• Utility Toshiba HDD Protection cannot be installed on my C50-A513 Satellite

  I have a Toshiba Satellite C50-A513 running Windows 8 x 64. I tried to download Toshiba HDD Protection three times, but every time I download and then to install it, nothing comes.   I came just to look at the Toshiba PC Health Monitor yesterday and I saw that my HARD drive protection did not work. I clicked on the drive and all my functions are greyed out and I couldn't allow him once again.

After the "end task", I checked if had installed it the application and it was completely installed, but the CD was 'stuck' in the installation dialog screen somehow, and "Finish" screen does not appear.

  I don't think it's the player that I played a cd of music without problem. I think that the drivers are ok, because the buttons on the unit are functioning as intended. The cds are without dust and scratches.

  If anyone has experienced this problem and you know a resolution?

  As far as I know the Toshiba HDD Protection Utility V2.0.2.3 (for Vista) was pre-installed on the U400 series, so in my opinion, the sensor is available.
