit system?

I found the 64 bit HDD protection utility for series Satellite L755 version.
There are two different versions: v 2.2.1.12 and v2.2.0.12

Try to install both, but before you do this, you must install the VAP (value added package) for 64 bit system

  • consuming more data system services

    Hello world

I'm on a limited package data on mobile. When I use the data on mobile, it's ok. But, when I connect my phone to the computer, the services of agencies use more data than me. For example, I sail around 20 MB and the system is using 80 MB of my 3 G data connection.

I have disabled the Windows Update temporarily. But even after that, my PC running Windows 7 is to consume more data. Is it possible to stop system services that use the internet?

I could control the service using resource monitor, but I can't stop them.

I want a program or software that lets only Internet Explorer (IE) IE browser to use internet (and no other service does use the internet.)

    Thank you

I have rebooted the host in question, as well as switched cell01 cell02 hoping to isolate the problem, but this does not work either.  Someone at - it else run into this recently?

When a host is ready, we put a flag above to ensure that the host is associated with an instance specific vcloud.

If the host is disabled, then the flag is turned off and VMs will fail to vMotion compatibility (preventing virtual machines running on the host).

Ideally a unprepare/prepare should do the trick, or just activate the host if it has been disabled.

  • Satellite U300-11V: where to find Toshiba HDD Protection for Win7?

My Toshiba U300-11V has been factory-installed with Windows Vista.
When I recently upgraded to Windows 7, I had to uninstall the Toshiba HDD Protection program as it was incompatible.

Y at - it a compatible version of Windows 7 from this program somewhere?

Generally, it should be possible to install the app on your U300

    Check it!

  • Libretto U100 - HDD protection warning appears during playback of some CD

    Hello

The sensor HARD drive protection warning when I tried to play some CD. So far, this has happened with 2 CD, one which I have tried to install the drivers (which I "finished work" ultimately and downloaded the drivers from the Web site instead) and the other I tried to install an application (which finally installed but I had to "end task" and eject the cd). After the "end task", I checked if had installed it the application and it was completely installed, but the CD was 'stuck' in the installation dialog screen somehow, and "Finish" screen does not appear.

I don't think it's the player that I played a cd of music without problem. I think that the drivers are ok, because the buttons on the unit are functioning as intended. The cds are without dust and scratches.

If anyone has experienced this problem and you know a resolution?

I look forward to your reply.

    Kind regards.

    Hello

    Strange

Usually HDD Protection detects the vibrations, shocks and these signs in the computer and head of HARD drive (HDD) moves automatically to the safe position to reduce the risk of damage that might be caused to the drive in head-to-disk contact.
But I put t. see connections between the Protection of the HARD disk and playback of the CD.

However, the HDD Protection Utility controls the HARD disk Protection sensors.
Maybe you should try to reinstall this tool.

Go to the Toshiba European page, download the utility of the HARD disk Protection 1.01.08 and reinstall.

Then you can check if the message appears again.

As far as I know the Toshiba HDD Protection Utility V2.0.2.3 (for Vista) was pre-installed on the U400 series, so in my opinion, the sensor is available.
